I'm not sure if any one discover this....
Do all of you find "Wai Po" familiar? For those who saw Jay's "Wu Yu Lun Bi" performance at G-Music Awards 2003, you would have heard "Wai Po" already. In the content of "Wai Po", Jay talks about his disappointment in G-Music award 2003. Actually after that day, he went back and wrote "Wai Po". The first part of "Wu Yu Lun Bi", Jay was playing "Wai Po" 's tune and linked it to "Ba, Wo hui lai le."
If you have the video clip, it's at 0:09 - 0:20, and for the song "Wai Po", it matches with the beginning of the song. Check it out!

Actually Wai po was written last year, after the awards. So its not surprising that he had well sort of sung it before.

though i think he's being pretty gu zhi (stubborn), its like he's still dwelling over the not getting an award matter even though its been 2 years. Oh well.....Jay can't risk losing face as we all know. *don't kill me*

gosh Jam, you light me up. I just found that it's really the same tune.. run back to watch that clip again. This song is so touchy, feeling he's really care his grandma, not because of didn't get award.

; may be you can go to read the lyrics and meaning first, Fartking

Well actually the first time i hear the song i've notice tat the opening of Wai Po is actually same or rather similar to Ba Wo Hui Lai Le... i remember seeing one of the post in this forum tat Jay will at times have his previous album songs tune compose into his new songs tune... it really is very thoughtful of him to do so like wat other fans said tat his purpose perhaps is to want us to remember his previous work though new work of his had been shown... sorry out of point...

not only "wa po" is related to the G - awards performace, listen carefully to his track number 9 ,"Yuan You Hui",does it sounds familiar to the song "Ke Ai Niu Ren"? :wink2: no wonder fans' expectation are going higher and higher...

I like the first few lines and tune of the Wai po, but when he talks about the losing of the awards thingy, I felt that it doesn't seem to link with the theme of the whole song. Anyway, one cannot keep on winning awards forever, so Jay, don't be too discouraged!!

I got the same feeling in the beginning, and I was like, "hey did he re-copy his songs again? I thought Wai Po is the first time he released his dissappointment about the award in songs." Then checking the date, I realized that it is the preamble for the composition of Wai Po, which I think he intentionally did... lol~~
