Peninsula here ! hah. I think that there will be more Chinese people up here in the North soon. Most of the cities around me are getting very umm....asianized I guess you could say.

bay view/hunter's point! yup sf is the best. i wish jay would hold a concert somewhere up here too. i would definitely go and pull my friends to go too.
are any of you guys in high school? what school do you go to?

ME too! im a sophomore too! i go to lowell. have you ever heard of it? my chinese teacher says its famous but like my friend's friend in oakland never heard of it.

i went to a baptist elementary and middle school. i always though i was religious, but just recently realized i was more a routine christian than a true one. does that make sense? like i do it because im so use to it. it makes me wonder if i was ever a true believer.

why do you go to catholic school if you dont believe? i thought they only accept catholics? cuz i think thats how it is in some of the catholic schools in sf.

EDIT: i was hoping the sf thread wouldn't die. post here!!!

Lowell baby! I am so outta there...in June, at least...Lowell is really hard...we also have a lot of teachers that can't teach...

BUT ANYWAY...yay! more Jay Chou fans from Lowell!!!

I totally think Jay should come up to the Bay Area for a concert...anywhere within an hour's drive from SF...it's cleaner, prettier, and more fun. so what if we don't have Disneyland...Spssh spssh.

jay_is_cute
12-20-2004, 08:31 AM
yah! we should so have a jay fan club at lowell haha. but im so disappointed. in chinese class, the "teacher asked who likes jay chou?" and the whole class was like "ewwww.." gah i should've punched all of them. :-x

i really really wish jay would hold a concert near sf. im so jealous of all those people who are close to jay's concert places. im dying to go.

taiwanguonanhai
12-22-2004, 08:38 AM
Lowell. I think I applied to go there and got turned down heh  .....It's ok tho, I'm happy with public school.

I bet one day Jay will come here instead of LA. Our Chinese pop. should surpass LA's one day. But if not, LA is just a quick flight away anyways.

jay_is_cute
12-23-2004, 09:58 AM
lowell is a public school! maybe you're thinking of the wrong school?

what place in sf would be big enough for jay to hold a concert? but i want jay to come to sf. if i bump into him, i can show him around. i dont know my way around LA. he can stay at my house too. i'll even paint it hot pink with flower designs just for him. :D

taiwanguonanhai
12-24-2004, 09:15 AM
hmmm.....I guess I am thinking of Lick. I'm not sure, I could have sworn that Lowell was a private school heh. But I know I applied to Lick and got rejected so yea that's probably what I'm thinking of. Long time ago....

I think there are many places in the Bay Area that Jay could perform. Isn't like Moffett Field(SP?) and I'm sure there are other locations. Where does Wild 94.9 hold their Bomb Concerts and stuff? I think we need to get more Taiwanese people up here before we can have a Jay concert tho. LA has a ton of Taiwanese, which is prolly why Jay performed there instead of here.

jay_is_cute
12-25-2004, 09:45 AM
i dont necessarily agree with the taiwanese theory. im not taiwanese but i still love jay. alot of my canto friends do too! its just like him performing at hk. there are not alot of taiwanese people there (i think), right?

i'm actually not too familiar with concert halls in the bay area. after all i've never been to one. im hoping jay will be my first!

another S.F. girl over here <~~~ although it is foggy here....all of the time..i would not want to live anywhere else.....unless of course its Taiwan and next to where Jay lives... haha...

lol, Lowell is hecka famousl :D .lol just in the bayarea i guess. just know it by watchin the cantonese news at eight.lol plus in the ElleGirl Magazine, there's a thing about girls being freshmen at their school, and one of the girl is in Lowell i like the part when they say " her sittin in a class with the majority of asians and her only being the only white girl" :shifty: my cousin goes to lowell, his name is eric,he's a junior not that any of y'all care :shifty: .lol. , geez, gotta pass a test to get in, that's hard isnt it.lol.

though im not in s.f. anywaymore since i was four.lol. but i stil got my frisco pride. is it me or do people not from s.f. call s.f. "frisco"? :glug:

jay_is_cute
01-15-2005, 11:18 AM
oh yah that thing about the ellegirl magazine was in our newspaper. it would be so freaky to have reporters following me around every month and digging into my private life.

hey i know an eric thats a junior! or i know of him. but then again their are alot of erics that are juniors.

so where do you live zhy378? well to my knowledge, only people who try to be cool call it frisco. :shifty: wahaha.

