So, any suggestions for a new title? This one is tempory unless you guys don't mind this GKU one! Since we finally won some medals at Athens, thought it would be a nice name for awhile hehehe :) But if you guys can decide on something else, I'll change it :winkz:

I just saw this cool STA deal for a weekend trip to Moreton Island for snorkelling, sand boarding, hiking, 4WD, and body surfing & I am so keen. I'd love to organise it with friends & make it a fun trip, but it's hard motivating your friends to go off and do something crazy...let alone all the things you'd need to pack & organise for a fun weekend like that. *sigh*

Phixie and Twilie: Yeah....I'm very busy lately...especially the last term is coming up. Have to study harder for NCEA Level 3 exams. My teachers recommend me to apply for scholarship examination. Plus, I have a Guitar Examination in November. So, yeah...Term 4 is going to be big for me...and tiring too.

Moody Bath: Haha...I know. Usually baths make you relax...melt...forget the day, turn the lights down...put on some Alisha Keys (or other similar relaxing music)... put on the kettle for a hot drink after *bliss*. But I had a bath a few days before and it was truly amazing. Really, it was that good. I think I got moody last night cos it just did not match in quality & effectiveness ...it was just...a bath. I was let down somewhat.

ColaPop: Yup. I take classical guitar classes. That's why there's a grade examination for it. But not many people taking them because, in NZ, classical guitar is not very popular. I notice that most of them are taking more on the orchestral instruments because they are common in an orchestra and chamber music.
And I heard that there's an exam for Rock/Blues/Jazz Guitar, too. They call it 'The Rock School'. Do you play any instrument?

Odium Music was the only subject I stuck with from Form 3-7 (*sniff* gone are the days when 'Form' was used...I'm showing my age :shy: )

There were guys in my class who played classical guitar & they were simply amazing at it. I played piano abit as a kid, then moved onto percussion in the orchestra & symphonic band...and have always sung with choir cos I just love it. You should check out the Musical Instrument (http://jay-chou.net/forums/showthread.php?t=7009) poll if you haven't allready. I want to get stuck in talking music there, but so far...no one's keen.

'The Rock School' comment actually makes me think of "School of Rock" with Jack Black...I still haven't seen that movie though...

Nowdays I am crusin' & bumming mostly while I look for work. I wasn't in a rush, but the boredom & shortage of money isn't cool either...so starting to crank up the action. Going out dancing tonight so hopefully it'll be good. It's this brazillian dance studio owner's 50th (and his son is so so hot~!)...so it should be a pretty big night!! Damn. "sizzling prawn" sounds so good. Oh...haha...and if you can't tell from the Taiwan summary above, I'm obsessed with good food. Muahaha.

Great to hear you had a good time back in Taiwan ( I guess you didn't get to see jay?!! boos..), I've been there once, a few years ago, I was there with my brother for his friend's wedding, stay for a week. I love the night markets and their food, there was this night market just around the corner from where i stayed hehe I dunno why but i really miss the toffe strawberries for some reason, you know, like how you get toffee apples? yea these were strawaberries stuck on a stick covered in toffee, though I could probably just do them myself. And whats up with the scooters, they're everywhere!! hehe and practically getting hit by cars hooning down tight as ally ways. But I had lots of fun there!

ap Hurrah, always nice to have your exams done with!! I had the same problem when I was in Taiwan, sharing sucks big time. I was using his laptop though, so I guess if anything...it should be him complaining :D Oh well. It sounds like you had a huge drinking nite girl! Do you like vodka shots? or was there nothing left to mix it with? Two mixes I recommend: Vodka & redbull/ V & 'muppets' (tequila & soft drink, slammed). Muahahaha.

jay_gf I didn't get to see Jay at all...for the most part of my trip he was in Japan filming, and 3 day before I left, he came back and got started on promotions. I missed the concert he held in Xi Min Ding too, and his panasonic concert...and the up-coming October concert too *sigh* I haven't even heard of toffee-covered strawberries!!! I always have to have Oh-ya-jen "Oyster eggy scramble" and papaya milkshake. What up with the scooters? WHATS UP WITH THE DRIVING IN TAIWAN!!!! Everytime I got in a taxi I felt like my life was on the line.

