Jay Chou Stuffs Himself with Good ol' American Food

According to Taiwanese media reports, Jay Chou sported a noticeably rounder face during his recent return to Taiwan for promotional events. He admitted to gaining 5kg during his trip to America and joked about feeling more like "a middle-aged man" than "a young and handsome man".

For his first Hollywood role as Kato, the sidekick to the Green Hornet (played by Seth Rogen) in the film, the singer had to appear more beefy and muscular. He underwent various training in Los Angeles for the past two weeks in which the production crew arranged for him to go through a series of English, gym, and driving classes to better prepare him for the part. Contrary to popular belief of Hollywood being a fun and exciting place, Jay scoffed and protested, "I was complaining more than anything! The shops are always closed after classes, I didn't get to experience Hollywood's extravagance and that makes me angry! I felt that life in America was really boring."

The singer confessed to having a poor grasp of the English language and openly agreed with the Americans' preferences of having the US-born Wang Lee Hom for the role of Kato because he "has a better standard of English."

However he added, "Given the opportunity to act despite being horrible in English, it's really cool!" The multi-talented musician was quick to cover up for his weak language skills and quipped that he was good and fast at memorizing the scripts. Despite his ongoing English classes in America, he gently reminded everyone against habouring too many expectations of him. During the press conference, Jay jokingly shared his most fluent English phrase-a vulgar slang, no less, "What the hell?"

Jay is set to return to the States at the end of the month to continue with training and filming. He divulged that he has composed 10 new songs for his latest album and will have to coordinate his recordings and filming schedule to see if a year-end release is possible.

P/S: Even though he feel like a middle-aged man but I swear his new haircut make him look younger than before. So CUTE!!! Then, about the new album, just take your time Jay (although I really want him to release it this year). This is because he will be in Hollywood filming The Green Hornet till the end of December. I believe your fans can wait for your new album

arghh I am desperate to see footage from the press conference!! A year-end release would be fantastic, but I agree that he should take his time and make the album the best it can be. I don't mind waiting a few more months, as long as it doesn't take a whole year lol.

OMG Jay is sooo nice to give Wang Lee Hom the role(If I read correctly) and now hes learning more english!? Gives me a big thrill! AND his new 10 songs for his new album, I'M SOOOOO getting it now. This album is probably gonna be awesome as always
