Jay forgetting lyrics in live recording?

well i was talking to a friend of mine, and then asked her if she liked Jay. she sed he was alright, but thought he mumbled too much and also forgets the lyrics for songs while singing them. then i asked her how and she sed she had a live recording of him, and there was this bit that he fully mumbled, adn that he forgot the words and got them wrong. anyone ever heard of this happeneing?

yea in qing tian he sing the chorous wrongly and .. in some concert u would change the lyrics if he forgets.. haha

well.. think most pple here hv discussed this thread already.. anyway.. yup jay does has a habit of screwing up w his lyrics at times.. haha.. but he'll just mumble his way through or make up w it w some other lyrics...

he did screw up An Jing during The One concert quite badly.. haha..

heard da broadcast over da radio......
da funny thing is, he was singin something lyke 'y have i forgotten da lyrics again...... lalala......'
changed da lyrics rite on da spot...... quick thinkin

Well, Jay is renowned for forgetting his lyrics during his concerts. However, what makes him special is that he will try to make it up by adding in new lyrics of his own or as someone has mentioned, just coolly 'fess up to forgetting them. I don't really see it as his flaw; on the contrary, I see it as him being a unique performer. By forgetting his lyrics and in the process making up new ones, he is in fact redefining what is meant by singing "live". He's just perfect!! :love:

Anyway, if you want some songs which he kinda forgot lyrics too. Try "Shanghai 1943" and "Why Can't You Speak Clearly" (Jolin's song) from The One Concert in Taipei.

well, jay tends to forget some song lyrics, especially in The One concert...i still remember (i saw the concert from vcd) how he screwed up 'Shanghai 1943','Kai Bu Liao Kou','Jian Dan Ai' and many more...but he managed to make it up by mumbling other lyrics then return to the correct lyrics...this makes him different from other singers and DIAO !

well...i dunt think it is a bad thing that he forgets his lyrics.
Like others have said, it shows Jay's creativiity in making up new ones!
Also, his lyrics arent that easy to remember.
His lyrics, for the most part, are really complicated and he doesnt even have a lot of time to remember them.
Look at the lyrics for the new album, it looks a lot tougher than the lyrics for his previous ones.
I think Jay will definitely have a hard time remembering those.

ya, he does that a lot, but he knows because he is amazed by how his fans can memorize the lyrics and the songs so well. sometimes i don't like the way he mumbles, it kinda ruins some of his songs, I've heard some of his songs from the new album and somehow his mumbling sounds really awkward. But its ok to make these kinds of mistakes, no biggie!

oh yeah he definitely does that. but i find it very cute! hahaha. i mean come on, he has so many albums and stuff you can't expect him to remember every single word! it's his style anyway! :d

its is own "style" if you will. it actually makes the performances more interesting since sometimes i get bored with artists singing perfectly all the time, its like i need something different from the original

i totally agree with you... actually, i think he showed his talents really, by making up the lyrics instantly,... Awe... totally in love with him... :bleh:

oh yeah he does screw up alot of times actuallly =)
but he alwaes covered it up quite well i guess aha he alwaes continued to act cool pretending nothing happened aha