I'd luv to go back and visit younger people places since that time we were guided by adults and it was more sight seeingish than shopping etc :worry:

cola, twily - I swear they were strawberries! haha how come I'm the only person who've seen and eaten them? I totally agree with the taxi driving in Taiwan, they're way crazy! I was sitting in the passenger seat one time and I was practically diggin my nails into my legs it was so scary, and yea so scary to cross the roads, gotta do a sprint across the road everytime. But the scooters, man they're everywhere, they have separate scooter lanes, and they're all over the footpaths, and you gotta walk on the road to get around them.

You know, I'm terrible at crossing the roads in Taiwan. Not in a: scared-so-i-keep-retreating way, but in a I'm-in-Taiwan-do-as-the-locals. I just look, and if the gap is vaguely big enough...I'll walk cross. And if the vehicles comes close, I smile at them really widely and cross on my merry way. If I was the driver I'd be so shitted off @ me. *lol*

At least I can try this ice-cream when I get back to NZ. not like the stawberry toffee I've never known about. Hmm...I really want strawberries and condensed milk now. *drool*

Well, I'd still "work search mode" as you know. So far, I'm being less persistant than I ought to be. There are so many things I want to buy/enrol in atm too, but that requires money. How come you are only doing one subject this semester? Maybe you could start looking for work experience in business/marketing? It makes a world of difference on your CV.

I just had Italian hot chocolate with my friend tonight. It's the 3rd time I've had it now, and I seriously can't get enough of this stuff. It's like scooping out, and eating melted chocolate...it's so thick..you definitly cannot just drink it. And last time I had it with a tiramisu too....*drool*

twily - Yea I do that sometimes too... :oops: I almost misssed my tut this morning. Its at 10.30 and I got plan to get to uni to park my car by 10 and then take the bus to a different campus where my tut is. I forgot that this morning and by the time I left home it was already after 10, so I had to drive straight to the other campus and park on the street - pay and display $4 per hour :crazy: (it takes me about 1/2 drive to get to uni)

I'm only doing one paper this tri coz its my last paper!! *throws confetti* I'm going to apply for the end of year graduation ceremony..hope they'll allow me!

ap HK and Japan are definitely awesome places to go..and the food of course is great!!! Especially in HK there are heaps of markets during the day and night, gotta love shopping in the markets!! And Japan is uhh can't describe its soooo much fun, and so full of busy people, I went there once when I was in 6th on a school trip :-) . But I'm planning to go work in Japan hopefully next year sometime...been studying japanese for so many years yet my Japanese still sux, only way to improve it is to be there!

cola - Yup Wellington is windy, verrry windy, I guess thats why they call it windy wellington. I've been here everysince I arrived here as a baby! Theres nothing exciting about here, can't say theres much to do lol, uhh theres a vertical bungy in the middle of the city??!! and the night life is not bad, the clubs, pubs, pool houses, cafes and restaurants are plentiful, and shopping is soso.

Drinking games are always fun huh, I haven't played any in agesssss..I can't even remember most of how they go haha somehow I only recall playing half of the actually playing the games thats probably why I don't remember..

Thanks for your warm birthday wishes you guys!! And Twi~ly, I did see your birthday post actually...so hurrah! It's all good. I had a great weekend...Friday night I went out Salsa dancing with some friends...it's this street salsa outside some café’s just on the outskirts of the CBD, and then went to a friend’s house party afterwards & entertained ourselves learning colourful phrases from around the world. Sat was pretty quiet, and decided it was a beautiful day and headed to the beach Sunday morning. I wanted Maccas (<= Aus for McDonalds) hotcakes for breakfast too, but can't have it all I guess. Hung out with best friend and had dinner at a nearby Italian Pizzeria...but hardly drank anything all weekend! I had one of those little liqour shots in the choc bottles but...that was only on a whim, planned it more fun. So I'm hoping to fix that this coming weekend...hahah…it will be so sick. I'm excited!

