The King of Hong Kong pop, Jack Cheung, and Prince of Taiwanese pop, Jay Chou, will have start their battle in Las Vegas!

The theatres of the two major casinos in the US will be in a sea of starry blaze this holiday session. During the Thankgiving weekend, Zhang Yu, and Peng Ling will be having their concertsin the Carlos Hotel in Las Vegas, while Tian Niu will be holding her concert in both Carlos and Harvey Hotel in Reno. (MacDawn: I am not sure if I got the names correct, I am just doing a direct translation from the names given....)

Other than the Chinese singers, the MGM Hotel also arranged other singers like Cher to have their concerts in their hotel.

During the Christmas week, Jay Chou will be having his Jay-The One concert in MGM Hotel, with Zhu Ying as the special guest; On the other side, Jacky Cheung will also be holding his Jacky 2002 Music Journey concert in Caesar's Palace from the 25th, and he will be perfroming for three nights.

Every year, during these two major holiday periods, it is the time when the casinos in Las Vegas and Reno start attracting the chinese guests. Although the market was affected by the Sep 11 incident, the casinos in these two areas are still pushing to attract the chinese tourists.

The concert tickets ranged from $35 to $100. In adsition to Jacky Cheung's concert tickets, ranging from $50 to $188, there are still the VIP tickets, which is resevred for the special guests of the casinos.

According to the personnel from Caesar's Palace, since this is Jacky's first time here in US holding his concert, and mainly because he had not been to US in a long while, the tickets to this concert were snapped up in within a short time. This time, Jacky will be bringing his family as well as his concert entourage. In addition to the Asian styles so characteristic of his concert, he will also be adding a bit of american style into his show. This concert with its Mandarin and Cantonese contents will be a concert to look forward to!

The new R&B prince of Taiwan, Jay Chou also had a great ticketing sales. The tickets ranging from $40, $65 to $150. MGM's concert location can accomandate more than 17,000 people. If Jay brings all the contents of his Taiwanese concert to the US, it will also be a spectacular concert.

MacDawn's Footnotes:
Hmm.... I feel pretty funny translating this article, coz I think our people in the US should be more familiar with things than I do.... And beside, I know nuts about the places in the States, so please dun laugh too loud when you read my translations......
