Comes out 12.10.04
You guys remeber Oceans Eleven right? well last week i was on a bus headed back from new york city and i saw a billboard that said "Oceans Twelve. . . Twelve is the new Eleven" and i though 'no it couldn't be! they made a sequel!' yup its true, and everybody from Oceans 11 is back. the cast includes
Cast: George Clooney (Danny Ocean), Julia Roberts (Tess Ocean), Matt Damon (Linus Caldwell), Brad Pitt (Rusty Ryan), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Isabel Lahiri), Casey Affleck (Virgil Malloy), Scott Caan (Turk Malloy), Vincent Cassel, Don Cheadle (Basher Tarr), Andy Garcia (Terrence "Terry" Benedict), Elliott Gould (Reuben Tishkoff), Eddie Jemison (Livingston Dell), Bernie Mac (Frank Catton), Shaobo Quin (Yen), Carl Reiner (Saul Bloom), Martina Stella, Bruce Willis (cameo)
(symbolically, the 12th person is Julia Roberts' character who wasn't in the gang in the first movie)
In this movie they are going around europe looting in Rome, London and Berlin. apparently the guy the robbed in las vegas is now after them and he wants his money back and they have a new enemy in europe. . . the only thing seperating them is an ocean.
Thanks to Movies @ Yahoo.com
Premise: Danny Ocean (Clooney), reignited flame Tess (Roberts) and the rest of a band of thieves and con men (some returning and some new), team up for another three huge heists, but this time they're in three different locations (Rome, Paris and Amsterdam) (perhaps handled by three groups of four thieves each?). In Amsterdam, the prize is Rembrandt's "De Nachtwacht" painting, which resides at the Rijksmuseum. Meanwhile, casino owner Terry Benedict (Garcia), whom Ocean and crew ripped off in Las Vegas, is hot on their tail, looking for revenge...
Filming: Production has been pushed back a month from March 1st, 2004 until April 14th, 2004 due to a (rather ironic) achilles heel injury Brad Pitt suffered while recently filming Troy) (source: Army Archerd, "Variety" 12/16/03). The first locations will be in Rome, Italy, and the budget for the film is in the $85 million range, which is the same budget as the first movie. Other locations after Rome will include Paris, Amsterdam, New York City and Chicago. Previously, London and Berlin had been announced as locations, but they were replaced by Paris and Amsterdam.
if you guys want to view the trailers go here: http://oceans12.warnerbros.com/
enjoy!!! can't wait for it to come out!!

i havent watched ocean 11, but do you have to watch that, to understand ocean twelve. i wanted to watch the first one cos of brad pitt , george clooney, and julia roberts. they have a dynamic cast.
but brad pitt and george clooney, are one of the hottest guys 40 and up :-) that's one big reason i wanna watch it

well oceans twelve would make alot more sense if you watched oceans eleven first. in the first one they rob a las vegas casino and they become arch enemies with the owner of the Belagio hotel/casino (thats the one they robbed) in oceans twelve, the owner of the belagio hotel is after them because they stole millions of dollars from him and he wants it back. so yea it would make alto more sense if you saw the first one. you should watch it! its really action packed! highly reccomend it!

Ocean's Twelve is the one movie that I think everyone's going to see regardless of how good/bad it is. I mean, COMEON. With a movie with Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Catherine Zeta-Jones, AND George Clooney, how could anyone resist? Plus, Ocean's Eleven was such a fun movie! I can watch that movie over and over again and not get sick of it. I'm so excited for this sequel! ^^

Woohoo, Ocean's Twelve!!! It is partly shot in The Netherlands!!! OMG, why didn't I go to the set? Could have seen Brad, Matt and George!!! I think the first movie was pretty great and hope the second one will be good too. For me, it already has pluspoints, cause it's not often for such a big movie to be filmed (partly) in NL. Plus, great cast!