5) Stalker Newbie: Haha...I actually walked into this one. After ALM, any one has GOT to be better right? He looks really innocent so I'm like "would you like to dance?" him: "Oh, I am only a beginner" me: "thats okey, you've got to be better than the last guyI danced with!" *lol* He was fine...at least he didn't hurt my arms *curses ALM* But after that dance he would keep staring at me, and watch me from across the room. *shiver*

i might have to think about moving to auckland, ppl up there seem a bit more onto it with jay matters then welly !!! :-) . Taiwan is great, its so different to home but it feels like my second home , this my second time living here, i came back to nz but got homesik for taiwan ??? so i came back.
The food here is good, im addicted to dumplings and noodles and lunch boxes with fried chicken. I miss my family and my friends and all the junk food u can get at home !!! I have seen Fish and SHE that was really exciting. come to taiwan i think youll love it here !!

Also today i got my report.... all i can say is.... a huge change since last year... Coz last year i was the second aggregate of the class and this year.... i'm like the mainstream!! Ohh!! Twi~ly! *excitement* Someone's here for me to post with! Hurrah! Glad ur exams are over..I'm sure you'll have nothing to worry about...you're a smart girl! Congrats on being a candidate for bachelorette of the month. I hmmed and hah-ed away at my anwser cos all the girls are really fabulous, and then the polled closed!! So bummed. Oh well....you did very well I noted. Well done!

What are your plans now that ur exams are over? I have been away so long too...job hunting (still), playing (big time), and living it up ( = broke). Hahaha...but at least everyday is busy and always fun. We're going camping next week! I am so excited!!! I have not been camping since I was a wee lass! And we get to do it with sleeping bags, and hopefully a campfire with hot choc and marshmellows! Haha...all this camp talk has got me so excited all of a sudden. There are so many good memories from camp. The funniest being when the girls envaded the boys dorm and doushed the room in girls deoderant, and then later coming back to find a similar situation in our room. no wait, when this annoying girl wouldnt shut up and sleep, was doing hand stands, her nightdress fell about her waist...and the boys were looking into our room. Okey, I have better memories of camp...but for some reason all the weird memories are rushing me first. lol

You're here too!!! :p Won't be cold and lonely in our NZ thread anymore! :) Oh lol...got nominated by my WMZYers :p Its probably only because I started the Bachelor game and they saw it fittin that I was thrown into the Bachelorette. Well it was fun answering the q's tho! It'll be time for me to start up The Bachelor again really soon :) Planned it so that only one game is running at a time.

Yea! Omg I'm sooo relieved that exams are over! Just rather anxious now about marks. Fingers crossed that I passed!

Hahahah your camping memories sound like a lot of fun! I remember some of mine too!! How when we were on a tent out one night, this snail invaded our tent, and we woke up seeing it chew through half a novel that one of the girls had lying in there! Eww :p And when we went to one of our cabins in another trip, we spotted a moth. And being overly girly, we all whipped out our insect sprays and deoderants and sprayed like mad! But no one realised our door was closed!

We ended up rushing for the door and all of us spilling outside on top of each other from the stink and suffocation lol :laughing:

Ahh so many camp memories. I remember I use to really not like camp, because I'd have to be away from home. But eventually I didn't mind and they turned out alright! :)

Aww...Twi~ly. So glad we have some nice company back in this thread, I always enjoying chatting with you. All this camp talk, and sharing stories in good company is so like camp...and yeah...your stories made me think of more good times (and less wacky than the tales b4). Like when Ally and I were camping and we had a 2 person tent to ourselves, and that very first (no wait. 2nd night. The first night the girls next to us wouldn't shut up and sleep which pissed me off.. Which was why I gloated and felt really good the 2nd) night it poured elephants and whales. The girl’s next door has to unpack in the rain and move to the large marque & I slept in blissful contentment. Plus I love when it rains at night. And storms too. It's been rain, hail and stormy weather the last couple of days in Brisbane...it's beautiful now, but that weather made me miss Auckland. lol. and more camp memories of kayaking in beautiful NZ makes me miss it even more.

