I never watch Olympics because I kinda hate sports(except if it Jay playing basketball :brows: ) but one night, my dad was watching and I suddenly heard Long Quan being played. It was during the tennis game for China vs Spain(at least that's what my dad told me)
So i got all excited because as i know, Olympic Games is held in Athens and it's shown over the world internationally but what I'm not sure is...Is it a normal thing?
I mean like...do they ALWAYS use Jay's song for this games....or is it a really rare thing...
I need more DETAILS people! :?
EDIT:Because i posted this before the news was up...I had no idea that Shuang Jie Gun was used in the Olympic Games as well....

Hi charmed_1009, I didn't managed to catch the tennis game for China vs Spain that played Jay's Long Quan. I watched some other games played by China but so far didn't get to hear any Chinese songs playing at the back. Mainly they played English songs, some that i can remember are like Kylie Minogue and Britney Spears (can't remember the rest). They are mostly played during the short break, time out etc

It was during the game itself....when they were playing....and then China won....the players hugged each other and all...
they still played Jay's song....
Jay1988...I'm proud as well...but is this a normal thing? :?

I guessed they played Jay's songs when only the Chinese are playing?...I hope I can catch Jay's songs playing for some other games...I can only hear the cheering from the people supporting the players or the commentator talking.
Charmed, did you manage to watch other games that played Jay's songs too? Your dad is lucky to hear it  all I heard are the English songs.

That is sooo cool! I'm not very into watching sports either. I used to watch a bit of tennis and hockey but usually, I don't watch sports. Even if it was the Olympics, I'm not that interested. But now that you mentioned that Long Quan played in the Olympics, I draws me! I think Long Quan is a great song choice to play for the Olympics because it's a very strong song and it have a very strong chinese influence! A great way to represent china and pump the players!

Cool... But I wonder where the Greeks get to purchase the album...
Did Zues, father of Olympus, hurd a lighting bolt down to the stadiums with a copy of his album as a present for the Greeks?
Anyway, just joking.... It is great that foreigners get 2 know Jay and his music... Long Quan is a song filled with a blast of inner power and the will to compete... It is a nice song to be featured in the games... Go..Go Jay....

Of course Long Quan is a great and powerful song meant to energize and invoke the "dragon" within you!!!!!! And guess what too?! Long Quan Pai aka LQP is named after Jay's song "Long Quan" because we represent these great and fiercesome qualities! How cool!!!!!! :excited:

It would so amazing if they did! dammit! i hate watching sports! why couldnt my parents be watching that match and called me when it came up?! i'm so proudof jay though, he deserves to be noticed internationally. Hmm, they should play 'Ke Ai Nu Ren' during figure skating:D (do they even have figure skating in the Olympics?)
(do they even have figure skating in the Olympics?)
er yes. Take Michelle Kwan and that Terra Lapinski chick (alright, I really butchered the spelling on her name) or Sara (forgot last name) but she won the last Olympic competition. Anyways, I'm pretty sure they have figure skating in the Olympics. :wink2:

Yes it did play, in fact on more than one occasion, or so I've read in an article.
One was during the warm up of the women's basketball match between China and Korea.
The other was after the Chinese won the gold medal match in women's doubles in tennis. It was the first Olympic gold in tennis for China.
This is so great for Jay because Long Quan is like the perfect song for such an occasion.

Whoa!!! This means a great deal to Jay, I guess, to have his music be played on an International Scale. It goes to show how people recognize Jay's songs as great significance to the Chinese spirit!!!

im so gonna concentrate more during China vs X games from now on. there was a womens volleyball game between Japan and China, and again i saw like 10% of it. huh
Jay's music rocks..and its about time the rest of this world knows that. what better time to release it than the Olympics? ahhh these Alfa people are getting smarter everyday>>
damn i didn't hear it >< I'm going to keep my eyes glued on the olympics from now on- especially the games China are in...but I have been watching the olympics and I haven't really heard any music except while the gymnastics and diving events are on and it all seems to be classical music...when do they play music from Jay and other artists?

tks charmecd-1009 . i've watch a couple of the matches - msotly those that feature our local heroes ( ha. ha. who unfortunately up to now are unable to bring any glory to our country - malaysia ), but i did not catch any chinese background songs . if you are right then it's great news and so appropaite as long quan was the song that jay had to sing clearly at the cctv new year concert . so if china team plays his song in the oylmpics - then jay's effort is well rewarded.
eeh I was watched the entire game and didn't hear anything at all! o_O Omg it's still incredible though, I must put the stereo on next time i watch the olympics hehe, Jay must be so proud... <33
