I would like to take this chance to celebrate the release of the second movie yipeee! i loved diary and i can't wait to see edge of reason, which i will be doing tomorrow. the book didn't even have much of hugh grant's role, so i look forward to seeing how they 'mangle'/distort (hope not) the original

anyhow, it's great renee zelwegger is so into the role; i think her accent's spot on, but i just find it kind of sad she has to bloat herself up just to play the role and then shrink back into a bony hollywood star so so irrealistically quickly. imagine what a torture that'd be!!! donuts one day and then piece of lettuce the next.
and who thinks she looks better as a brunnette?
i don't know about this one...this delicate issue is rather hard.

OMG I love Bridget Jones! The first movie was fantastic and I've watched it millions of times and still can't get enough. Renee Zellweger is superb and :drool: Colin Firth is yummy.
I found it disgusting how her mother went off with that jeweller guy in the first movie, I mean, bad taste :rolleyes: And the Prostitutes and Vicars party was SO funny!
I'm watching the second one today as well!

The second one is not out in my country. But i have watched the first one and it was hilarious. Couldn't stop laughing!!! This movie is best watched when u r single and with all your other single friends! Haha.. Really an enjoyable movie!

i dont really like renell zellweger.... or the rest of the cast, but i think if it was someone else like brittany murphpy or jessica biel, i would definitely watch it...

i dont think the guys are that cute. sorry for just criticizing the cast, but other than that the movie looks really cute, and such a CHICK FLICK. i might rent the first one out, just to see if i like it.

if someone is willing to pay for my ticket to that movie, i'll gladly go, it's jsut that i dont think i'ts on my list of must sees

Actually i don't like e cast either. But i have to say renee zellweger is a super person, she can gain wt jus for the movie and lose it after that. The movie is really funny. Their conversations r quite witty. Ya i guess it is more of a chick flick. Cos it is abt single middle aged women falling in love.

it was good...satisfying i guess to see everyone back again, and there were SO MANY embarassing moments it was so funny
overall i loved it...i think it deserves me buying the dvd when it comes out
but parts of it are sugary and predictable- but that's the general air of bj anyway
i wanted hugh grant to have a bigger part in it!!! *better not spoil*

Ah!!!!!!! I was supposed to see it yesterday too! But then it turned out it didn't work out too well...argggg I got so mad...I want to see this movie so bad...I've been watching previews and trailers non-stop because I'm a loser...but ahhh I want to see it so bad...it looks SO funny..I was already laughing in those previews and trailers...ahh must go see it, MUST go see it...

OMG I saw it today and it was fantastic! I almost died in the bit where she was skiing and lost control and ended up in a pharmacy! And when she did actions to show the lady at the counter that she wanted a pregnancy test I laughed so hard I cried! And Colin Firth...yummy...
I found it ironic that Hugh Grant orders prostitutes in this movie, as he was caught doing it in real life in '94 :rolleyes:
And the scene at the jail was so sweet! I love the 'two cigarettes if you lend me your bra' thing.
*Spoiler* And they got MARRIED in the end! I was so happy for Bridge, she deserves it, spunky girl! And it was sad how she wasn't pregnant, Mark was so excited and I found it adorable!

hey guys i saw it the other week...finally....

though it wasn't as good as i had expected.......i dunno maybe cos i had seen all the funny bits during the previews on telly which didn't make the movie that funny when i saw them again...and again....

it was a cute ending and all though the only bit that was really funny was the fact that the thai prostitute was actually a guy...ahhahae ^^

and to make it even worse for me my bf took me and he kept getting calls on his mobile all the time from his friends.......i was sOOOOOOooOOo pissed off....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

i'm soo envious, cos i really absolutely totally love the first bj movie and although it's out now, i don't want to see the german dubbed version. :crazy: i can't tell how many times i watched the first part. and not only the movie but the novels as well - they're so hilarious! when i picked up the two books i wasn't quite sure what to expect, since i usually don't read that kind of stuff really. so i started reading the first one in the train... and it was soo embarrassing. i started laughing and couldn't seem to stop, in front of dozens of other people. they must've thought me nuts! (well, i am, but i don't want it to be too obvious, you know... :tongue: ) the second part was even funnier, so i'm kind of really excited about it. i really liked the cast in the first movie and the whole thing was soo hilarious. i don't even know whether i like the novels or the movie better. :D

I loved this movie! Usually, sequels suck but this one it great. This made me fall for mark darcy. (colin firth) He's so sweet. Renee was chubbier this time. The fight scene... *classic* :wink2:

Me Me Me !! I love Hugh Grant? :love: Even though he's getting older but he's still so cute! I love his performance in "Two Weeks Notice". BJ 2 is also a nice movie ... romantic & sweet ~ I went with my girls gang...and we were all feeling like wanting someone to romance with. Yeah I loved this movie. Sometimes movies that come from books aren't so good but I read both books and saw both movies and they were great!

It was such a great feel-good movie!
And it was shot in Thailand too! So pretty....Its just so sad that the girls in the prison with her had lousy english. Gives thai girls a bad name.
i love Colin firth and hugh Grant even more. They are so much fun to watch. Bridget was over the top funny. i enjoyed it alot.