katie, totally agree with you! i'll definitely go and watch the movie...if it's not for the cast, it's for Amsterdam! :D

anyways, i can't wait till the movie comes out! :excited:

yeah i remember watching ocean's eleven. it was a wonderfully filmed movie. what i liked best was when the gymnastics guy was talking chinese. he said in chinese "why can't we dig under and come up?" in very crappy chinese. haha and at the end, the hotel manager (was he the hotel manager?) found out that the video they received was actually a fake one filmed beforehand.

nah it wasn't the hotel mangaer, it was the owner lol. if it had been the manager then he probably wouldn't have been so pissed that millions of dollars got stolen from the belagio hotel. haha the chinese guy was hilarious. he was like four feet tall and yet he was the most amazing acrobat. i can't wait to see what his role is in the upcoming movie.

is it just me, or am i the only one that thought that oceans 12 wastn good, seriously. mayb it's cause i didnt watch oceans 11, but i was never interested in that though. on friday, my friends, literally forced me into watchn it, cos i was celebratin an early birthday wit my friend who had the same bday as me, and she was like just go for the sake of it. and i did
cos i was thinkin why not, george clooney and brad pitt are both in it, they're both hot, but i seriously did fall asleep, it was frickin long too, like 2 hours, only in the ending it kinda got interesting, when they were tryn to jack that egg thing. but that was the only part that i liked

Well, actually the main idea of Ocean's 12 is actually ocean's 11 where Catherine Zeta jone's the 12th Member i think...
I didn't watch 11, but along the way...the movie did give us some "flashbacks" about the juices of 11. So, when i was watching it, I didn't really fell asleep, cuz I was talking about the movie as it goes along with my friends...
Alot of times, I don't really get the black humours that were injected into the movie...
And the ending part, where the solo thief did the great dance to avoid all the random sensors... AWESOME!

lol i totally second that...i watched it the weekend it came out and ommgg *SNORE* i have NEVER fallen asleep in a movie before...but maybe it was late and i was tired...but in the beginning i was very alert kuz i loved the first one...they were so slick..but as it DRRAAGGGEEDD on...i thought i'd close my eyes n jus listen to it but hahah didnt work..i fell asleep, woke up here n there. yeah and it DID seem long kuz it seems like i slept for a long time. lol i never thought i was a movie-sleeper before this. but then again i stayed up the whole night before studying...so i have an excuse

me too, i had never fallen asleep before in the movie theatre, so that movie kinda ruined my streak there... it wasnt even late too, right after school
i agree, the part where they show that guy like dancing throught those laser security rays was awesome, but i kinda thought it was weird, cos those rays they move randomly, so he was willing to take that risk?
catherine rita jones, is the 12th member ? is that why it's called oceans 12?

I saw Ocean's 12 yesterday and it was okay. I was unsure about what was happening until the end of the movie when everything started making sense. When the French thief got past the sensors was he breakdancing or doing capuera (spelling is wrong I think), that Brazilian martial arts that looks like dancing? Either way it looked very cool. Some parts were too slow though, but the ending was really good.

The first one was WAYYYYY better! I really did not enjoy this movie at all!
Don't worry Xi Xian, I was so confused as well in the beginning! I'm really slow when it comes to movies!
Brad Pitt is so darn sexy!!! *faints* George Clooney is hot too! *drools* did you know George Clooney is ONLY 2 years older than Brad Pitt (I think he's 42 or 43)! he looks so much older!
Overall, a good movie for perving, but not worth the $14.50 AUD that I paid!

catherine rita jones, is the 12th member ? is that why it's called oceans 12?
I thought the 12th member was actually Tess Ocean, played by Julia Roberts, for her role in helping to (literally) make up the numbers in Rome.
*** SPOILER ALERT ***
I didn't understand some of the things in the movie (probably more actually) but one of the things I immediately thought of after the ending credits were screened, was why/how Le Marque (the retired master thief) knew how the Egg was going to be transported to the museum, who was going to do so, the backpack used, and when that guy would be making his way to the museum? I know that he stole it long ago but his wife made him put it back but how did he know about all those? :?
Any suggestions/possible explanations?

