i don't know if it's posted i searched and found only "the oringal scent of love" which has different actors/actresses. if this is posted then just delete this

anyways this series is recently showing in vancouver, and i just wanna disgust it with you guys. this series has a collabration of korean, taiwaness, hongkong, japananess actors/actresses.

for those of you that haven't watched it yet heres a brief plot( only what up to where im watching now)..sorry i didnt really pay attention to the character names(i never do><)
ok this taiwaness guy i think his nickname is go(dog) has lived in korea for 2 years, he has a strong nose for smell. anyways he meets this girl who is 4 years older than him and grows special feelings towards her. he dreams of mysterious things that happened around the 1940's in the past, scenes of him and the girl loving each other till death. in his past life he was japaness and the girl was korean. the girls family forbids her to go out with a japaness guy, so something happens (havent watched what happens yet) anyways back to real life, the girl shows no feelings for go because he's young, but at the same time shes sees bits and pieces of her past life. the antagionst of the story is this fattie(hes not fat but i jus really dislike him) who likes the girl also, so im guessing this is gonna be another one of those tragic love stories

sorry for the terrible summary, because the story is very hard to understand right now, and im only on like ep 5 it keeps on going back and forth in time. it gets a little boring sometimes, and sonmetimes heart aching

btw anyone know the name of the actors/actresses? i think the main actor is like so cute (kinda scrawy looking, but hes actually pretty damn muscular)

so people tell me whats happening in the story, i have low understanding ablities

I watched it, teehee, now no one will believe me when I said in The Rose thread that I hardly watch these types of shows. Ok I went from hardly watching any to keep trying to find another good one, so I went through a whole bunch of shows during my month off.

I don't know, do you want me to give you spoilers? You can ask some specific questions and I can answer, if I still remember.

I think the guy's really cute too, especially coupled with the character's personality.

OH and I love the theme song. I went especially looking for it after watching it. :D

i mostly don't understand the past, and some parts of the show were in korean with chinese subtitles(i cant read them) i'm dying to know during the first ep what the fortune teller told the girl, i know it was some kind of warning, but i dont understand it fully. and u know the oldies in the series, they have complex relationships too, is the girl's brother the son of go's dad? i don't know i think i'll understand it more as i watch it. and the pace is quite slow...-.-

The fortune teller, I think he said something about a mark on her neck that indicated that in this life she'll have 孽緣 (nie yuan), which means something like sinful fate with someone. So it's like a premonition, foreshadows the whole show.

And you are correct on the brother being the son of the guy's father, so technically the girl's brother is the guy's half brother. And the brother isn't really her brother, it's her cousin since his mother is her aunt.

Eddie Peng Yu Yan is the lead... the scrawny guy you mentioned... and the main actress is Qiu Ci Xuan... shes a korean though...
His father is Damian Lau, a very experienced actor fron Hong Kong... and his best frend, is Ben from B.A.D., a chinese boyband... he is the one singing the song 'yuan lai ai', which is the themesong right? And there is Hsu Wei Lun, the girl that is madly in love with 'Cheng Tian'... the very stubborn and bitchy one...
The names Im giving you are based on the chinese pronounciation...
It was quite easy for me to understand as I watched it on Msian tv in chinese...

ahh.. so this is the new series they're showing. I've seen a few commercials but haven't exactly watched it yet. I got this series confused with Rainie Yeung's "Summer Scent" lol because the commercial covered up all the words except for "scent" :D so anyway, this series is in the present right? But the main character just has dreams about the past? :?

Yeah this series looks nice, partly cos they incorporated the korean and japanese history to it. haven't actually seen it, but hope it will be aired on the chinese channel over here, Eric Pang is nice!

sweet_angel8: this series is in the present, but its kinda like deja vu, the main actor sees visions of his past life, and the actress also see her past life.

i've only seen bits and pieces of this series in phoenix channel so ican't understand much of it. but i get the gist though.

so the bitchy girl's name is Hsu Wei Lun eh? ive seen her act in many series but i didn't bother myself getting her name since she always irk me.

yeah, the theme song's good. but there are also some weird parts of it. especially in the intro where there voices of a woman...hahaha! when i played it to my sister she said it reminded her of the song that was played on my grandmothers funeral....

Is the closing theme song called Yuan Lai Ai or is that the opening theme song? I think the closing theme song's sung by Ben, if I rememeber correctly.

Despite the cute main actor, I think the story is very very boring (no offense for those who like it...its just me) Actually the plot itself is quite good but then I think the problem is with the script or the director.