 I think one time I walked into my reg (aka homeroom) and my teacher was just putting this Jay Chou dvd away...I think it was Chinese 3/4, for 2nd year peoples. I was so jealous!! :-X I wanted to see the Jay Chou dvd

Jay could perform at the Concord Pavilion or something...that's pretty close by...I think... Well a lot of Jay fans can cram in anyway, and there are a few big auditoriums in Oakland somewhere...I remember volunteering there for a bunch of Annual concerts for Asian artists with a bunch of Skyline kids. I wish I was into asian music then :depresse: cuz I know a few popular artists were there

jay_is_cute

haha, fad3d_dr3ams, this thread always dies! ya i know where san mateo is, my cousin goes to school there. :-) hey when i first saw your banner, i thought it was some korean guy, because i've never seen jay in a pose like that, but lots of korean boy bands or whatnot always have poses like that. if you get what i mean, haha.

zhy378, i knew you were mocking them, and so was i. haha i hope you didn't think i was mocking you. :D i know that wells fargo thing your talking about. pass by it almost every week. :bleh:

so, what shall we talk about to keep this thread alive and hot? :hmm:

fad3d_dr3amz

kmak
03-11-2005, 02:27 PM

03-12-2005, 05:51 AM
hey there kmak, a new poster in the SF thread! yay! you go to UC Davis? my brother goes there too! are you a freshman or sophomore?

well, i dont know where frisco originated from, but you know those middle school poser kids who love to be cool...
i think singers in songs sometimes refer to SF as frisco too, but not too sure.

spork
03-23-2005, 05:54 AM
Oooo...I should really check this thread more often. It's growing!! :D Slowly but surely...

My current reg teacher is Mrs. Chang, she has a couple dvds and/or cds of Jay Chou. Most of her students really liked him. So if you're lookin' for a cool Chinese class to be in jay_is_cute definitely hunt down Ms. Chang :yeah: She feeds you too. Which chinese teacher do you currently have?

I used to do those concert volunteer-thingies in middle school, but I don't think my aunt works for that organization anymore, so I dunno how to get involved in those concerts anymore. Darn!

(anyone know how to get there? :hmm: )

spork

There were these tourists who wanted to find the neighborhood too, but I couldn't help them :/

the ones in the US so far haven't, it's all arranged. for MAYDAY, however, they had 2 sections and it was free seating but it SUCKED because they made us wait for 2+ hours in the rain...i was pissed about that.

fajitapita

isn't the show "that's so raven" also filmed in San francisco? Has anyone ever seen the house for that show? lol I always think of SF as this hilly place with crowded 3-story houses.

spork
04-13-2005, 06:03 AM
hehe. three story houses are crazy expensive in SF. like, millions. even the condos are like half a million. it's whack. most of the SF houses are 2-3 stories but they're basically flats, one unit per floor.

04-15-2005, 01:53 AM
we should have a Jay concert up in Norcal, but it's true that the asian community doesn't seem that widespread up here :( Now i'm sad...

fad3d_dr3amz
04-15-2005, 02:21 AM
hmm.... i don't think jay would play a mini concert for his fans up in norcal... -___-;; even though that would be awesome!
does jay even play small venues? or does he only play stadium concerts like the one and incomparable?

fajitapita
04-15-2005, 06:34 AM
Dude, but w/ all the asians in san jose and all the berkeley students? and shouldnt sf have alotta asians too? i think we could fill those seats... must convince him somehow!

spork
04-15-2005, 08:23 AM
we'd have to live without the fireworks and fire that the big venue concerts have. I doubt our biggest outdoor auditorium thing could have all that flashy stuff, but that's cool. us norcal fans don't need any of that flashy business. :D Maybe at a smaller venue you can be at front row and try to touch him through the security guards :shifty:

fad3d_dr3amz
04-16-2005, 02:28 AM
hmm i wonder how we can get jay to give us norcal fans a concert? =D

hehe. yeah i know bishop o dowd. bishop o dowd is lowell's rival for the theater program (which I'm in) or something. where is it in oakland??