That doesn't really explain things though. As are a few other things in the movie.
Anyway I had a look at the IMDB message board (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0349903/board/threads/) for Ocean's Twelve, and I guess alot more people are puzzled over other things too. You might wish to hop over for a look if you're interested. :D

Wasn't he getting something for his wife Tess for their second 3rd-year anniversary? :?

O's 12 was a piece of crap! too many twists, too many jokes that wasn't even funny, julia roberts being julia roberts...

gah i'm so dissapointed that i don't feel like typing ion other forums at all...
so i went to see ocean's 12 today. and here's my report:
please, please, if you are one of those who hasn't seen it yet, PLEASE don't waste your money on it. it is NOT worth it. first of all, the story doesn't start off right. what i hate most is that it keeps jumping around in time. one moment, you're on a wedesnday, the next they take you to a week before. it is frankly confusing what's happening in the "present". it's quite a feeble attempt to reconstruct the excitement of ocean's eleven. aside from the star cast, it really lacks what makes a movie good. there is less action in it than a romance film. unlike ocean's 11, there is barely any real robbery. please, don't see this movie and waste your energy, time, and money on something else.

This movie was crappy! such a good cast but dodgy storyline. i watched the first one but not all and i didn't concentrate but i think it's better than this. it's gotta be. will watch it again to verify. i wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone
please, please, if you are one of those who hasn't seen it yet, PLEASE don't waste your money on it. it is NOT worth it.
hahahaha, totally agree, i was disappointed as well. i dont really get what are they trying to say in the movie. there's lots of part which they let u guess and their trick for stealing the egg is so simple and not interesting at all. it's so different that ocean 11.
my friends slept in the cinema while watching this movie with me, ahahahaha....
i guess, u can judge how nice this movie is.

i thought hte movie was ok.. it was really annoying how it kept jumping around and saying '2 days later, 3 weeks earleir etc'
i thought the tess playing julia part was hilarous!!
and yes many of the jokes didn't make sense, like the one when they went to meet a client, and matt damon ended up calling they guy's daughter a whore... totally didn't understand that...
but hey, the dancing guy was funny, and the cast was hot! loved how they put in catherine zeta jones in it.
overall, i would say that if u want to see the movie, just wait til it comes out on video or even better, on tv when its free! *like if u have on demand* this is one of those movies u shouldn't pay to see (like dodgeball, meet the fockers, etc)

i agree julia being julia roberts, that was like really corny, although it did actually wake me up during the movie and i manged to stay a wake the rest of the movie. what was even more cornier was that bruce willis was in it as well, and he played himself too
wait, so it's called oceans 12 because in a way julia roberts became one of them?
i agree, either rent the video or just watch it on TV when it airs, cos it's honestly really not that good

Another disappointing movie that I watched. In comparison to Oceans 11, this was a really crappy movie. The cast was totally awesome - Brad and George Clooney :excited: :excited: :excited: .....but what a storyline.
First, I found myself totally confused after the movie had ended...it's almost like I was sitting there for 2 hours not really "getting it" at all. It's almost like I didn't know what had happened in the whole movie.
The storyline just dragged on and I didn't see any "reason" for everything they did. And when the movie ended the first thing that I said was...."huh".....what happened there?
Totally confusing and yeah, same here, don't really know who the 12th was. Julia or Catherine? No suspense or action that I wanted or expected from this movie. It was a a waste of my time. Only this time - I felt that George Clooney has grown to be EVEN MORE attractive and Brad was just so-so. :wink2: :wink2: For his age, he is "hot". :brows: Very sexy,... in my opinion.
Anyways, Oceans 11 was soooo good and this one....was just too disappointing!
