Ah, that I believe is the charm of An Jing. It's just a sweet, sad song that we believe is from his own experience. I guess it makes that much sadder because Jay wrote the lyrics himself (might I add, he did an excellent job).

This song, to me, is the saddest song Jay has made. You can really feel the emotion and the sadness in his voice. Also, the idea of letting someone go for that person's happiness is so... sweet. Incredibly sad, but sweet.

My vote goes to An Jing (like practically everyone else)
But the lyrics are really beautifully sad...!!! heart-wrenchingly, beautifully sad...!!! the words/phrases are really simple, yet they convey the poignant, heart-rending meaning so well...!!!
i LOVE the lines "i hope he truly loves u more than i do, coz only then can i force myself to leave you...."

I gotta confess that my chinese ain't the best, and I usually get lazy to actually decipher the words of songs.....(ESP if they are in fan ti, which they usu are since taiwan uses fan ti)

The first song is really sad for me because it kinda describes my childhood experience. Actually my mom wasn't the main target of the abuse. It was mainly my younger brother and me. But my mom was affected too when she tried to protect us. Anyhow, this isn't the place to go into my sad history. Let's just say I pick the song as the saddest because it really affects me personally. I was crying non-stop the first time I heard it.

An Jing is sad too. It's also a little personal. I always imagine this is how my boyfriend would feel if we break up. He loves me so much more than I love him, and I always feel guilty. He's a very nice guy. It's not like I totally don't appreciate him or anything, but I just don't love him as much as he loves me. The sad thing is that I know if we break up, I won't feel that sad.

man, anjing ranks top as the ultimate jay sad song. me and a friend of mine were havig this dicussion not too long ago. so, we went and read all the lyrics of jay's ballads. its amazing, there are many which are sad and depressing, but anjing is still the first. i cannot count how many times i have cried and cried when listening to this song. it just makes me depressive... :cry: i do not know if it is the slow piano playing or the lyrics, or both together which creates this effect. but i mean, nobody can deny it it is an extremely sad song. either way, in my opinion it is one of the most beautiful songs jay has composed so far even if it makes me cry... :blush:

But right now the saddest Jay song I can think of is Wai Po. Especially the line about granma wanting company, not money. It's so true... I've always thought about old people being abandoned by their children at old age and it's just a sad, real thing.

I can also feel Jay's love for his grandmother when he sings about wanting to win the award for her and her being proud of him is the most important thing to him. It's so touching! I almost cried when I read the lyrics. It made me miss my own grandmother, who passed away this year.

Hmm.. for Maple, i don't really find it sad lol. I mean yes, the lyrics are sad and all, but the music is really beautiful. Can just imagine the Maple leaves swaying in the wind and stuff. Distracts me from any sadness lol. But when watching the MV, ahh.. that's a totally different thing. my heart totally ACHES for Jay.

Actually i don't really find any of Jay's songs sad. Ok ok. The theme is about sadness, but it doesn't make me sad! None of Jay's songs makes me sad! But if talking in terms of lyrics and stuff, i would say Zui Hou De Zhan Yi.. especially the part where he goes

I think Dad I'm Back is one of Jay's saddest songs. The lyrics and the mood fully describes the hurt of family abuse.

An Jing, Feng and Gui Ji are also sad...especially whenever Jay reaches the emotional climax. :cry:

Lol there are quite a few including 'Qing Tian' and 'Yi Lu Xiang Bei', etc. But the ultimate one is definitely 'An Jing'. Its my favorite all-time Jay chou song I liked ever since 3 years ago. And its significant in my life because of a very important best friend, the memories we shared and everything else. That's why its so memorial and sad to me.

An Jing!! There are so many songs out there that have sad lyrics, but I think what makes An Jing different is how Jay sings it! =( You can hear and feel the raw sadness in the song which makes it so beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.