Oh, and to sidetrack from childhood to adulthood...the same Ally I just mentioned (my friend since i was 13) just called me today to say she got engaged to her BF of 3 years. Aww~ I am so excited for them...still happy even now. And it's scary too...when your friends start to get married and have kids...really splits them from the single-and-lovin-it-girls. lol. which makes me think of Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason which I watched last night and was happy not to be disappointed by cos I had a lot of expectations of it. It was really great! Go see it!

I luv chatting to ya too cola :D You should come back and visit one day girl! I'm really not an outdoorsy person myself, so when I came to live in NZ, having to go to camps every year was such a :glug: experience for me lol. But it really helps to bring you outta your shell I reckon!

Ooo there was this one camp right, I remember we had to go kayaking or something, and I can't swim, and I'd never been in the sea before (not even at the beach! :glug:) So I was all worried and stuff hehehe. Then they told us they had to tip us over so we fall outta our kayaks, my God I nearly jumped outta there and contemplated attempting to make an escape to shore lol. But went through with it, and it was pretty fun~ Til we came out and saw dead jelly fishes everywhere... eeeewww :p

NZ's weather is quite gorgeous now... sunny and warm. Doesn't rain much cept for the occasional sun shower! I love it when it rains at night too... so exciting! :D

That would be so good to go home, see everyone @ the wedding, and get up to general mischief. Plus they ply you with alcohol at weddings. Mmmm. I always find the people encouraging me to drink the most are my dads friends and the older male relatives in my family! Is it Asian culture or am I just surrounded by Alco's?

Actually, I would want to go to a wedding atm, cos i have the perfect dress for it! No shoes, no bags to match (yet)...but the perfect dress. And it would be nice to bring a fun guy along for company. Haha...how fun and pressured would it be to bring a first date to a family wedding. Haha....okey, that will prob just scar the guy (especially when one edges ever closer to the bride at bouquet-throwing time :wink2: )...and you'd never want him to do the same to you right?

Yea I did, but I quit earlier this year for uni. Its my first year and I didn't know what to expect, plus I was getting so worn out with that job even though I loved it. So had to quit... but now with hols again, I'm searching half heartedly :worry: Somehow don't think I can find as good work mates, manager, location etc.

Heheh I don't drink, except just a glass of wine at weddings for the toast. But if there's water or some alternative I'll take that hehe. Arghh I found the perfect dress!! But I couldn't buy it :( It was only $240, but I'm so dead broke now, especially with having to go back *sigh* So I found another one in another store, and it's quite pretty too. Nothing glamourous like the other one, but oh well~ It was $75 lol.. much more in my current jobless budget :p If I were still working I'd have bought the other one in a second.

Hehehe you know, My bf actually came back to meet my whole family a couple years back when I last went back Msia. Him and his family came to attend my Granny's grand 80th birthday. Lol, I'm in no hurry to get married tho... so I'd avoid those bouquet catching things :p

You don't drink? Cos you don't like the taste of it, or cos’ of the loss of control? It seems to be very much aussie culture to drink...but they drink beer and I'm not a fan. I do like cocktails however, and shooters. lol...but only in moderation and in good company. Which incidentally is how I came to lose my car. Took it out to a nearby club when I was running late to meet up with friends and took a cab home after a fun night out. The next morning I'm running late for dance class, open the garage door in a mad dash only to find it empty. Hahaha...good one Pei. But it was all good. I did remember where I left it, the only problem was when I had to unlock the club-lock. It was stuck and the heat was making the metal hard to handle...so I'm twiddling with the lock and every once in a while it pushes against the horn which goes off loudly (of course) and makes it look like I am breaking into my car!

I know what you mean about cash to spend. If only....but the good thing about not having cash too is realising how much money you have wasted on trivial things and how you really don't need the extra clothes you get for no reason other than you love it, and you don't have anything in that style/colour/etc. I have to keep mum's advice in mind...better to spend it on experiences...like a new dance class, or a trip to Frasier island...or even back to NZ! That would be awesome. Oh yeah, and spending money for when I visit home! So I can shop at Glassons!!! Hahaha

I don't drink coz.. well I don't know why really lol. Probably a bit of everything. I don't like the idea of getting plastered, throwing up, losing control, etc. I haven't drunk much before either so wouldn't know much of the tastes! Ditto for not smoking, or doing drugs etc. Just a personal choice really :)

My fav. are art and graphics becasue there is no right or wrong and like music there are no boundries esp. in art and it's a way you can express yourself! I love relaxing and just chatting with friends! My other favourite asian artist are leehom (whom I adore) and jay, and some others like A-mei, S.H.E and jolin.

I'm nearly back. LoL the most exciting thing happened to me on thursday...I woke up at 9.30 and then went out to the couch and sat there trying to wake up properly. I thought to myself, ah better study for the physics exam in the afternoon. And then I went back to my room to turn on my mobile and I went pass my exam timetable which stuck to the wall. I scanned and saw Physics and at the very side it sed "report time 9.10 am". I was like OMFG NOOOOOO EXAM ALREADY STARTED !!! and like pulled off everything superman styles and got into my uniform and then gapped it to school. Lucky I was only 10 minutes late...Haha...pissed on the way too..hope no one saw me. :oops:
I've done 5 exams and still got 3 left :cry: and they're the hardest ones too...economics, maths and human bio (T-T) and lets hope I get the exam time right for these exams...
OOH and the answer to that lil~jo, is hell yeahit sucks...you can still get not achieved even though you got all the merit and excellence questions corrrect... whats up with that ??

MeMeMe... you wanted to know about shopping malls in auckland was it? Ai, well it's NZ. So shopping isn't great, and everywhere is the same. But you gotta visit the normal places I guess, like Botany Towns Centre. That's really near where I live. Then there's St Lukes shopping mall, those are the 2 biggest ones here. Then of course you gotta visit the city - Queen Street (main shopping/asian stuff around everywhere too) and High Street which is off Queen street if you love up market very expensive stuff. There's some cool stuff in Little High Street too which you can get to by going to the 2nd floor of Whitcoulls on Queen Street. *takes a deep breath* Then there's New Market. 277 (Name of the mall - pronounced as two double seven), Rialto... that's all in New Market. They've got the widest variety of shops there.

Then you've got the little malls like Pakuranga Plaza, Manukau Shopping Mall (which is bigger than Pakuranga's) and then everything else is probably not worth your time! So check those out if you're into shopping :-)

We really have a park called one tree hill!) and baa with the sheep? Take a ride on the catermarans to visit Waiheke island and have a picnic under the pohutakawa tree (NZ xmas tree)? How about to Rotorua and see the mud pools and smell the delightful odour of pong (sulphur)? :sick: Visit the South island and take in the gorgeous view by hot air balloon as shown in the backdrop of LOTR?

Who wouldn't want to visit here?

i haven't been able to get access to the internet cos my sister's computer is infected with a virus and at work....not really supposed to go on the internet and surf jc net!

jay had concerts 7 days in a row from 9th november to 15th november.
i watched the last one on the 15th and I was seated near the front, the 6th row.
it was a 4-side stage but I must say I reckon the front side was soooooooo much better. Jay was dancing facing that side and just most of them time he was facing the front. altho there was a report saying he only shook hands with the people on the other side of the stage, but those people always had to look at jay's back :tongue:

needless to say the concert was AWESOME! the atmosphere was reali reali good and I was high from the beginning to the end!!!!! it's quite funny seeing some men still in there suit from work and dancing hehehehehe

the only guests were NQMM, they sang quite a lot of songs. and you know track 1 of the NQMM album...? there's this english chorus bit and Jay appeared from the middle of the stage and sang!!!!! it was my FIRST time hearing JAY SING ENGLISH LIVE!!!!!

i loved the part when he was wearing a purple coat, playing on his pale pink piano, and singing his classic love songs...and then the part when he jumped on to the top of the piano.....MUAHAHAHHAHA DAT WAS SEXI!!!!! HAHAHAHHAHA!

What scholarhip subject do you do? I'm doing Calculus, Physics and Chemistry. And yes, I do agree that those three exam are crazily freaking hard. And the scholarship exam room was filled with a sound of sighs and gasps...lol...
But of course, It's manageable for some extent, but not the Outstanding Performance questions...

And sadly, I still have one more exam to go....Music. It's quite easy but still....There's a pressure of exams. Hope I can concentrate well.

i live in auckland as well....so how do u find it here? the weather is much cooler than in s'pore aye? i used to study in s'pore as well during secondary school...stayed there for 4 years....

Odium i did 3 schol subjects as well....calculus, chem and bio...calculus was sooo hard...chem was moderately hard...but bio was much easier than those 2....we get 3 hours to write 3 essays....compared to the ncea level 3 bio...we only get 3 hours to write 30 over essays questions...i din even have the time to think or even read the introductions....juz kept on rushing thru the answers....

audrey i'm sure i'll have fun here...coz i'll be goin to jay's concert on the 29th Jan!!!i'm so excited now!!!

I still can't decide where exactly I want to go or what I want to be...but I know that BSc is a flexible degree; so I still can find a common ground, opening door of opportunities while searching for my real interest.

infusia: Do you really think that way? I think that Christchurch is a small city that is not so complex...I'm sure Auckland is more comples than here. But I know that the public transport in Christchurch is the best in NZ. =)

About my plans of the holiday, my family and I will be going to Bleinheim for our Christmas holiday. I have my aunty's sister living there with her husband. And her parents (my side-granpa -- I don't know what term to use) is coming to NZ. So, we are planning to meet them and have a good Christmas holiday up there. :-)

I didn't think that you forgot that I live in Christchurch. I thought you were advertising Auckland University with the possibility of meeting with you guys there. But I know that Auckland University is one of the best university in NZ; with a higher requirement and University Entrance results that the others. Some of my friends are moving there.

But now, I'm thinking of University of Canterbury, less hasle cause is just some 15 minutes walking away from home. And it's a great uni too. :happy:

Odium Christchurch is really completely flat and nearly all the buildings look sooo the same~. Just really didn't get much chance to explore that place anyway so my judgment is on a first time visit basis ^_^

I don't know about seeing any CD store that sells Chinese CDs in NZ. As far as I know, there's none in Christchurch. But in Auckland, there might be few of them...(I think I have read once of the posts here in the thread that there's a Jay CD but it cost about NZ$60!!!) :wacko:

odium, 15 mins walk to uni?? Omg you're so lucky! Takes me an hour to go to uni by bus everyday, and trust me it's such a drag with those 8am classes. Gotta be up by 6am to catch a 6.30 bus to be there on time! Plus bussing is way cheaper and convinient to get to uni from Howick so it's the only way :(

infusia, yea.. Auckland has a large asian population. You should really visit Howick though. It's like Asian central!

Yea, audrey's right. The biggest Asian cd and possibly the only one -.- is called "Fasoyo". There's a few of them around. The midcity one as audrey mentioned, that's on Queen St. inside Midcity, go to the second floor and it's on the left. There's one in howick here too, and another one in New Market somewhere. I'm sure there's a few more but I can't think of where right now.

The CDs (Jay ones at least) are actually $45 ~ bucks upwards! Quite a rip off to be honest!

So i've got some good news for myself..and those who are interested :D !i'm not promoting or whatever but i'm sorta like gonna get it sent over from my good friend in Singapore on the day of release. and i'm sure its much cheaper than that amount of $39 cos in Singapore the cd prices are like $21-25SG which is $17-21NZ. then the delivery will cost maybe like $5SG?(not really sure yet) and it'll reach within a few days too..
Well at least i trust my friend to get it for me on time and deliver to me on time. :tongue:

Me going back to Msia next month. I've got my 2 gorgeous dresses equiped with shoes and jewelry all ready for the wedding I'm suppose to attend. Even got my boardies + bikinis + shades + sandals all ready too! Going to go Penang, hope it'll be gorgeous. Have you guys ever been there before?

then theres the city centre where the cathedral is....thats nice....
There is the gondola......*mount cavendish*.....you go up on the gondola....and you get a magnificent scenary.

Our seaside is nice.........
But christchurch...doesnt have too much to see....we're plainly known as the garden city....so if you just go down streets....you'll see our beauty.

Yeah the markers are so stupid, I think they took a few excellences from me because I used a graphics calculator, so I didnt do any working :oops: I just wrote down the calculator model. :whistle: Only got about 5 excellents in lv 1 so..errr not too happy. Nearly failed my physics too...guess thats what you get when you wake up late for the exam. :cry:

If you dont have their sort of idea, they mark you down.

my sciences, *bio chem and physics* I dont mind their marking.

Ah~~~ Mine was quite good. But not as good as my expectation would be. There are couple of excellences here and there, but not as many as I would thought to be. I feel I was somehow unprepared that time; too nervous, and put too much stress on myself...not clear minded and calm. :worry:

I don't know what my school teachers gonna respond to this...They put high expectation on me as I put high expectation on myself. Oh man, I usually do everything well and meet my expectation. The teachers might give me a shocked face when they face me. I guess I was so stressed up that time with everyone's expectations....I'll forget the negative thing and I'll learn from this year's mistake and I will do better in Uni. :happy:

And yes, there's something different with the way they are marking them, I can feel it. It's different from last year. I guess I gonna have to check the returned papers. :hmm:

Ooo hey sorry guys! Yep I'm back now! :D

I got back on Monday and was so super jetlagged that I slept at 6am on Tues, and woke up at 6pm to celebrate CNY eve with family friends. And then on wed I had to force myself up early to go out with mates. But slept at 5am on thurs morning, and woke up at 4.30pm the same day.

Only today have I been getting slightly better! Lol.. waking up at 12ish. It's so crazy though. I'm like losing days without realising it! :)

Still trying to get back into routine... quite lucky I'm still in holidays so its alright.

Yes lil~jo I am almost a true kiwi too. My parents are also from malaysia and I was born/bred in New Zealand. But don't you Jay fans in this thread think that New Zealand is boring ? Wouldn't you wanna go to Australia or US or back to the Asian countries because of the boringness of NZ ? I mean I don't have any experience of being in Malaysia when I was over 12 years of age coz I've only been there once which was when I was 8 but if you were old enuff you could go out shopping at night on streets coz they were opened. But here, The shops are closed late at night.

yea...its really really crowded....esp at the quad...i'm taking management this semester...so guess i can get some help from u?? lol...my lecturer is joe beer....is he good?? my timetable's so crappy...there's like 3 hours break in a row for 2 days and a 2 hour break....i like explored the whole engineering block and others the whole time juz to waste my time...lol....but it shud be good to have time to study and sort of when there's tests or exams comin up....the books r all so expensive!! luckily i dun really need textbooks for engineering....so tiring these days...juz start sch and have to wake up so early....it juz takes too long to reach the city....but i usually spend my time sleeping on the bus...lol...

I went to the latern festival like last week on saturday I think. It was packed with so much people so it wasn't that kol. My brother an I only bought one think and it was a flower thing that lit up. We were there for like only half an hour. Coz it was at albert park, we walked over to the Aotea place to see a concert or something but by the time we got there it was over. On the way out there was like fireworks that was pretty kol coz it was coming out of the top of a really high building. On the way out, we saw this really freaky man that was putting on a show. He was like covered in cement or somefin and he was acting like a robot.

I live there so I should know but I know there's a place in the city/town of Auckland that has a mall call Mid City and yea a lot of shops there which asians run n yea. The asian population is very big here in West Auckland. Ever heard of the saying "Bloody Asian Drivers!" ? Well here in Auckland it is true. Bloody Asian Drivers can't drive properly. No offense though. I think only china people are Bloody Chinese drivers. I haven't seen many Malaysians or Singaporeans, Taiwan, Thailand people driving like the china people. So once again, No offense china people.

Yea Howick is an asian zone. There is this bread shop there run by asians and they have professional chinese bread chefs that make these types of bread that have like flavour. There's like only two stores of bread like that in New Zealand. They're both in Auckland in Howick. If anyone is over in that area, soo if you can check it out. But I know my post doesn't describe where the store is alot but Howick ain't that big n yea.

On to a different subject...

twilight~ well...ping khai was actually my brother's hostel mate when they were studying in s'pore...lol....and he's studying engineering which i'm also in...so smtimes bumped into him in the eng block...MM1 is mathematical modelling 1....the lecturer is so boring and there's always so many assignments....lol...my earliest class is at 9am...so got to wake up at 6.30am....which is still very early for me....i will never choose an 8am class....haha....my bro's so lucky....most of his classes r in the noon....
i live quite near botany town centre....10-15mins walk away....where's tralee btw?? i'm not good at places...lol...the world is juz so small....

yesterday was a disaster for me....hmm...actually its still alright...juz a messed up day....yest i went to uni to finish up my assignments with my fren...so i stayed till 11pm plus...planning to take the 11.25 bus home....at first i tot tt there's no bus 68 tt day...coz it's supposed to be a public holiday right?? but my fren's fren told her tt its normal time....so we waited at the busstop from 11pm till 11.50pm....thinking tt the bus might come...then ...there's a black guy came to us talking to his phone...he looks normal at tt time....but when he sat down....i realised tt his hand kept shaking....he started asking me qns abt wat bus i'm taking and sorta stuff....so i answered back not to be rude....my fren started to whisper to me tt he was playing with his "thing"...u noe wat....and tt was total disgusting....tt was y his hand was shaking non stop....luckily i din see anything...and i did NOT wanna see anything....and thank god he was black...so tt wasnt obvious...lol....tt was so scary....coz it was so late at night and the bus was not comin....we started phoning our frens to see who r kind enough to send us back to howick....well...no one did.... :-x but in the end my fren called up her bro's girlfren who lives in north shore...and he hesistatently agreed....phew....and of course we stayed at her house for the night....at least we din stayed overnight in the engineeering block as we planned to... :D

ok...i'm bein crappy there....srry...lol....well...tt's the one and only "interesting" happened durin this easter break... :-)

My easter weekend was so boring. My mum's friend's just came 2 our house to play mah jong (A chinese game block game) and sometimes we went to their houses. It was so exciting for them but oh so boring for me and my brother!! Thats pretty much all I did except staying home and trying to go on jay-chou.net but apparently it was closed at the time i wanted to go on :-x I was so upset :cry: I had one easter bunny chocolate to eat but I'm not a big choccy fan anyways...

Most of my Easter weekend was spent on staying at home and going to church. And since I have my university term break, what I do is to finish my assignments and revising every bits of my courses because by the first few weeks of the second term, it's already test time! Oh man... I left my essay worth 20% until reaaally last minute yesterday! I ended up not sleeping for 30 hours straight :wacko: Talk about procrastination! I had to catch the 10am bus otherwise I'd miss my class which I had to hand in the assignment, and I finished everything at 9.30am!

Lesson: Do NOT leave assignments worth that much til that late lol :D (Even though I tend to do it quite often, it's a bad habbit! :oops: )

liljo: I think it's better for you to do Year 13 because as a University Entrance requirements, you need at least 52 credits (14 in one Lv3 subject, another 14 in one Lv3 subject, and another 14 in 2 combined Lv3 subjects). And universities are very particular about your Lv3 (or Lv4 - scholarship) marks more than anything else. They also use your Lv3 marks as a guideline in accepting students during enrollments. So, I afraid you can't skip Year 13.

You can do something this though: You do Yr13 subjects in Year 12. Then, you can "skip" Year 13 because you do entirely Year 13 in Year 12. So, what I mean is that you skip the Year 12 and jump to Year 13, instead of you skipping the Year 13 and do the Year 12.
Think Year 13 as an end-point of your journey in highschool. You need Year 13 more than anything else, cause the marks that you got in Year 13 determines what you do as overall in highschool. :happy:
