How sensitive is Jay? Does he cry easily?

Hah, just a little curious about Jay's sensitiveness. I mean, I could have sworn I thought he broke some tears when he sang Ai Zai Xi Yuan Jian in The One Concert VCD. But later on, I predict that he was wiping off his sweat (around the eye area), but ... still he looked sort of sobbing. And considering all the lyrics he'd written (An Jing, Hei Se You Mo, Fen Lie, Ban Dao Tie He, Shi Jie Mo Ri), It's so amazing to realize, all the songs were tearbreakers. In real life, does he breaks down to tears easily?

Mm....considering his shyness n silence, he must b quite sensitive...but i doubt he will let anyone see him cries...i believe dat jay will put all of his mind into his works to cover his unhappiness...

I think it's a pretty difficult question to answer since we all do not know him personally. But I would say that Jay is a Zui Ying Zin Ruan (tough talking but soft on the inside)kind of person. I remember watching a Super Sunday clip where Hei Ren and Ah Ya delivered some food which his mother prepared for him. Then Hei Ren asked him if he was touched and wanted to cry, Jay quickly replied,' Cry? Why should I cry?" But clearly, he was touched by what his mother did.

I think he won't cry in public cos like most traditional Asian guys, he goes by the motto that 'real men don't cry' but I do think he's a pretty sensitive guy, judging by the way he writes his lyrics and songs.

n i also think his the kinda guy that wont cry in front of everyone..actually..basically not cry at all...
but if his sad..he would be silent...n he'd like lock himself in the room..with piano..where he composes his music...n jus start composing something..

me too!!! i saw the sweat or tear during his concert. At 1st i thought he is crying, when see close close then found out actually is his sweat....scare me sia....but personally i think Jay will not cry easily one lor...he will not show out to the others if he really wanted to cry...maybe he will hide in one corner...

I've always wondered this question too but Jay seem like a sensitive guy. Seeing how he's so loyal to his family and friends and all the sweet things he does for them, I judge that he's a sensitive guy. But of course, Jay wouldn't want people to know that!

i think everyone has a sensitive side, jay might be one too knowing that he loves everyone that's close to him(his family and friends) ... but i dont think he'll be a guy that'll cry easily...i duno tho, just by looking at his face(expressions) i dont think so..

Yeah, after watching the clip back and forth, I figured it was probably sweat. Just like dazzlete said, "real men don't cry" and Jay is probably like oh I don't know? EVERY freaking guy out there *alright maybe 9/10* who believes in this idea.....

And I can't blame Jay that even if he's sensitive (which he'll cry of course) that he wont cry easily in public cause his little buddies will probably punch him or make fun of him till his dying days (kind of like the boy's locker room ~_^) And besides, he's famous now.... one single teardrop and headlines will go crazy and reporters will stalk him for 5 months over that single teardrop!

i've known so many types of people, and there are those who are strong putting their emotions into singing, yet...they don't show the crying type. infact, they are the strong type that aren't easily moved... ;-/

i think jay gives me the impression that he's very emotional... when singing or composing, that is. i can tell that he really puts in his whole heart and soul in music and express his emotions really well... (feel like crying along with him when he sings sad songs) but whether he's a sensitive guy or not, i can't tell... but since he can write such sad lyrics, i guess he must be sensitive to some extent? (if not he can't be a lyricist...) ^^

but i'm trying to imagine jay locking himself up in his room and composing songs on his piano, tears rolling down his face... hmmmm~ :D

why would jay cry, LoL his songs r meaningful, but he writes them not jus for the fans but for himself, so when he listens 2 it, instead of making him cry, it makes him happy because of how much the fans r touch by the songs and makes them cry... only time somebody will cry is when they actually go through dat situation currently

Maybe Jay doesn't necessarily cry because he is a "macho" kind of guy. I think it's unfair to categorize him that way when he has broken the chains of convention with a lot of his music. I suspect he won't let himself cry more because he does not want to gather too much attention from the media. Whether it's positive or negative comments, a celebrity crying in the middle of a concert would gather a lot of attention, especially if the artist is male.

It's not fair that guys have to deal with that kind of media pressure to be tough and so on. It's not just the girls that get picked on. :glug:

Oh and just another thing I thought of; you guys were saying Jay was sensitive because he's into his music when he sings it right? Although he's wearing his heart on his sleeve, it's really hard for a person to do that. You know, sing a song about the way you feel about life, or social issues, etc. So I think Jay's actually much braver than he appears. Especially if he's shy, he has to be very courageous to get up on stage and sing his heart out for people. More or a sign of strength than sensitivity.

i haven't seen that vcd yet, but i doubt that he was crying. it usually does get pretty hot up on stage with all the lights and everything, so he probably was just sweating. about the jay sensitivity issue, since i do not know him personally i cannot say this 100%, but based of what i know about him through his songs and other stuff, i do agree with lvso on that he's strong to be able to sing and write what he really feels. his shyness attributes to his down to earth personality that shines through.

yeah, i remember it too..and i remember Jay said that he doesn't cry easily.
I also remember that Jay was highly mad when someone at the recording studio broke his antique lamp, and Jay didn't want to talk to him for a while, so i think Jay is pretty sensitive.

based from the news about jay, he's the type of guy who always wants to look cool in front of everyone. but from his music, esp his ballad ones, he's a pretty sensitive guy. so i think that if he cries, he wont let anyone see it.

I don't think Capricorns will cry easily. I have not seen a capricorn cry for so long! I think they only cry in their early years.

Even they do cry, its nothing wrong. Everyone has the right to express their feelings. And it does not affect anyone badly at all.

I think Jay's the kind of person who's sensitive and easily touched on the inside...but then he wont let people see through him. In front of people, he would put on a cool indifferent act and acts like its no big deal while actually he's deeply touched on the inside. Maybe he feels that letting people see through the real soft side of him would make him lose face, so he acts tough.
It's just what I think by the way....so its not necessarily true :)

You'll be surprised, alot of guys who write sensitive lyrics. Or say things that sound sensitive, may in fact not be all that sensitive. He dosen't seem like the type to be a soft guy. I don't know, it just dosen't seem that way to me. I think he seems as if he can be rather tough.
