Found this in another forum..
think it is quite interesting and true too
1. The Attention Seeker:
You will be seen in the forums quite a lot of the time. In fact, it is not unusual to see your name on nearly every thread. You do not really know that much but you want to make out that you do. People start a theme and you simply run with the ideas put forward. When you do not know the answers to people’s questions you attack them and try to make it look as if you are in charge. You use such tricks as ‘Try searching first’ or “Have your read the manual/wiki?” because you have absolutely no idea yourself but are afraid others will find that out. Your soul aim in the forum is to be loved and adored. Ironically, you create the opposite feelings from all users and they can’t wait for you to get a fulltime job.
[b]2. The Cynical Know-All:
You are superior to the rest of the human race and you have such a quick wit that you often cut yourself with it as you freely hand it out. You attack the weak and the newbie because they are easy prey. Waiting for victims to drop such remarks as ‘Why won’t anyone help me?” is your favourite pastime. This allows you the freedom to leap into a thread with cynicism and sarcasm blazing from both barrels. You try to hide yourself behind the fame of the administrators and if anyone even dares to question your ideas, they will instantly feel your wrath. Most users have little time for the Cynical Know-All because they know they are just in a need of a big hug but they don’t want to actually be the one who has to give it to them.
3. The Saint:
Loved by all and cherished by the masses your purpose in life is to answer every question placed in the forum. You will go to extraordinary lengths to please everybody all of the time and you are not confined to only working in the forums. If necessary you will pack your bags and move to another person’s domain, sit with them in their FTP and MSN rooms and carefully diagnose every subtle nuance as it is revealed. Amazingly, you will just as quickly be gone, off to save another poor soul without even so much as a goodbye or au revoir. You are the epitome of all that is good in the world and people place stickers of you on their car bumpers and make billboards announcing just how magnificent you are. Your humble nature is your trademark and the inspiration that others seek to emulate. Enlightenment is very near!
4. The Techie Professor:
Your foray into the forums is hinged solely on your need to impart technical advice. Much of your life is spent making plugins, analysing extensive code and having to go into the forum and answer questions about your work is for you, not a pleasurable experience. You are easily frustrated with the questions and comments from the laymen who go to the forums for support, and if you can pass off the technical assistance in the forum by someone else writing the ‘how-to-guide’, then you will jump at this possibility. Your own sites are usually very, very simple and although you are heavily involved in developing more advanced solutions you rarely use them yourself.
5. The Designer:
You love the limelight. If the forum did not exist you would probably be doing something completely unrelated to design with your time. For you, making a template or design and having the whole forum go “Oooooo, Ahhhhhhhhh, WOWWWWW, Can I have your autograph now please?” is the same as experiencing sex for the first time. The hours you spend pouring over code, making adjustments, aligning - realigning, changing, starting again, cursing and generally not spending many hours in actual daylight, are all rewarded when the first person who sees you post a new design is carried away on a stretcher from the sheer exhilaration of the whole concept. You love the users in the forum - you love them asking questions of your design and you will do anything to keep the masses happy. One important note here: Never place two designers in the same cage as it will only cause enormous aggression and will ultimately result in death for one or both.
6. The Watcher:
Over 95% of the forum population are Watchers. You sit in the seats dotted around the stadium and watch as new entertainment is thrown into the ring again and again. You love it when there is a battle between the techies or when the designers get together and really put on a show to remember. For you, writing in the forums is not an easy task. You are easily scared by such people as the Cynical Know-All and it is not unusual for you to put on a bold face, type up a well-planned post and at the last moment you hit delete and go back to watching. You may put up your hand sometimes and ask a question in a quiet humble manner, and it is at these times that more of your fellow watchers will also follow you into the ring. You find contentment in numbers and safety in their approval. Perhaps Mimmicking Monkeys may be a more approrpriate title for you, as you find it hard to really do anything in the forum unless one of the pack runs in and does it first.