spork: youre in the theater program? were you in Guys and Dolls? :excited:

i doubt jay would perform a concert for a small audience. we need to get him to notice us and come up her to perform for us! *starts the make jay come to norcal campaign* is anyone with me? :bleh:

spork
04-18-2005, 04:55 AM
jay_is_cute: Naw, I wasn't in Guys and Dolls (but it was fantastic wasn't it ). i'm one of the lowly anti-social techies that builds the set and props and stuff

jay_is_cute
04-18-2005, 08:49 AM
spork: guys and dolls was absolutely fanta-ma-astic! i loved it even though my friends thought it was only mediocre because of all the hype. they expected it to be better. but it was really funny! tech crew is awesome! does tech crew go to other performances too, such as orchestra concert?

fad3d_dr3amz: lets write a petition and send it to jay! im sure he'll read it after 100 people have ripped it to pieces look for potential threats...

spork
04-18-2005, 09:29 AM
jay_is_cute: hehe if you had the chance to see the other 4 cali schools perform Guys and Dolls at the Ohlone Theater Festival I think it's obvious who's the best
but i'm biased, because I had a lot of fun doing stuff this year for the musical.
whenever we have assemblies the teacher usually asks a couple of us to help him run it..like 3 of us maybe. but we don't really do anything for orchestra/band or dance concerts, except at most coordinate the colored lighting and cue music for dancers.
i love tech crew because we get to play with dangerous tools

jay_is_cute
04-19-2005, 08:10 AM
spork: of course we're the best! :yeah: so at the festivals, did everyone re-enact the plays or did they just show the recordings of them? wouldn't it be so boring to sit through 4 sets of the same play? i sooo fell in love with Sky in the musical. i loved the part when he kissed Sarah and she slapped him...hahah i think he use to go to my middle school too! :D
aw too bad you dont work at orchestra concerts, because i would be there! :bleh:

now where have all the san franciscans wandered off to again? :hmm:

spork
04-19-2005, 08:24 AM
They reenact parts of it...I dunno what the different categories for plays/musicals are...one is best musical overall, which is when a school picks 1-2 pieces from the musical and they have ten minutes to perform it, and the other category I know is called the mini-musical, where they scrunch everything into ten minutes...
hehe the ppl who play Sarah and Sky are dating :P that's why there's so much "chemistry" hehe.
do you play in the orchestra? which class? usually Mr V just has a beginning student work the musicals hehe, so I just watch from the audience :P

are we the only san franciscans chatting? ><

fad3d_dr3amz:no im not in any specific orchestras; i doubt im good enough. i've been to SF youth orchestra open rehearsals and boy are they good. i wish i was that good, but i guess those people have put lots of hard hours of work into their playing. now if i could only get my butt away from jcnet to practice... :D

04-23-2005, 10:25 AM
lol i barely practice (as in music).

fad3d_dr3amz: im currently watching staiway to heaven too! ive seen the first two episodes and it is already so sad!!! they just began showing it on TV in on KTSF but i couldn't wait so im trying to dl the remainder of the series. this is even more off topic, but would yo happen to know what can i do if i can hear the audio but cant see anything of the video? i usually am able to play .avi files.

jay_is_cute: what should I call you? you can call me spork or ming, whichever :P Yeah Sky=Chris hehe I never knew his last name and there are a lot of asian Chris-es at school hehe. Haha yeah he does look better from far away, but he's cool :P he hung out with the techies a lot because we're just that cool  I did wrestling and dragon boat with CYC for a while, but this year I'm just doing clubs - Volunteers Club and Medical Explorers (which is like the pre-med one but better :P ) What else do you do at school?

i bought the series from china, so of course it's pirated, and sometimes it won't play.
Kwon Sang Woo is sooo. . haha. . .

violin is more of a chore for me, i don't really like playing =/

sporkie: can i call you sporkie? too bad i already did! anyways, i wanted to stop playing violin a while ago, but i knew that i would regret it so i decided not too. i feel really relaxed and happy when i can finally play a piece right (which is not often i guess ).
in the beginning of the year i was interested in joining sports like badminton and basketball and track but then i never got off my lazy butt to go to tryouts...ah well i can still love sports...as for clubs, i was in the chinese cultural arts club last year which is basically traditional dancing, but then i got stage fright. haha..so now im only in BWB. you should come check it out even though we dont do much.

fad3d_dr3amz: is there a name i can call you by? yup i agree, kwong san woo is so charming! i haven't seen most of the episodes yet but from the parts i saw, i fell in love with him! really violin is a chore? are you required to practice a minimum amount of time everyday? i enjoy playing, when i can get it right of course...hehe

anyway, violin. . . i used to play it 3 hours a day, but now it's just been getting so boring and tedious

lol bonnie, after all these years i still dunno my own school's clubs :P what's BWB?
track is hard @_@ you have to be fanatical to enjoy it. I just like to stay relatively in shape, hehehe. badminton is fun tho :D

3 hrs a day for violin is a lot to me @_@ I never had that much endurance for anything, really, keke

hey i remember faded dreams was asking for the alfa address a while back so we could send our...um...petition. anyways it was a sticky at the top of the news forum or something:

Alfa Jay Chou Organisation
Alfa Music International Co. LTD
149 Min Sheng East Road, Section Two, 12th floor
Taipei, Taiwan

i wonder if we would ever actually do it...

sporkie: BWB = Building With Books. we raise money to build schools in less developed countries. which is quite cool i think. as for track, did you hear about andy? if course you did, why am i asking? i was really sad when i read the article and almost all of my friends are on track. damn mr. prutz, i dont even know who he is...

faded dreams: wow i would never have enough patience to practice for 3 hours a day!

spork
05-02-2005, 10:15 AM
yeah I have no idea who Mr Prutz is either LOL. like his name seriously isn't ringing a bell hahaha. Andy's cool in his tough love kinda way i guess, i don't know him tho, and i don't have many friends in track, but i think that as long as they keep raking in the medals and stuff then they should keep him.
i might've seen some BWB posters around...i think :x SO not active in the school clubs scene hehe. the only one I'm really in is the Med Ex, and I haven't shown up in weeks ^_^"

sporkie: i haven't shown up to any clubs for the past month or so. i feel so awful lazzzzzy and tired and i just wanna go home and sleep. our club is the one that sends people on treks. this year it was africa..it was announced in the bulletin. wow i would never dare to go though...im a chicken. the girls that went got so many marriage proposals! (thats not why im scared though :D)

spork
05-12-2005, 03:09 AM

jay_is_cute
05-14-2005, 09:45 AM
*raises hand* im canto too!

aw, faded dreams, that sucks you have to leave before jay arrives. have you been to any of his concerts before? ive been nagging my dad to go to hk but he's just been back there during spring break, so we can't go...ive never been to china before!

HAHAH my friend is from HK and she claims that she is British. she is so not british..LMAO sometimes she has a british accent, which when you think about it is impossible since she left before she knew how to talk!

spork
05-14-2005, 11:07 PM
LOL when I was little and found out that HK used to be a British colony I used to claim that I was british too, even though I moved to US before I could talk, hehe.

i wonder if you could have applied to be a british citizen back then...cuz i want to :x hehe

and ohh what theres british people in hong kong? O_O
LOL yeah when I was visiting I would see a lot of white business people having lunch or something around the financial district and causeway bay. i swear they have better chinese than me >_<

hahaha i find it amusing when white people speak asian languages :D

jay_is_cute
05-22-2005, 05:20 AM
in chinatown there were these white missionaries that spoke mandarin perfectly. yes, so perfect it was scary. but then i heard from my chinese teacher that theres this place that trains non-asians to speak chinese and learn chinese cultures to be spies in china if the situation ever called for it. china is a threat! mwahahah! the teachers there however, feel like they are betraying their home. quite a conflict i say.

fad3d_dr3amz
05-31-2005, 10:38 AM
ahh taiwan and china of course. then i'm coming back for SAT classes / volunteer stuff -___-
junior year is going to suck . . .

spork
06-01-2005, 03:06 AM
y'know what sucks? The month after APs are over in your senior year...Some teachers still make you go and learn and they give you senior finals and all you want to do is not go to class...and some days I cut and worry whether they will mark me down, and this weekend I was so wasted and lazy I didn't even remember I had a test and essay due today...and ended up cutting 2 classes I should've gone to and bombing my physics test (at least I studied for the physics final -_-)

I'm just so messed up right now it's not funny @_@

fad3d_dr3amz
06-03-2005, 10:18 PM
sigh. my grades have been slipping ever since the beginning of may... i've just been slacking off in school because well, whats the point? the weather is too nice. -__-

06-04-2005, 08:10 AM
lol...are your finals this Monday and Tuesday?? did you have finals today?

jay_is_cute
06-04-2005, 10:24 AM
for summer i'll probably be going to Yosemite or Hawaii.

