Anyone here went to Jay's antique shop before?
I went there a few weeks ago~ oh boy, it was so hard to find the shop, there are so many alleys there  ~ it was actually all my fault! I left the address in the hotel (anyway, thanks to Candy for the address! )~
The shop wasn't really big but the design is okay~ One of Jay's antique cars was parked right in front of the shop!! :excited: It was a gold mercedes benz (the car that he showed Patty Hou in Jay Chou's Diary) !
There were the oil painting did by his mum (the Yeh Hui Mei album cover) and the army uniform that he wore for Qi Li Xiang's cover in the shop! I did not dare to take pics inside the shop as the shop assistants don't look really nice :worry: .. Maybe I look like a Jay's fan? hehehhe.. anyway, my mum was really brave though, the moment she stepped into the shop, she asked "lau ban bu zai ar?" (your boss is not here?).. I was already laughing when I heard that but the shop assistants were really cool and they were like, "har?!"..

charmian, wish everything goes well for you!! Remember to keep the address with you 24/7!! It took me more than one hour and I asked more than 10 people for the direction! But don't worry, Taiwanese are really friendly people and are always willing to help~
This is the address (thanks to Candy) if you need it:
OMNI by JFK
台北市敦化南路一段161巷52號一樓
(52, Lane 161, 1st floor, Dun Hua South Road, Section One, Taipei)
Business hours: 2pm -11pm
You can go there by MRT, and get off at 忠孝敦化 (Zhong Xiao Dun Hua) Station,
Exit no.8
I did took some pics from the outside~ I don't think they allow any picture-taking in the shop~ Maybe you can try doing so, next year? I'll try to get a scanner to scan the pics and load them here~ But it might took some time since my semester break just started~

I'll do it with my camera phone. :excited: Then it'll attract less stares. haha. :bleh:
Anyway, Yep..i hope so. thanks for the address!! i'll save it in my phone, print it, save it in folders. LOL. Do anything to keep it with me 24/7. :-)

:D I am thinking to visit there someday too, yah the stuff there must be very expensive more than we can afford.
hmm.. they didn't allow you to take pictures, did you see any sign in front of the shop ? If I have a chance to go there, I must take some picture for sure, andif there is no sign for not taking any pictures, I will absolutely take a risk haha
Your mom's really cool !!

pyre, the stuffs that they sold there includes chairs, sofas, old clothes, sunglasses and some other antique stuffs.. but they have quite a lot of clothes and sunglasses and chairs too! and I really do think his staffs there should clean the stuffs, it is so dusty and makes the things there look like some dirty old stuffs rather than antique!
miao~, LOL.. you are funny!! But I guess the whole Taiwan would have know who is Chou Ma Ma? hehehe...
But I think his staffs aren't really that friendly... maybe it's because they know I'm his fan and probably they also know that I won't be buying anything? hehehe.. in Jay Chou's Diary (with Patty Hou), a girl who managed his shop said that there were fans who visit the shop almost everyday, so I guess they are already used to it... until they can identify which is Jay's fan by just glancing? hehehe

i wan to go to his shop man! juz 1 2 check out all his stuffs! may_510..ur mum so sporting! i wonder got pple will buy their antique stuffs there anot?
may_510
10-23-2004, 07:33 PM
devonn, yeah, my mum is really sporting.. sometimes, I think she is more sporting than me! She actually accompanied me to Jay's first concert in Malaysia!
I think there are people bought stuffs there.. but err, based on the location of that shop, I doubt if there were actually a lot of people who pass by there.. unless they got to know about this shop and go there purposely.. I remembered watching from Azio that a fan of Jay actually bought a chair from the shop! hmm.. I can't recall seeing any price tags on those items, so I guess the stuffs there are pretty expensive~

i've never gone to taiwan, but if it was like in shanghai or maybe united states, i might go. hehe
Same here!
:? Well, everyone knows all the s.h.i.t about TW and mainland relationship is not great... Well, at least mainland opened up a bit and allow visitors to come from TW (well, ya know it's for money earning, anyways, and maybe some so-called connecting with roots, yaddy-yaddas...)... but if you have a PRC passport like me (though I am a PR in the States already), you have to go through complicated visiting visa process... and BTW, who am I visiting in TW anyways? I don't even have a relative living there... a TOUR visa? I don't know... so Taiwan is like a place I would love to pay a visit to, but blocked by political ignorance.
At least just to visit Mount Ah Lee... that's a place that I know of since 2nd grade from the textbook :worry: I freakin' love geography! :shifty:

Sadly, no. Hope to go there in the future! I read in the news that many taiwanese local stars visit the place/street there. Maybe jay also frequents the place since his shop is there? :brows: Hmm but I doubt he can find the time to stroll there cos he's so busy. Sure wish to go there next time, lucky to all those who have been there! :D The shop seems to be mysterious and funky..

Hi everyone!
Really glad that i managed to find the address here, been asking around but seems that no one knows..haha..
I might be going taiwan sometime this year. I would really hope to go to his shop and take a look!
Actually i am also curious to know the other places where he hangs out. e.g The antique restaurant that he was introducing to hou pei ci in Azio news and the bball court in which he usually goes..hehe..
