She is climbing the charts as pop music’s latest young sensation, but 13-year-old JoJo believes her music transcends the bubble gum crowd. JoJo’s first single “Leave (Get Out)” topped Billboard’s singles sales charts earlier this year, and her hip-hop and soul-tinged album “JoJo” debuted as No. 4 on the Billboard chart when it was released last month.

Her song, "Get Out," was at the top of the charts for one month now. Longest ever for a young teenager like her -- 13 years old!

It's funny how Get Out went up in the fame charts. On the radio, it said she just did it during a demo for fun and thought it would be something really special. But at the time her mom didn't let her have a boyfriend so, the song Get Out doesn't mean anything but, just a song!

I would upload it for you but unfortunately, I've only heard her songs on the radio.

my sister has her cd... its' ok.. i thought the only good song was get out... she has a really deep voice for such a young girl... even when she talks.. its' DEEP. i saw her perform at the teen choice awards... it was ok i guess.. she's very small...

but she broke britney's record for being the youngest person to have a number one single... britney had one for baby one more time when she was 17. but its' too bad that jojo didnt have a number one album, than she would break another one of britney's record.

It's not a bad album. Personally, I thought she was an african american because her voice sounds really deep and "soul-ful".

I've only listened to Leave (Get Out) but, I'm on the start of "Not That Kinda Girl" and that's not so bad. She's a catchy type of girl.

I don't know that much about her but when I first saw her music video I thought she was just another new pop singer.. and I thought she was like 17 or something because she didn't look 13 years old.. But overall, I really like her current single, Get Out. :happy:

i agree ... but her song was number one again for the week.. i'll admit that her song leave is really good.. but the radio plays it waaaay too much, and it gets really annoying.. and the fact that she's so small, and posses such a deep voice is rather scary... she does have a nice voice, but please wait a few years! the songs on her cd, arent that good.. its' just this song that's good

i have her cd and the only song i liked was Leave (Get Out) the rest of the songs sounded like something that you would hear on a Destiny's Child cd and were a completely different style than Leave.

oh yea, jojo is going to be in a movie, i think it's untitled, but she's in a movie with another girl, and the movie basically is about her and her friend, they discover a mermaid in their swimming pool, and it goes on, it seems really neat

there's not alot of movies on mermaids, i would love to watch this one :-)

"JoJo is set to shoot her first movie, "Aquamarine," in February. Co-starring Emma Roberts (Nickelodeon's "Unfabulous"), the flick will be based on the Alice Hoffman novel about two teenage friends spending their last summer together who find a mermaid in their beach club's pool and must find a way to safely get her back to sea.
"They're still casting, so I can't say much about it," JoJo said. "As far as acting goes, as long as it's [a role] I can do well, then I am all for it and willing to give it a try."

and she's also planning a tour and preparing to release a third single.

The last time I saw her on TV was on the March 1 episode of MTV's Total Request Live.
And I was pretty impressed because when she was asked to identify some rappers
through their real names (i.e. James Todd Smith is LL Cool J, Jayceon Taylor is The Game,etc.),
she got all four correct. I wonder if the quiz was scripted though. :hmm:

And hey! She's just finished filming her next movie R.V.
She plays Cassie Munro, the bitchy daughter of Robin Williams in the movie.

i used to think that she's ok, and, way to young to be an artist,but, she had proved her worth. her songs are really good, the lyrics, and the melody are just amazing. my personal favourite would be too little too late and leave(get out). and other songs like weak are just amazing. and the fact that she started out real early, and can really sing really amazed me...

When Jo Jo first came out with her first single.I thought she was just another Britney Spears.But she can actually sing way better than Britney.

I find JoJo amazing, she proves to other people that some american artist can sing. She is one of the things were they prove people wrong by saying kids can't enter the music industry. Her lastest album "The High Road" is one of my favorite album, I really love the songs and hopefully she will produce and write her own songs later on. :happy:
