OUR QUESTIONS LIST FOR JAY CHOU (Participate)

One of you commented in one of the pic gallery post that Jay looks bored because the press keep on asking similar questions over and over again. Me too sometimes get bored reading the interviews. Today's news : Jay himself got angry during the Jacky Wu programms taping when the press again ask the stupid gossip questions.again for the thousand times.

Reading the post in Jay Chou Discussions, there’s a lot of things that we fans are curious about but only Jay’s answer could quench it. . So lets list (new )questions for Jay. Maybe the lucky ones could question him directly (ehm Mike ??) , maybe through the chat sessions, maybe some press ppl will read this post, maybe Jay himself answer this, who knows ?!.

Let me start :.

Music :
1. Is there a plan to do a remix of your songs in the near future ?? or instrumental versions with some instruments played by yourself ?
2. We’ve seen you duets with David Tao in The One concert Taiwan. Would you consider another duets or sing with a group in your future albums – if so - with whom ?
3. You will participate in this World Peace Concert in Bali, what songs will you sing. Do you plan to create new song talking about peace ?
4. Lately you’ve been active in social works for children and youths. Which of your songs do you think “speaks” to the youths ??
5. Since you’ve become quite an international artist, have you ever been appeared in “unplugged music sessions” like Harlem’s Café in Dong Feng ? Actually we fans had tried to gather petition so you could appear in MTV Unplugged like Ken Hirai, this Japanese R&B artist, what do you think ?
6. We’re curious which one of these MV of yours was shot in the real place : Istambul, Shanghai ?
7. Which of your MV is your personal favorite ? why ?
8. Do you design or direct your Album cover look ?
9. We’ve read the name of Michael Hammar as musical director in all your 3 albums, what’s his part in your album creation (since you compose, sing and produce it yourself )

i think that Istanbul MV was so obvious shot in a studio, I guess the background of the city was just wallpaper. Shanghai 1943 MV seems like shot in real place :)

1) Why do you sing out your own name in your songs ?
(Perfectionism and ... I forgot the other one , a fast track from the Fantasy album).


2) You used to write songs for others before you yourself became a singer. How do you choose what songs to keep for your own albums and which to contribute to other artistes now ?

3) What were you thinking when you took the shirt off on stage ?? Was it bcos you were too hot and the shirt bothered you or did you do it as a publicity stunt ??

:) ashley, i can answer one of your questions for jay...He took off his shirt in the Shi jie mo ri preformance, because the wires and things were making him really uncomfortable, he wasn't planning on taking it off at first, but later i guess they told him to just take it off, that's why you see the bunch of people helping him after he took off the jacket, he explained that afterwards i believe. and as for the other fast song, i think you're referring to "dui bu qi" where his english name is echoed....

hmm.. i will like to ask him what he thinks are the constraints iand potential n the chinese music scene now.. about whether there will be room for growth and improvement. Cos a lot of people have criticise that the chinese music scene is getting bad and i would lile to noe Jay's views on this. =))

think he is one of the best people to ask such a question since he noes music best!!!

Jay wouldn't answer this question in public:

Seeing that he often performs songs composed by him but sung by other artists (often songs written before he was so popular) (egs. You are happier than before, end of the world, why can't you speak clearly) is he ever reluctant or regretful when it comes to composing for someone else???

Maybe reluctant because he loves the song so much himself; maybe regretful if he finds out during the recording process that he could sing it better.

I've been listening to the song he composed by Andy Lau a lot lately, and I can't help thinking that Andy doesn't sing it as well as Jay would. But the song is SO BEAUTIFUL, especially those emotional high notes!!

Which songs do you guys wish Jay had sung instead?

I wished Jay sung Bao Yi Bao by Jordan...when i first heard it the first thing that came to my mind was that Jay could do better....but after a few more listens it was actually really good so...but I dunno. Maybe im just biased b/c I like Jay so much. >_<