seriously, i haven't studied for finals at all. this is my laziest period ever. most of the finals won't affect my grade much since its pretty much safe, so im not motivated. of course im probably not up-to-par in laziness compared to sporkie. :tomato:

spork, did you go on the picnic today? i was surrounded by seniors in bikinis when i got out to the front.

fad3d_dr3amz
06-04-2005, 11:55 AM
nah i have finals tuesday-thursday. yup finals on the last day of school.
ahh well next year will be easier now that im gunna be a senior! XD

haha i feel so young. . .

jay_is_cute
06-05-2005, 09:02 AM
what school are you from fad3d_dr3amz? haha i dont even plan on going to school thursday. wow you'll be a 16 year old senior..thats really young!

kinda off topic, but hmmm..today on the chinese version of somewhat american idol on TVB, this guy sang jay's black humor really horribly, and my dad says that jay sounds like that....i was like WHATTT??!!! garr..he just doesnt appreciate jay. worst thing is he believes those paparazzi that jay wants jolin *back*. yah, back...

fad3d_dr3amz
06-05-2005, 09:29 AM
what? what channel was that on? o_O

and i'll be 17 soon XD

jay_is_cute
06-06-2005, 06:26 AM
it was on the chinese jade channel, 68, if you have cable i believe. if you dont then i dont know which channel its on. anyways, i believe the next "season" begins next week saturday if youre interested in catching a glimpse.

now where o where has the sporko-dork gone off to?

fad3d_dr3amz
06-06-2005, 10:10 AM
chinese jade channel... well I think thats for people who have either digital cable or they've subscribed to that channel, and unfortunately for me, i haven't done either =[

i go to a school that isn't really near san francisco, well i guess, maybe 40 minutes away? I used to go to aragon high in san mateo, now I go to monta vista in cupertino...

spork
06-10-2005, 04:48 AM
Sporky-worky is right here :bleh: How were you guys' finals?
Are your teachers still making you go to school, bonnie? I was there for a couple hours today :P from like, 12-2:30 or so...I bought a bunch of bouquets to give to my teachers and two counselors that I talked to a lot at school. Planning to work this summer? or summer school X_X

jay_is_cute
06-11-2005, 08:29 AM
well i dont order the chinese channel and i dont have digital cable, so thats weird...

anyways, sporkie, technically i have to go sign in for english class, so i went at about 10-ish to school to sign in. afterwards, i went with my friends to lakeshore and we raided ross for the worst fashions ever and tried them on. there was this leopard shirt that we found a leopard bag for and leopard shoes, and leopard luggage to match with. i laughed so hard i was suffocating!

i have a few volunteer projects going on in the summer. no summer school because its way to expensive, and i can just take it at school and no job because i was too lazy to apply and go for interviews. overall, i'll feel like a wasted lazy pig during the summer.

spork
06-12-2005, 02:56 AM
hahaha. you and my friend are in the same boat with the summer thing. Except she doesn't have any kind of volunteer stuff lined up, hehe.

LOL the Ross at Lakeshore sounds weird :x I go to the Payless Shoes store a lot for cheap shoes, hehehe. Like the pair I wore for prom and graduation, which are actually pretty cute ^_^ It's very neat and quiet in there, unlike other Payless Shoe stores :/

kewlpiggy88
06-12-2005, 06:52 AM
ah, me and my sis used to raid ross for interesting shoe styles...there were just a bunch of raaandom shoes. anyway, faded_dreams, do you know klarence? he goes to MV and is a senior, too!

yo mike, long time no talk. any more jay visits coming up? anyway, WOW, hillsborough. that's a hella rich area. i went to a potluck thingy in hillsborough and i was blown away by her house.

spork - my friends are looking for jobs and there is like nothing open.

spork
06-16-2005, 07:55 AM
There's never anything open >_< It's because us youths have no experience and no connections. Damn me for not finding friends that are worth some sort of salary. Damn me! I've found a lot of places open, but either they want people with more experience or people who will stick around after summer...which sucks. sigh. minimum wage in SF is so nice too...esp with no rent or bills to pay, haha.

The only problem is the SAT 1 books I have are no longer any good for today's SAT, right? >< I have 2 of the big red test books, one from when i bought one and one from princeton. >_<

kewlpiggy88

Oh no!!! the SF thread is dying again!!! *tries to bring it back to life* Everyone must be in Asia having the time of their lives >_<
Surprisingly, San Francisco has been oddly HOT this past week...Like, it looks cold in the morning, and then the weather miraculously heats up, the clouds melt, and the sun is beating down on you. X_X I've gotten slightly sunburnt every day this week even with sunblock...eeeek!!!!

did you know cities like SF and LA create their own climates in certain parts of the city? like downtown, with all the tall buildings, the wind tends to get cut off from certain places and the weather in that area is warmer than the rest of the city. I never thought of it that way...it'd be cool if the weather was cooler than norm, rather than hotter or more humid X_X

I'm going to Davis! wheeeeeeeeeee. people told me not to go cow-tipping because cows could die, so I guess I should leave the poor moos alone, especially since I don't live near them. I'm moving out in about a month XD

yeah, that "cum to singapore" one was funny...it's still funny ^_^"

oooo fungi's coming to SF!!!!! yaaaaaaaaaay!!!!
although, i can't think of anything for a tourist to do, really, even tho i live here XD you can go downtown to ride the cable car, where all the shopping is...there's haight street, where there's more [expensive] shopping [and bums...] or you can go to fisherman's wharf, which is a big tourist attraction because ppl ride the ferry to alcatraz or angel island and eat at the restaurants and stuff...if you're at the wharf you can buy yummy ice cream from the ghiradelli chocolate factory XD

sporkie, yup, i went up to Reno/Lake Tahoe for a few days. it was pretty fun...haha i had my first gambling experience at the slots, and i had my first spa session! :D you have to be 18 to do both, but i slipped through. and i actually won money on my first try! :D after staying at Reno, we went to Lake Tahoe for a day, and the lake was so pretty! gosh... there were lots of surfer dudes there too, but they weren't so hot...
yup i'll be a junior this year...scary. all those tests and stuff. did you ever take any SAT classes or whatever? haha, i'll be sure to tell you when im a senior...i love being nagged.  my brother goes to Davis! i had a feeling you were going there when you said in the cali thread summer vaca was 3 1/2 months. oo yes, leave the poor moos alone!

aileen jie, hmm, i would recommend Pier 39 like sporkie mentioned. i think SF is also famous for the Coit Tower. oo, there's also the Golden Gate Park where the Japanese Tea Garden and other stuff are.

spork
08-24-2005, 12:41 PM
yah, visit the arboretum or Japanese Tea garden [although the walk around the entire park is only like 15 minutes...] there's also Japantown-with-a-few-korean-places.

bonnie: ooo lucky, a spa! i never actually tried gambling in Tahoe. last time i went there with my youth group we just played poker at the house we rented XD
ooo what year is your brother in?
I took the princeton review SAT classes. I dunno how your classes would be like tho, since SATs have a new format now. It should be the same old stuff for math, at least...in math they teach you all the short cuts to figuring our math problems, so all you have to do is memorize the rules hehe. I think the princeton ones last 9 weeks (?) and they meet 2-3 days a week for 2 hours...and they give you books, so don't buy any if you do princeton XD I bought a practice book and then the teacher gave me the same book...

Quite a few Galileo kids at Davis, more than Lincoln High, so it can't be as bad as it used to be. Lincoln might as well drop off the face of the earth XD

hi [b]bonnie! :D Davis is kinda boring =_= I haven't gone to any parties haha, only thing that happened was some mutual friends of me and my roommate came up to stay for the night and we played video games and stuff. It was fun ^_^ Lots of work @_@

jay_is_cute yup in davis for the next 10 days. it isnt that hot just very humid. but you know what is weird, my friend from s.f. during the winter season she say davis get colder than s.f. and i disagree with her, i've been going to s.f. all my life and s.f can soo get colder than here at davis!

i might just hop on the bus tomorrow and play in s.f. oOo.. clam chowder actually sounds kinda good right now.

how was the trip? the clam chowder at fisherman's wharf is to die for. i remember having it a few times and it was so good.

zhy378, actually i think it gets colder in davis too. i've visited my brother a few times during the winter and it was freezing! definitely colder than SF.

bebyjaystaa, it's boring in SF? I'd imagine it'd be more boring at Davis, since there doesn't seem to be much there. but then again, if it's your hometown, I'd understand why you like it.

AzNQgUrLiE15, wow, that's a long time since you've been to SF!

i'm so excited because our orchestra is going to the De Young Museum tomorrow to play for some event and i've never been in there. has anyone ever gone?

man I love how I can ride a bike with no hands now hahaha. Earlier in the school year I was working on riding a bike with one hand, hehehe.

I think Davis gets a lot colder than S.F...we don't have any ocean to regulate the temperature after all. It felt pretty darn icy during winter quarter >_> going to the library every day >_<

mmm...I miss dim sum from SF so much haha. Everytime I go home, which is rare, I stuff my face hahaha. If I actually gained weight in college it's probably from the di sum everytime I go home, not from the dorm food haha.

zhy: There used to be studio shops all over the place but now they've all closed down, and the only neoprints places I know of are in Japantown..

hehe, bike accidents. I've been in a couple actually. I was biking back to my room from class and trying to pass by this girl biking really slow, and then she turned and collided into me! thankfully, neither of us fell down..

I also have a scar on my knee from a bike accident when I was younger. I don't like biking down hills anymore @_@

I don't think I've ever taken studio pics, outside of the cheap school ones they make you take...Sticky pics are fun though, but I feel stupid taking them now hehe XD

I still haven't gone clubbing XD I'm thinking of waiting until I'm 21, because people tell me that the 18+ ones are very mediocre...except those reviews are coming from people 21+ XD

The only thing me and my friends ever did at night was go eat at restaurants and hang out there for two hours, like the kind of dinners you have with your relatives X_X
We went to Hooters once, hehe. And we used to go around Fisherman's wharf and eat ice cream at Ghiradelli a lot, but I gues those kinds of places are only accessible if you have a car, because taking the bus at night is a hassle and cold. actually it happened last monday night around 9 , not sure on the date-time. but this white guy went to a korean bar asking for a woman thinkin she works there but she didnt. then he got hella angry, shot the woman and the female bartender, storms out of the bar, saw a couple walking at the japantown plaza, shot the guy. the woman died, bartender injured and the guy died a day later. and the killer got caught right after he did his shootings.
:worry: i feel sorry for the couple, i guess wrong time wrong place.

and we all go to james logan high, in union city. =.=

omg, i didn't hear of that! but it's just simply tragic. both parents dying at christmas eve. >.<

this reminds me of something else(sorry for being off topic): it happened at new year's eve also, but 2-3 years ago. and it was in my neighborhood, and my neighborhood rarely ever has news like this. but there was murder. =O

a stepdad was drunk and killed his wife, the son, the daughter, and almost killed the other son. he slit the neck but he didn't die yet. he was lucky enough to escape to the neighbor's house to ask for help. he rang the doorbell and fainted. o.o

the boy went to my elementary school, and i saw him at the mall one or two weeks ago. he has this long red scar across his neck. i feel so sorry for him. >.<

I saw a COTGF commercial on TV (FOX, i think), and they showed Jay a lot of times! :-)

about SATs, i don't think its the same everywhere. i mean, obviously the test is the same, but different schools adminster it differently and vary on efficiency. i took most of mine at lowell, but one time i signed up late and got assigned to oakland tech. the test was supposed to start at about 7:45, but no one was even there by 8:30 and when the administrators finally let us in, it was so messy and everyone got assigned the wrong rooms and we finally started at around 9:30! what a waste of time!

i'm not sure if that's what you mean by "better" though v3rmillion...

v3rmillion
01-10-2007, 05:45 AM
^ heh, that's what I meant, jay_is_cute. First time I took it at Newark was fine...I ended up in an art room and basically all the people on one table can see each others tests... but in November, they let us in late, and I got lost finding my room and none of the proctors knew where the room was either:-x ...turned out to be a portable and the oroctors changed room numbers or something and made everyone freeze outside.. so that's where I heard that Logan is better..in terms of site

xanimeotakux Logan's 90% asian?... indeed

It's SPRING BREAK in SF! (:
I'm really starting to hate the weather too. It's cold sometimes..hot sometimes...cold sometimes..hot sometimes...

This thread is sooo dead! Let's revive it!

Here's a random picture taken near the pier. We should post pictures of SF in here. Just because it's getting so boring. We need to do something newwwww.

Spring break is nearly over for me. Poo. =(

We need more hot weather! I need a tan...I'm so white these days it's not even funny. I used to be really tanned though.

I would post some pictures, but I don't have any on hand, haha. That's a nice pic of the pier though, bebyjaystaa.

i just got an email from one of my resident advisors, apparently some residents thought that it would be funny to go and wreck a few bikes this weekend, there's a chance that my bike was also wrecked, i swear this is getting ridiculous

LOL! FRISCO. Dude, I don't think anyone living here says that anymore. Well, maybe alla the ghettoass people. But yeah. Only people who don't live here call it Frisco, that's what my history teacher said. Hahaha.
Us "Frisco-ians" like to call it The Bay. (::
Anywhooooooo,
YOMAMA, do you live in SF ?
And I sooo want to go to Davis for college :(

v3rmillion
04-26-2007, 06:22 AM
haha, I wouldn't want to go to Berkeley for college..there's too many asians  it's good for improving my Chinese/Chinglish skills, but I'd rather go to HK/China/Taiwan for school if I wanted to hear Chinese around me all the time...

heh, I've never heard anyone here call it Frisco either...but now we're the "Yay" Area  blame the hyphy movement :D

anyone watching NBA playoffs this year? think Warriors will beat mavs? :-)

jay_is_cute
04-26-2007, 07:30 AM
i'm watching the playoffs!

it's probably not realistic, but i really want the warriors to win! i know that even if they advance this round they'd probably lose the next round, but still....warriors <3! besides, except for tonight, the won all their games against the mavs this season. so there's hope!

i want them to win even more because stupid charles barkley go off and run his mouth again about how the warriors will lose the next 3. i know he was a good player in his day, but he doesn't have to be so pompous all the time. -__- (okay, i'll admit i'm biased because of his early comments about yao ming.)

about thieves in davis, yah, my brother goes there and i heard that there are a lot of petty thieves in the area, who mostly steal bicycles and bicycle parts. it's still a very safe town though in general. i was actually really looking forward to going there this next school year, so i hope i won't regret my decision not to go.

Yeah..houses are so expensive now. Especially in the Sunset District & Richmond District.

And the "bay slang" HAH! I agree. There is alot.

v3rmillion
06-07-2007, 06:40 AM
any house in a good school district costs a lot too..(and it prolly means there are a lot more Asians in that area too )

ah, seriously..the weather around here is bipolar. chilly wind one moment, warm sun the next. great weather for getting sick before finals

lol...bay slang..there's got to be a least one song/music video for each term

oi, this thread sure is hard to keep alive, haha...

i was reading back..and i've forgotten how much i used to post in this thread. i don't even recognize some of my posts anymore. and where has the spork-meister gone off to?

hmm, what's new these days...well, our mayor is hot!

bay slang is so dorky. or at least i think it is. i didn't even know what "ghost ride the whip" was until a long time afterwards...-___-

bebyjaystaa
07-31-2007, 10:17 PM
WOW. This is a really hard thread to keep alive T_T I think it's gonna die again after this post. Hah. Well nothing's really happening in SF huh ? Just that it's summer...and I need to finish my hw for AP STATS since it's only a month before school starts =.= I'm so screwed.

v3rmillion
08-03-2007, 03:21 AM
*tries to keep thread somewhat alive*

dang..it must suck to have homework over the summer. Good luck with AP stats, though. For me the math wasn't that hard, it's just the terms that get a bit tricky. Just know how to use your calculator and load nifty cheat programs to use while the proctors aren't looking :D

Hmm, I went to Fisherman's wharf the other day...seems like there's a lot less of those shiny people dancing on top of milk crates these days  There was a big group of anti-Bush people though XD

bebyjaystaa
08-04-2007, 03:03 AM
LOL, "shiny people", do you mean those people who paint themselves ? :glug: A bit strange to me. Haha. I always found them funny. I haven't been to the pier for a while. Since like...2 years ago. Not much to do unless you're a tourist or something.

And yeah, AP stats. The thing that keeps stressing me is that I'm suppose to have a bunch of programs for my calculator, but the day that the teacher gave it to us, I had to leave early, so I didn't get it. Now I'm stuck doing all of it by hand :shifty: Pathetic... gah. :rasp:

jay_is_cute
08-04-2007, 06:25 AM
AP stats...numbers and i don't get along..so thank god i never took that class. babyjaystaa, can't you just get the programs from a friend or someone else?

it's been at least 3 or 4 years since i last went to the wharf. i have no idea what shiny people you're talking about... they have yummy clam chowder and caramel apples though!

bebyjaystaa
08-08-2007, 04:59 AM
Yeah, I could get it from a friend. But I always forget to bring my calculator with me.
Anyways, I'm so tired. I went to Great America on Saturday. And the night before, I only had 2 hours of sleep. I'm super tired still. Anyways, wsup with everyone ?
