The most 'captivating' Panasonic handphone of the year, the GD**, which is capable of imagine capturing, was unveiled yesterday, in a unveiling ceremony. The spokesman for the model, Jay was also present during the event. In addition to portraying the ultra-cool image used in the commercial, he also gave the press a show of his funnyman side, and helped to make the event a lively show.
To emphasis the distinctiveness of each model, Jay had to portray different roles in each and every of the Panasonic advertisements. Soon after playing the magician in the GD55 ad, this time Jay had to be the computer games expert, and had to battle with the female lead in the virtual reality.
Although Jay only saw the finished version of the ad during the ceremony itself, but he thought the action sequences in the virtual reality looked really cool. But he did say that the white vitrual reality bodysuit he wore in the ad was really uncomfortable.
As this GD88 model had excellent sound and video functions, Jay carefully explored and played with the phone while he was resting backstage.
The emcee of the ceremony, Huang Jia-qian, was all full of praise of the phone's point-and-shoot camera function. So she went over to Jay, to find out what he thought of the camera function... To her surprise, that was not the most attractive feature to Jay.
To Jay, who loved to wear beanies of all sorts, the first thing he noticed about this phone was the flip-open design, because he could then tuck the phone into the beanie to reach his ears, and need not take off the beanie to answer a phone or listen to the phone thru the beanie. And when he feels really lazy, he can stick the entire phone into the beanie.
To his credit, he did think the camera function of the phone was really useful, especially when he wants to make the some photo to be his desktop photo, or when he wants to send any pictures to his buddy.
Huang Jia-qian, who happened to be Jay's ex-senoir in school, asked Jay which type of girl he prefers, her type or Li Feng (the female lead in the commercial). Jay replied immediately that, of course he prefers his senior, because they have common ground, and hurried the emcee to her next question. But, unknown to him, the organisers had arranged for Li Feng to appear as the mysterious guest... So when Li Feng appeared in a sexy outfit, Jay was so shy, he didn't dare to look her straight in the eye.
But finally, he managed to say, her outfit today definitely looked better than the all-white outfit she wore in the commercial.

MacDawn:
I saw the commercial, and thought he looked a little strange... I still like the GD55 one better.... But I liked the look of the phone though.... Maybe when it comes out, I would think of getting it, but I wonder would there be any special gifts like the GD55 one?
