Which book are you talking about?

Are you referring to Iron Box of an Island?

Hmmm...well I just got my copy from a friend who's from Shanghai, but the downside is that it's in simplified Chinese. I can't read every single word of it but it's fabulous with all the pics of Jay. I was confused as to whether some of the poems by Alex Fang(?) were Jay's songs...I know some of them are, but the others got me excited and thinking whether they were actually some songs of Jay I never heard before. If Jay comes to the east coast for a concert, I'll be sure to try my best to get him to sign it. Then I'll post it up here for y'all.

i guess it wouldn't be as worth it if you couldn't read it.. but i mean, with all those jay pictures in there, it'd still be very worth it! ;)

i really want it but my mom said it's a waste of money and she thinks i'm over-obsessed with jay. haha =X

hey...yea i heard about jay's book the iron box of the island...i saw the cover of it on a site and i was trying to find it in shenzhen (where i live) and i have diffiuclty finding it...since im going back to taiwan for the summer..i was wondering if neone would know if they still sell it in taiwan...i've asked my cousins and right now im waiting for a reply...thnx ^^

I got the book quite a while ago, and i think htat it's great! Jay looks absolutely wow-wee and vincent's works are great too! it's really worth buying, those who havent buy it yet. GET THE BOOK! =]

Emjay where you get the book.I search high and low in singapore and still could not find the book.I search almost all the popular in the west site ad they say out of stock.If order need 1 to 2 mths.I can't wait.

you can get the book from Kinokuniya at takashimaya.....yeah...it's realli 100% worth buying.....though i don't quite understand the poems and short stories vincent fang wrote in the 2nd half of the book....only understand the front ones.... :wink2:

For those interested in the book, i have seen it in Kinokuniya (Takashimaya) today at the Japanese and Chinese information counter at $14.90...

However, please ask the counter ppl to let you have a look at the copy before you buy it because it looks like this batch of the books are not original or the print quality is not good... I can't tell you anything else as i have not seen the first edition before....so i can't really compare... :wink2:

i bought it for 30$ in vancouver (on the day of his concert here)

And it's gorgeous. i kiss every picture everynight be4 i goto bed. that's why i never get any sleep.
well no. I did the nite after the concert. but he is really gorgeous in it. and everywhere else. but i can't read any of it. i want simplified version.

i think most (if not all) of the writing is by vincent fang. um... the parts i can read are all really really. really really good. but then what do u expect from vinc. ^^

but yeah. if u love jay. get it.

Wow you guys paid a lot for the book. They're only US$10 in Taiwan. I bought one last time I went to Taiwan, and I bought another one this time.. couldn't help myself. ^ ^

I LOVE the pictures in the book. And the writings by vincent are beautiful. I like reading the page with Jay's profile the most :]

I got this book half year ago,cost me rm40+ after discount in Popular bookstore(Msia),i think i cant saw this book anymore,mayb its been sold out or no longer there or whatever reason~

But this book is very nice,Vincent Fang wording and Jay face~shiok!!very nice,the pics already worth for everything~plus the wording and the lyric that write by vincent and jay~hmmm....so nice

try to get it from kinokuniya,i think still got,although the price mayb fluctuate,but its worth
cos....the 1st book by jay~

that book is actually by fan was shan and not Jay, it's got some of his lyrics in it and talks about himself. And Jay pose for the book.
so if u cant read chinese you can only look at pics of Jay.....
and if u didnt like Jay's style when he is at the "fantasy" stage, then u won't really like the pics that is in it... coz 2 b honest, he doesnt look that flash

erm cant remember the store name but its located at the raffles place mrt station itself, there a lot of shops after u go up through the escalator. Do u know theres a Burger King nearby? Its somewhere there, will check it out for you tomorrow wats the store name and the address :D

The words inside are written by Fang Wen Shan but i could not really understand because his Chinese is simply fantastic!
However there are many pic of Jay.
I think it's worth buying.

i went back to china on the christmas holidays and bought 'Ban Dao Tie He' (iron box of an island', yes it is VERY good! it's full of poems by fang wen shang/vincent fang and has LOTS of fab pics of jay! i heard from a friend that it was published without jay's permission...but i didn't know that when i bought it because otherwise i would've thought twice about buying it.... i bought every one of his cds (and i can assure u none of them were pirated) and did u guys noe there is also another book called 'Jiu Ai Zhe Yang de Zhou Jie Lun' (Just love this type of Jay) and it's all about him with some pics (not very many). i dunno if that was published without his permission but it's got heaps of info about his (love?) life, etc.

This was in Shanghai by the way, so i dunno if the 2nd bk i mentioned is avaliable anywhere else in asia.
