do all artists make a mv for all of the songs on their cd?

this question has been bugging me for quite a while, and since i can't take the constant nagging in the back of my head everytime i watch a jay video, i'm just gonna straight out ask u guys: do all chinese artists (or even jap, korean etc) tend to make an mv for all of their songs like jay has?

I'm going with a no because Jay doesn't own them just like he doesn't own slaves and well, just cause your friend jump off the bridge doesn't mean you follow after and risk a broken leg or even a neck you know? So a no it is (though other artists have done it, I know a lot of thai artists do it though).

yeah... i know shinhwa only makes a few MVs out of each album.. most korean artistes only make a few MVs out of one album.. :shifty: it should be the same for japan and taiwan i guess.. but Jay is an exception.. :yeah: anyways, i dun mind him makin more MVs.. he tot of some of da MVs concept and i think its awesome.. :shiny: shows dat his creativity juices can go out to other areas instead of juz music.. so yeah.. and i get to see more 'moving images' of him too... dun u think?? hahaha... :clink:

Actually there are more artists that don't make MV's for all their songs on a CD than ones that actually do...besides Jay right now, I can't really think of an artist that made a MV for all of their songs...because I think that the artist pays for the video not the company...or I think American ones do I heard. So maybe they think it's only necessary to make a few, and then make another album. Some MV's are already pretty bad...like just shot on green screens unlike Jay's awesome videos, (example of a cheap video: Twins - Thousand's Gold, it was completely shot on a green screen with these little fish swimming around which I found really stupid...). Yeah, but I just think it's because Jay's that special. =)

i'd say very, very few do. s.h.e., and f4 are two other chinese music groups that have done it, but i haven't seen any american or korean or japanese musicians do it. it probably takes a lot of time and money, but i think it's worth it. plus, the artists make more money too, right? everyone should do it :-)

No not all. Jay made mv for all his songs because he may want to sell a karoke vcd, jus like stefanie sun and jolin. However not all. For those artist who have lower budget for their advertising they will not be able to film so many mtv. So it oso depends on e artist popularity.

i think it depends on the artists..
if the artist is famous and have many fans..
they will make MV for all the songs because many of it will get into the music chart or something..
and they can easily sell a MV Vcd and earn quite a huge profit

No, most artists don't, especially Western singers. Normally they only make video clips of the songs they're going to release but the rest of the songs are just left to be heard on their album. I think it's only Asian artists who make video clips for all their songs - that's why it really confused me when I started liking Jay's music. I'd never seen it done before he came along.

Hmmm... yah.. S.H.E. for the latest album, they did make mv for maybe 8 songs... but don't think others did...
I am still regretting over the vcds that i bought... many of the songs were like... from concerts clips... :dry:

i think that jay releases alot of MVs, but i think in the US, the artists, they just release like 4, max, singles, and just promote those, adn make a video for them. it's basically to promote their ablum. but how they choose their singles, i really dont know. i use to think that they choose the best song, but after watchn some videos and listenin to some songs, i always feel like the artist should've released this song on the radio, and make a video for THIS song, not that song

many artists just make 3 to 6 mvs for each album.... and i think that is because they can

not spend much money on that... because that is just one part of their promotion.... but

there are some artists that make many mvs like J.Lo and Shakira... i am not sure... :shy:
