They rock, no? If you ask me, they're the only punk rock band worth listening to. I've been a fan since forever. And now their new album (American Idiot) still rocks.

Green Day came back amazing with this year's American Idiot!

Although their stuff used to be more punk than rock, this album seems to have gone more rock-ier... not saying its bad!

After their amazing set at Reading/Leeds, everybody should have a go at listening to their single, at least. :-)

That is like so true. And they're no American huh? I have a feeling they aren't because of the song. I think that they're just another Blink182. Three guys. A guitarist, bass, singer, and drummer. Does Green Day have a dreummer? Anywho, I really like the singer's voice. From all the songs I've heard from them, I think thay're diao. =)

i have no idea but one, just the word "green" makes me not wanna check their music out. two, their image is awkward. three, american idiot was a mess. for some reason, i don't like green day. on the good hand, "time of your life" is a good song (when they're not on screen. :wink2: how choosy i am! :bleh:)

I thought their MV for American Idiot was cool! The way they shoot it.. I liked the part where the green slime burst out and flooded the whole studio.

I think Green Day is ok.I'm not really into their American Idiot song.I liked their much older songs, like When I Come Around, Basket Case (my fave), Minority, Time Of Your Life etc. Those were very very nice songs! :happy: I actually bought their greatest hits, International Superstar and it was really good and worth of buying it.And guess what?I'm currently having their greatest hits album in my discman. :laughing:

I love Greenday. They're like one of my fav English bands Besides Simple Plan of course. I like Greenday's voice like on American Idiot and Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Gosh their band worked out really well.

greenday's not bad in terms of lyrics and melodies and such, but they REALLY should work on their arrangements... no way were the arrangements on American Idiot worthy of a grammy... but other than that it was good =)

I really liked their song way back in 1998 "Time of Our Life."
But now from their American Idiot album I like "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "Wake Me Up When September Ends". Green Day's songs are very nice to listen to! Does anyone know the meaning behind the song "Wake Me Up When September Ends"? Because when I listen to the lyrics they sort of make me feel sad.

if you listen to the complete album
you'll find that american idiot is a punk rock opera
it tells the story of jesus of suburbia

and the opening song is also kind of like the introduction
its the anthem that jesus of suburbia screams out to the world
