Some programs conflict with MapleStory, and needs to be shut down in
order to play the game. To do so, simply click on YES and restart the game.

We've also had numerous reports about IEXPLORER.EXE conflicting
with the game. This problem is being addressed. Please keep explorer closed for now while playing MapleStory.

yea i played this game too but World of Warcraft Open Beta started 2 days so now im stucki playing that game cause its SOOOO much fun soo addictive!!

Maplestory is cool at the start, with the customablity of the characters but the game itself is quite boring!

level up is like waiting for the paint to dry. I'm a lvl 29 warrior waiting to level up to advance to the 2nd job. It's slower than I expected. I'm stuck at lvl 29.

The only problem with the game is lvling up !! It takes forever to lvl up.. starting at lvl 7, one snail only give about less than 1% exp..I decided to play magician after giving up on my thief. My lvl 10 magician takes lot of time recovering sp and lvling up!!!But my frien said that we lvl up faster when we are higher lvl.. not sure whether it's true.
But i decided to stop the game ;) but Maple Story is cute:)

You can get many quests when you're level 20 - 30. You can get a quest from blackbull. The reward is a shield - only for warriors. If you got the red tri shield you're very lucky. you can sell to the shop for 25k. Some noobs will buy it at a ridiculous price.

Jack Shwetty's quest is sick. I need to get 50 lupins' banana, Milk and a Unagi special. Sounds easy but in order to get the milk you need a refined diamond :dry: I would rather sell it and my friends can start calling me Richie again.

By the way, going to the sauna heals faster but it requires mesos.

if you want to choose your class, consider this

warrior - easy to lvl at beginning but getting harder on the middle part, however, it roxx on the end

bowman - suffer very badly at the beginning, in the middle quite ok but in the end will be one of the elite higher class job

thief - hard to train at hte beginning. but gettingeasier in the middle part, the end? no idea

mage - when become mage, hey can use magic freely. easy coem easy go. always blame for KSing. haha (i hate mage)

I don't know about that because I'm still at level 15. But I heard my cousin said that you level faster if you are a warrior. Sitting on a bench levels you faster. When you stand up, it's 10 and sitting down is 15. I see many that people are being magicians. I guess some of them just couldn't wait. LOL. Well, I am a bow-woman, a crossbow-er.

By the way, how can you find more quests? So far I only had one, and that was back in Maple Story about the Bigg's Collection.

you can really heal faster when sitting? haha nice. hehe i'm a bowman =P.

i think you can go to the maple story website: www.mapleglobal.com and my friend told me you can go look for a section called quests and it will give you possible quests. haha i didn't see the bigg's collection until i was on victoria island.

Yup, sitting on those benches heal faster. You sit by pressing "X" when you stand in front of a bench. Yea, I looked at the quest section. And I have a few quests on hand to be done. I don't think I can get it done with such a low level. So I have to get some training done. My cousin had the quest but didn't find the orange mushrooms until I told him when he already left Maple Island. LOL. I started the game before he did and he's gotten farther than I have.

Oh, I have 2 characters now, Akura as a bowman (bow-woman), and Ekura which will be a warrior soon. My Akura is finally on lvl 18. Now I regret it, I think Akura should of been a warrior. Too bad I can't change it. :oops:

I like Maple Story better than runescape as in friends Because in Runescape there are a lot of "RUDENESS" and "SEXIST" comments and the 3-D thing is very laggy. I mean girls can play, too.

IMO, Warrior class is the best coz they have the longest HP (maxed up str, hp and def comes from here) and max damage, hunter class will be the second with the high damage but HP lower than Warrior class. The next will be rogue as they have high avoidability. as for mages, they might look strong in the beginning but... they have low HP. my friend lvl 40+ cleric (the one who can heal himself) also cannot manage to excape balrog. bang him twice and he is dead :bleh: thats IMO. lol... my char is Archer lvl 24 (soon to be 25) lazy to train lol. i restarted my char a few times coz of screwed stat and skill points....

