Agree tt Shuang Jie Kun is and Ninja are really difficult to sing. Jay does it so well and is so unique w his style. Really impressed w the way he did Shuang Jie Kun. Really nice and unique.

Jay has a very versatile voice. He may not hv powerful voice like Jacky Cheung but his versatility allows him to sing many different type of songs. He alwaes seem to be able to reach many different keys in his songs. Eg Hei Se You Mo and his version of Wo Yuan Yi.

I agree with Ai Zai Xi Yuan Qian! Most ppl will think that his fast tempo songs are tough, but this one is quite a challenge for the lips and tongue! This song is the work of a genius, the music is so beautiful and a bit overwhelming; I feel like I need to keep up with the melody.

Let's just skip the RAP songs (such as Ren Ze, Long Quan, Shuang Jie Kun, BAN SHOU REN) b'coz it's too impossible for me to be able to do it since I can't speak Chinese. (Even though I love almost all of them).

But some slow songs were hard to sing along too. I hate the fact that I love AI ZAI XI YUAN JIAN a lot, but unable to sing it. I only can sing the first part of the chorus. :wacko:

And I couldn't rap some of the first part of BAN DAO TIE HE also. :p Shame on me.

Well, for now, let me just enjoy listening Jay sings the hard songs, and sing a long with him at his slow-and-easy-to-remember songs. :)

first of all, i don't speak mandarin or read chinese, so i have to rely on the pinyin.

when he sings the fast songs, just forget about it... sometimes i can't even follow with the translations!

the slow songs are a little better and i can follow it almost every time when i got familiar with them... but they are still difficult to sing along cause i can't pronounce the pinyin properly and jay's style of singing can't help me too much either! :?

Figures in Jay style, the lyrics has to catch up to him and not the other way round. I find most his songs pretty hard to sing to but I'm definitly trying to learn, every trip to karaoke has to include Jay's music. It doesn't help that I can't read chinese and have to rely on pinyin.

Personally the hardest has to be Nunchucks, I get lost in the pinyin lyrics and go huh? where did he stop??? And he'd be singing the last verse by the time I catch up!

Hhahahah, basically, all of Jay's songs are tough to sing. None of my male friends can capture his style whenever we are at karaoke. Jay's songs are so full of originality.

You shouldn't have done that. It's an unwritten rule to rush for the controls and punch in the songs the moment you enter the room, and so that means you should always maximize the time and sing to your heart's content, even if the songs are difficult to sing to. :oops:

Unless we're talking about music videos that feature a male and female lead, looking into the distance, frolicking along the beach or running around with some temples in the background. That would be the only time you shouldn't sing along to the songs that are being played, but of course, it's always advisable to eject the songs to save your eyes from unnecessary agony. :laughing:

Yeah Lepencil, but you have to understand that sometimes ... you have one or half of an excess hour and you just do not know what to do with it. Or in the case where someone tries to sing his song and fails to catch the key or rthym. What do you do then?

In my case, we continue to play the song until it finishes with Jay singing, of coz. This is in appreciation of his song. Of coz' with everyone's consent. Or like I mentioned earlier, in the case that there's sometimes still one hour left and you don't know what to do with it, you just wanna listen to the songs or watch the MVs.

Is there a rule in karaoke that we cannot just play the MV and watch it? I didn't know that!

The songs in Fantasy, Ren Zhe is... hardly possible. :bow: :bow: :bow: to Jay. I can do all the lyrics for Shuang Ji Gun, but it's that always when it's He He Ha Hee! the pitch suddenly goes VERY high. So I can't say I've mastered it. Shuang Jie Gun was the first one I did, and next was Ba Wo Hui Lai Le. After listening to Ren Zhe I decided to do the rest first, and come back to it once everything lse was done. Until now, it's not done.

As for Eight Dimensions, Long Quan is no problem, but for Ban Shou Ren it's the last part where everything gets mixed up together like rojak and I have to rely on the lyrics to get it right. Zui Hou De Zhan Yi and Ban Dao Tie He are fine, except that Ban Dao Tie He is a bit monotonous. :oops:

Yeh Hui Mei, hahahaha, I can safely say I can do almost every song. Almost, because I can't do Ti Tian yet. Want to meet up so I say show off Nuo Fu to you? :bleh: But then again, I can't say I've mastered it as well. I can't catch my breath at some points, and 'Zhen Bu Gai, Zheng Bu Kai...' was tooooo high. I also can do Yi Fu Zhi Ming with some breath-catching to do. Shuang Dao is also imperfect, because of the high notes when it's 'Feng... Huan Huan Rao Guo Wu Guan...' and the last part, where like Ban Shou Ren, is mixed up like rojak I can't follow unless I have the lyrics in my hands.

I just completed Gui Ji... In about a two days. It's quite easy, and I love the lyrics. It was witten by the same guy who wrote Yi Fu Zhi Ming, Huang Jun Lang.

if u mean following the song, ninja is hard, cos as many of you have suggested, the pace is too fast and varies at differnt part of the songs. the others are not so bad after a few hours of staring at the lyric booklet.. but if you mean sing the song WELL i think its one of the slower songs..

It's "hai hai hai, wakarimashita." Meaning "Yes, I understand/understood."

I can actually rap fairly well to his songs. Stuff like Nun-Chuks or Long Quan I can belt out with no problem. The only thing I can't handle is the intro to Ninja, the speed at which the words come out is mind-boggling, and it makes me rather angry since that's my favorite song.

With the help of the lyrics translation forum here, I've learnt to sing many of his songs. :) I guess only Nuo Fu is hard, Nunchucks is quite hard but I should be able to mumble it through... But I guess if you read the lyrics and with a little bit of practise any song can be sang along with.

For me, Ren Zhe and Shuang Jie Gun are harder to sing along to. But to be able to sing them is possible. I just got the Fantasy album this month (I only started obsessing over Jay last year). Given a bit more time, I'll be able to master them, just as I mastered the rest of his songs. Shuang Jie Gun would prove more difficult. The words doesn't seem to have a rhythm; the words just flow regardless of the beat of the music. That's what I think anyway.

I gave this song to a friend and he said it's pretty hard to sing because he hits really high notes and keeps it there for a long at certain points in the song. Everytime I learn to sing a new song, I always write the entire lyrics down again, and make markings to tell me when to speed up, when to drag the song, etc.

And in the faster paced songs (Ye Qu, Yi Fu Zhi Ming, Mai Ya Tang etc), what I do in places I have difficultly rapping, I write down the pin yin, it really helps. But I still have trouble singing along with his ultra fast songs like ren zhe, luan wu chun qiu, Wo de di pan, I gave up halfway when I tried to learn them because I just can't catch up!!
