I think, that jay is not the only artist your listen to^^..

I love american rap hip hop and RnB(besides jay chou and david tao, coco lee and misia(they r accidentally the only asian singers i know :rolleyes: )

I like 2 Pac very much and Ludacris, Snoop Dogg and some more.. my favourites songs r now
Love em' Ho's (Eamon) and Sunshine(Twista)

Rap is deffinitely a beautiful thing. Of course, you have to choose wisely who you listen too. Idiots with nothing but bad music like 50 Cent and P Diddy are out there. Yarukon, you have chosen one of the best rappers of all time, 2 Pac. He is one of the founders of modern rap. I personally love the older stuff from the mid 90's. Most of the newer rap is garbage, with the exception being Eminem (one of the greatest rap artists of all time.) My favorites are 2 Pac, Dr Dre, Eminem, The Spooks, and Nelly. American rap is where it's at, and don't forget R&B too.

that day, i turned on the radio. and it was playing beastie boys' ch-check it out. and my aunty made a comment on this.. "if you cant sing, go and rap! maybe you can become famous too"

back to the topic, i like Eminem too. the ever first song i heard from him was 'Real Slim Shady' .. then i started listening to his other songs, and yup! he can rap well! :wink2:

i love rap song so much. but never got in with the western singer. and EMINEM is my fave one. :p he's hot, bad, naughty.. OMG... he's the man. :p
actually i love all rap songs no matter where it comes from, as long as it can mixed with my soul, then it'll be okay.
japanese n korean rap also not bad.

OMG I LOVE TUPAC... as you can tell from my avatar... but i think he is the best song writer EVER, better then shakespeare as a poet. he's my all time american rapper... alot ppl just judge him from the songs about girls n stuff, but theres' so much more to him, even eminem sed that he was the best songwriter that ever lived. but there's ppl like 50 cent n lloyd banks that are tupac wannabes just cos they got shot.... p. diddy is stupid too, he's too involved in his songs, he has to hav a part in all his singers song.. like marion winans n stuff....

i dont think there are other real rappers out there, alot of em are just commericial, they try to be real, but not at all... twista is good rapper, man i've never heard neone rap that fast b4, if there's another rapper that can even come close to tupac is eminem.

i love rap and tupac is definately one of the best rappers ever :happy: i never really liked him before, but that was ages ago. at that point i didn't even know what rap was. anyways his lyrics and songs have a lot of meaning behind them. my favourite lyrics of his are life goes on and changes. not all his songs are about girls, money, etc. like most of the rap artists nowadays. i find it annoying since they're music is pretty much all the same. tupac on the other hand is different..and in a good way! haha the reason why i love his music is because of the beat, melody, and of course the lyrics which i think is the key of being a successful rap artist. i like 50 cent too, his songs are ok. haven't heard from him much lately =\

yeah, i agree tupac's songs do hav alot of meaning. some of his songs are about smoking drinking and having sex with hoochies, but tha'ts one side of him. that's the thug side, but then the other side is capapble of rapping songs such as "keep ya head up". an important thing, is that he stays real, alot of rappers today, are very commercialized, they just brag about being shot and going to jail and gettin all the cash and the girls

i dont like 50, he's one of those commercialized rappers, he is a good rapper though.

2Pac and Twista? now thats old school rap. I'm not a really big fan of Twista, its because his rap is too fast, i bet he can read this entire thread in 10 secs. Theres so many new artist that copy this fast technique now, like Trick Daddy. I still think Tupac Shakur is the best rapper of all time, even tho people say hes dead but still releasing like 10 albums after his death. Fav rap song from tupac is "Still Ballin" -Tupac Shakur -Better Dayz Disc Onealbum.

He was beaten earlier this year. There are faster now.

I like rap, but not all the gangsta rap that's going around these days. I'm more into underground hip-hop... like Mos Def, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Jurassic 5, The X-Ecutioners, and a bunch of old school too, like Wu-Tang, 2Pac, Biggie and the big names like that.

And although I really wish 2Pac wasn't dead, he is. The only reason there are so many songs being released post-morteum (sp?) is because the guy can write songs like crazy. There are accounts of him coming into the studio with a song idea and fleshing out the idea, writing the lyrics, and recording them in no less than an hour.
