i am a bollywood fan too and honestly,i just wish aishwarya rai won't put heavy make up.....it makes her look like a witch.. there was once i saw her interview and god bless her.....her face was covered with, what it seems, layers and layers of powder and on top of that reddish lipstick......but she really has an natural beauty.....i just wish she would show them more often......anyway, my fave bollywood actress is karishma kapoor......very versatile woman......

ASHWARYA RAI AND BRAD PITT TO MAKE A MOVIE 2GETHER BASED ON THE BUDDHA
Anand Mohan Sahay in Patna | November 21, 2004 13:11 IST
Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai and Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt are slated to act in a film on Lord Buddha's life. Shekhar Kapur will direct the movie.
Mahabodhi Society of India President Bhupendra Kumar Modi told rediff.com that Ash and Pitt had shown interest in the Buddha project.
Motivational guru Dr Deepak Chopra will write the script.
Modi said Ash will play a "powerful role" in the film whose theme would be the Buddha's teachings.
The industrialist said the film will be produce by MCorp Global with financial support from other bodies. Hollywood actor Richard Gere, a Buddhist, is also interested in producing the film, which will cost Rs 50 *crore* (means million in hindi) to make.
Modi said the movie will be made in English and dubbed in several languages. Pre-production work has begun, with Shekhar Kapur working on it for the last two months.
Shooting will commence next year. The film is likely to be released in early 2006.

In an interview to US channel' Fox News, director of Rush Hour said that he was keen to cast a Bollywood actress in a sequel to Rush Hour 3 opposite Chris Tucker. When the host showed him Aishwarya Rai's picture he instantly said, "That's the one! If she happens to be in Los Angeles you must ask her to get in touch with me. I would like to cast her as a leading lady in my film," he said. Meanwhile Ash's agent Simone Sheffield said that they had not yet received the script of the film. "Ash will see her role. It is only after she has read the script that she will say yes to the film," she said. Ash is just back from Siachen where she was to meet the Indian jawans. "It was a learning experience. I felt on top of the world," she said.

I think she's gorgeous. Her green eyes are so captivating. I've noticed a lot of Indian actors/actresses have light colored eyes. They look so cool! I wish that asians could have that gene variation. I want green/blue eyes! I hear she is very intelligent as well. Wow...so jealous.

i was watching oprah the last time + aishwarya rai was on. it was sorta like a "things you didnt know" episode. apparently the bollywood business is much bigger than hollywood (almost two times if i remember correctly) and therefore since aishwarya is the top earning actress in bollywood it makes her the top actress in the world. i didnt even know that i bet most of you dont know that too hey? :glug: shes also freaking hot Her facial features... damn~ theres no words to describe o.O no wonder she was miss world (or wateva)
Yeah I agree she’s simply stunning although I have to be honest I’m not really into Bollywood flicks… I find myself bursting into tears right about the time they start bursting into song…
You know I think I saw her on Oprah also, I think that although the Bollywood industry is much larger than Hollywood (in terms of how many flicks they churn out per year – ‘quality guys not quantity’, ek!) but the money that they actually splash around in la la land is ridiculously higher than in Bollywood.
PS Gosh, just read that back, hope it made sense!:shy:

I'm not an Indian flicks fans but in Indonesia, Indian films are quite popular and she's quite known. Just saw that very Oprah show today and Ais was great there, tactful and no diva personality as such.

i think she's *really* pretty. ^-^ she was in the bollywood's movie called "devas." i think that's how you spell it, but i'm not sure. >_< that movie is one of my fav. movies. i liked it so much that i was thinking of buying the DVD, but i didn't. hehe^^;;;; i even wanted to read the book that was based on the movie (i *think* it was based on a book haha^^;;;;;), but it was written in a foreign lang. Y_Y the movie's soooooo sad though.

i've only seen bride and prejudice... you could really see her presence and charisma on screen. i don't know if i just didn't like the movie, but acting-wise, she's just ok. she's probably acted better in other films.
star, i know what you mean. i haven't developed any appreciation for indian songs. the music's fine, but the singing..

I've heard her name for years but have yet to see any of her films. I did see Bunty Aur Bubli where she did a special appearance along side her then future husband and father in law and I LOVE IT!!! The dance she did was so well choregraphed and energetic, I seriously wanted to take Bollywood dance lessons or something cuz it looks like so much fun! It's on youtube here:

^ I agree!! The thing about bollywood dances is that the dancers are *never* skinny to the bones or extremely fit.. They all had the -right- amount of fats around the tummy and some good *boobs*
Give us plump people some HOPE!!! We can dance too!! haha
And their dances are always... sexy & suggestive without being over the top trashy.
Oh and did I mention that their dances always seem to have dancers coming from nowhere???

From the movie Devdas, the dancing is sooo good! So much energy and coordination. I love their sari's and the jewelry. Totally awesome.
