um. ahem. did u really mean that? hmm...if i were a admin...*out you go* do u hav somehting against gay ppl? or maybe u hav something against the fact that guys can ALSO like Jay? face it. we like him. and not all of us are gay (i dont know who are). sooo....the many chix that like Britney Spears are ALL lesbians, is that RIGHT? they even dress like her, make their hair the same as her. we arent that drastic...but we do like his hair and clothes!! what hav u got against guys that like Jay?

What does that mean? Are you trying to imply that the guys on this forum are all gays? That suggestion simply means that. I don't care if you are gay, or are trying to make fun of the people here. Stop that.

Ok, put it this way, In europe one of the biggest, and one of the most powerful fan clubs is an NSYNC fan club organized by a gay community and guess what only 50 % of that tremendously huge numer of fans are actually gay.

Like i said earlier, it is how you phrase your introduction. If your introduction has been, "Just curious, is there a Jay fan club for gay ppl?" Do you think you will be offended by it personally when you see this? Ppl will be curious why you want to ask that but definitely not offended at all. I can read the question in the heading loud and clear, don't go thinking that i don't understand. :hmm:

I'm sure voladeb doesn't have anything against guys who like Jay, since he is a male fan of Jay himself. I think what he was trying to imply is that since so many of Jay's fans are male, he's bound to have some gay admirers.

It's easy to see how it could be interpreted wrongly though. :sweat:

And voladeb, to answer your question.. no, to our knowledge, there is no official club for gay fans of Jay. And also to our knowledge, there aren't any gay fans of Jay here on this forum, so it would be extremely pointless for us to start one.

Hey guys! I was a little shocked that a few people reacted so strongly to Voladeb's question. I don't think he meant it as 'those gay Jay admirers should leave and get a fanclub themselves' (right Voladeb?) I didn't felt a single hostility towards gay people in his message, but I understand you could see it that way. I hope we can all try to be positive about everyone's messages (I understand it's hard sometimes, because some messages are not that positive themselves or are 'stupid' questions (or already asked) or posted in the wrong forum).

To react to Voladeb's post: there are many male Jay fans around the world, and some of them sure are homosexuals, but I don't think it's necessary to organize a gay fanclub. Gay people are probably as happy with the fanclub already existing as with a all gay fanclub. If there's need for one, I guess those interested in a gay fanclub will organize themselves, and start a fanclub.

i think gays and lesbians...all these people are more or less as normal as we are....just that they have different desires....but come on...theres really no point for making a gay fan club for jay...i mean...if you were in a gay club,will you be proud to walk around?with the 'i'm gay' on you?i mean...i'm not trying to say that these gays and lesbians are shameful people,but there will be people out there will attack them....
but on the real tip,i feel that theres more girl fans than guy fans here...guys who really like jay...i guess what they like is jay's talents and his cool attitude...the girls are mostly the one after his looks....i mean...his good looking right?.... :?

This thread is pretty funny. I never felt that guys who support a male artists meant they are gays. What about girls supporting a female artists? That is too big a generalization. Anyway, Jay got guys fan is because of his talents and maybe the fact that so many girls likes him cos the guys to be interested. And the guys wished to be more popular by copying Jay!? :wink2: (Joking guys, no offence.. Maybe I just meant it a tiny tweeny bit? :brows: )

i think the word for the guy fans is idolism...like the girls when they see a particular female artist that they like, they will try ways to look like her, talk like her, and think like her...simply just trying to be her...same goes to the guys...especially those who are round 14 - 18....they are not sure what they want so they just follow the people whom they think is respectable to them...like jay.

Acting so offended will just cause people to suspect u are even if ur not, so chill pill everyone. Its pretty stupid to think its gay for a guy to support a male artist or girl to support female artist, so im sure she was just kidding here. I think people forget that we are supporting a Singer here, who sings songs. And if you like most of the songs it makes you a fan, and music doesnt state wat sexuality you are, unless you like the Nsync of course =P haha Plus, like the previous post said, Im pretty sure female fans overwhelmingly exceed the guys

oh yeah, and Boybands like Nsync and Back Street Boys were marketed not only to attract prepubescent girls but also homosexual men, its a fact!

I really think that there's nothing wrong with gay liking Jay too. Well, Jay doesn't wants his fans to be only FEMALE, of coz he wants to appeal to the masses, and that includes males, females, and the ones in between. So, nothing wrong with it.. we shouldn't make a big deal out of it. =)

hey, i'm not gay, i just admire jay for being a talented artist plus i think he's a cool guy. i'm also from taiwan so i guess i feel a connection to jay's music. i admire him for how far he has advanced his popularity throughout Asia...only talent could have brought him that far
jay chou also has great pride in his Taiwanese heritage and some of his songs a particularly Taiwanese in flavor.

There have always been gay people on this planet, only just recently they are becoming a 'problem' to the heterosexual protests that are against homosexuals :rolleyes:

I believe that if there was some gay forums or boards that have fans of Jay, then fine, I have nothing against homosexuals, not like they are harming us unmorally or something.
I'm sure if you went on google, you would have a chance of finding a gay forum for Jay if you really wanted to search for it.

Interesting question however, I never thought of a gay forum for Jay fans.

Haha, I'm surprised at the amount of controversy over this posting. I'm gay myself and I love jay's music (and think he's cute too!) :p I'm glad to see that most of you are receptive towards gays. I don't think the original poster meant any harm either, and I was surprised that some of you were offended. Personally, I think it'd be great to have a gay forum or club of some sort for Jay. Sometimes I feel a bit left out being around straight Jay fans...it'd be nice to have some gay company.

cool it! i don't think voladeb means any harm. i didn't interpret his post as an offensive one when i first read it. but it's interesting to realise that guys who like male singers can be gay. i never thought about that before. but i guess in Singapore where i live, gay is not yet that accepted. and most guys like jay because they think he's cool and stuff, and they wanna be LIKE him, not WITH him.
but hey, even if it's the latter, i don't see anything wrong with it! i'm sure girl-fans wanna be with Jay too. (just that we will have more competition! luckily jay likes girls. LOL)
oh yar, one more thing, i don't think being labelled that all guys who like jay are gay is offensive. it's definitely incorrect, but it's not offensive. because i feel that being gay is NOT being crude or weird or anything like that, it's just having a different choice. =)