Maple maple maple....I took a long break from RO(private server) to try maple....starting it was super cute.... then when I reached Henesys....whr I changed to archer....it started to slow down.... I wanted to choose mage so I could be a cleric...but my fren stole the job...oh well I hate mage's anyway....KS-ing me in RO and now Maple... Good thing about Maple is party quest and stuff....and u can be lvl 15 and ur fren lvl 30 and u still can share exp in the same party!!! Lolz....the fren who intro Maple partied me,...wif his assasin... :dry: then exp just kept coming.... :bleh: But now keep on having to dl new patches....stuck at lvl 19..... :dry: And I unfortunately have a wrong stat or two.... :oops:

hha. the exp u gain is like 1 or 2 only. i tried party a lvl 40 cleric with my noob acc (lvl 10) and i get 0 exp :bleh: but anyway, i leeched his money :heh: i am also stuck at lvl 25
got 2 abandoned (screwed ) character and 1 hanging there at lvl 25.. haha

Altho I think F2 is a super weird way to smile.... :dry: I usually F3 my fren behind her back..but she can see anyway.... :rolleyes: I think its the monsters u hit....cause my fren took me to so many places and ended up in the tree's hitting green mushroom...

Maple is 4 those who can spend the whole nite playing like my fren....tats why he has TWO 30++ characters... :dry: Im forever gonna hang at 19 or near 20....lazy wanna play :oops:

You can get the snowboard by killing Evil Eyes. It was so special in the beginning but now that so much people have it, it's kind of boring. I think there's a black snowboard. Now that would be cool. Some people offer a million to buy the regular snowboard.

Now there are so much hackers. Dumb people.

so after i painstakingly downloaded the game i kept on playing and playing and playing...

causing me to neglect jc.net!!! everytime i got on my comp i just played maple!!! arrgghhh....

azn_noodles Hmm. I think turning into a cleric would be pretty cool. Especially if you plan to party with people, you can heal them with your skills. Some guy invited me in a party and said I'll heal you. Than I would leave, because I didn't want to like slow his leveling and he said just party him when you needed to heal. That was so nice of him. This would help for your fame.

I'm finally lvl 32. But there's something wrong with MapleStory lately. I can't get on or even maybe open it. That stupid runtime error keeps on popping up. I donwloaded the whole thing and tried reinstalling it but it still didnt work. Now something popped up and I have to redownload again, 2nd time for this stupid v.0.26-0.27 patch. Is anybody else resulting in this problem.

And posting on MS is screwed. I tried posting messages but it says error in the DB, contact administrator. Than a few seconds later I could post a message, and when I typed in the character name, it showed another name. It showed Nebby! And I was like WTF??? There was this person who had my name, htruc as posting and I was like WTH, WTF? I mean who can possibly have a name like that. I know there aren't many that has Truc as a last name anyways, but exactly the same, that's really strange. Are these random names being posted up?

Well to conclude, I want to play MS, but it's not working and it takes me hours to download the whole thing. So mad.

Yea im pretty much sick of ms, cuz its really glitchy...and i HATE the damn jumping quests...i could do the first one, with some frustration, but the 2nd one bothered me for way too long, i just gave up (which is very unlike me)

But yea htruc, its been that way for everyone, no point in re-downloading, their servers have some kinda problem, always d/c me and the new patchs are full of bugs obviously -_-

I swear this game is gonna be like gb...after a while ill just stop playing, and then quit -_-

There's another instructor for the third job advancement??? I thought there is only one instructor for each job and than to advance to the third one you talk to the same person.

Well, I play in the Maple Global sector. The east coast one fo North America. So far, the highest level I have seen is level 70. Anybody in this sector seen anybody higher?

And is anyone selling a level 35 warrior shield? My character is Ekura. Thanks.

3rd job instructor is in Ossyria which is yet to be implemented.
I play in the east server and the highest level player I've seen is lvl 87. High level players are common sight in east server but most of them are hackers. I hate them to core :ranting: :thumbsdo: :profanit: :bang: :realmad: :dry:

From some dude, I heard that Ossyria is coming out in 90 days. They said if they stay on task, it'll be 50 days and if it's late it will be 90 days. I asked him where he got all this information and he said he sees the GMs. I haven't even seen a GM before. He said they already put some parts of Ossyria already. Well, I hope all this is true.

Plus, is anybody experience a major lag in the US server. It has been going on for days now. I'm so mad. I nearly died because of the lag. Hope they can fix it ASAP.

Sorry, gladwin. I don't have any panlid to sell. I never pick up anything that is worth a lot. I'm so mad this guy picked up a dark calas (it's worth 2 million mesos), and I was like right there. :dry:

It's a pain to level. I'm only level 38, I can't wait until level 40 to wear my "Jagoon" (a.k.a. General Asian Armor) set. And what's with some of the new name changes? I mean some are ok, but some are so weird. Anyone know if Ossyria is out yet?

Its not painful to level at lvl 38.
Train at wild boar land.
Step 1. kill the boars
Step 2. kill many boars
Step 3. kill boars and boars and more boars :wacko:

I never trained at wild boar land at level 38 though... A friend of mine reached level 43 in 9 days spending most of his time in wild boar land. Shocking everyone in his buddy list in progress.

I'm from the east, lvl 61 fighter. Now its painful, I need 1276301 experience points to level. :dry:
I would love too. But one big problem. Magicians and Thieves everywhere using their throwing stars. It's hard to even get a hold of one boar without others ks-ing. I'm a warrior, so by the time I get slashing, some players have already used their "magic" power and etc. And also burnt land, full of high level magicians, too. :rasp:

:wacko: And you're level 61!!! :dry:

I finally became level 39 yesterday. By the way, does anybody know what's the amount of strength points needed for a level 50 warrior glove?

180 strength is required to wear the gloves.
Nobody is a gentleman or lady at land of wild boar.. you can try evil eye cave. Not many people train at evil eye cave(not sure about the west server).

LOL, I found Land of Wild Boar II, but not as many monsters appear. Evil eye cave is sometimes empty or a whole party is there fighting.

By the way, does anybody know where to kill Mushmom's?

Go to the left of henesys where the taxi is.
You will see stairs over there, jump to the top. Press up to send u to the next portal(its just above u). Enter.
Go to the left where you will see metal pig statue.
Press up around there, you will be sent to the next map. Iron hogs' land.
Walk to the right where the next portal is. Enter
Go up where the portal leads to the mushmom.
Mushmom spawns 45~60 minutes after it was killed.

Anyways, i agree with Squall. If you're not willing to spend the tons of hours needed to train up your char.. then its best to skip the game since it gets repetitative after awhile. If you dun train, you're stuck at the lower lvls and get ksed or bullied. You start to train, you become lifeless.. lol..

=] Im a level 56 warrior (fighter) in windia... Its pretty easy to lvl up just go to pig beach and kill afew of those until your lvl 21 then go do some party quests in kerning city...
If you guys ever need help and your in windia just message me or add me to your buddy list I guess I can spare afew mesos or something ^_^

Maple tends to get boring after a while.
I would always advise anyone to skip this game if you are not willing to spend hundreds of hours sitting in front of the computer fighting the same mobs.
My bro also just quitted after he hit 72
i totally argee but i kinda bored of it but thinking i want to kill zakum and higher lv mobs make me train my account again now currently lv 72 too fire mage

maybe i should stop mapling as school reopening and wait untill holiday then play and at that time i may not be bored with maple since i so long never played

MS really gets boring when none of your buddies are on or that you don't have anyone to talk with >_<. You can also get married in this game, which you can go find someone that's cute =P.

i play maplestory! i was playing since about 2 years ago, and i'm only at lvl 63. yep, i'm pretty lazy. XD i play on scania, and i only go on during the weekends now. all i do are opqs to gain a level. talk about lazy. i'm a female spearman. haha

XD played this, got a lvl 60 spearwoman and a lvl 62 bandit on windia...i quit a coupla months ago...it does get addicting, but i convinced myself dat its got no point n i spent like 50 bucks on nx cash T.T

**do miss the memories though, its way more fun when u hav an active guild whose members u noe well, n do more guild stuff together, as well as with ur budies

any 1 heard of maple story mob? MS is running a promotional site that allows users to do real life quests that they post to get fame points, for every 5 fame u have ( no relation to the fame in the game) they will give u 1k maple points :D
