I just wondering..anyone here love to watch Sailor Moon live series??? Cos my cousin just borrowed me the vcds and i really love it!! Specially cos when i'm still in elementary school i'm a sailor moon mania.. :D buy the comics and collecteing the cards.. and watch the anime..but now they have the real player to play the role!!! :yeah:

hmmm im actually quite curious to see the live action ones! but i dont think i'll like it... even tho i loved the anime when i was little.. i even had posters + cards of em hahaha because i saw a poster of the live action one...and i dunno it doesnt seem the same to me. like the wigs make em look SO fake so its kinda "ehh... -__-;"

Well the live series are really interesting. They have lots of pretty girl. Specially Sailor Mars. I think she is the prettiest. And the one who play as Sailor Mercury also cute.

Vicky, the one who is soooooo cute is the guy play as Tuxedo Kamen or Chiba Mamoru. He is sooo cute. But i dunno his real name since i can't read Japanese and all the site about Sailor Moon is on Japanese.. :wacko:

Yeah i collect lots of cards when i was a kid. I remembered that i loved Sailor Neptunus the mos. And in the anime series she have the green hair and play the violin. That's why i wnat to see her in the live version. But i've only saw it until episodes 30. Dunno how will it be in the end...

I think they have same plot with the anime one. But this is live one and pretty more interesting although the fighting part kinda weird.. cos they're not actually kicking..gosh..

Oh gosh...Sailormoon was one of my favourite cartoons!I watched it almost every week (it was only shown once a week,and that was on every Sunday :cry: ). My fave character was Sailor Mercury (the girl with short blue hair is Sailor Mercury,right?Cant really remember :oops: ). During primary school, we sorta have this sailormoon fever in our class, and me and my friends,each of us was nicknamed after the characters in Sailormoon..and i was Sailor Mercury :rolleyes: ,hehe..becoz back then my hair was as short as sailor mercury's.One of my friends was being called Sailor Moon becoz she had the same hairstyle as S.Moon (we called it "bun hair" :tongue: ).
It was fun watching the cartoon, and i especially liked the music that was being played everytime this Tuxedo Kamen, appeared. :D .It's so sad that this cartoon is not being aired here anymore... :cry:

Oh i never knew they had a live series of sailormoon.. :oops: Um...must have got lots of pretty girls and good looking guys in it. :angel:

Their hair colors in the live series sorta irked me.
Was the hair dyed or were those wigs?
I know it tried to keep the cartoonish/animeish/mangaish style, but the hair colors weirded me out a bit.

Scarletwillow... i think they use wig for the hair. I don't like the blue hair when Mercury changed..kinda weird. But maybe they use it because in the anime one they have different hair color..so just make it more like anime..

Ooo.. lol. I was a big Sailor Moon fan back then and I still love the anime. I also have some vcds of other episodes they haven't translated in English but it's in Cantonese. I found everything so cute about it. I've seen some of the Sailor Moon Live Action. I find it pretty okay considering they're trying to pull off effects better off left to animation. I don't really like the colorful wigs either. But the girls and Tuxedo Mask look so cute in real life without all that stuff, maybe I'll post some pictures up of the actual people who play them if anyone wants to see.

oooh... i loved sailormoon! :D i used to watch it on TV once a week here. even taped it. then they had reruns. :tongue: it was in english though. =0 i also caught a few episodes on tape that's dubbed in cantonese. i didn't know there was a live version. :? this brings back memories. i had some sticker cards. my friends printed out a calendar for me. i even drew some characters for fun. :blush:

it's tooooo cute. All the scouts are very cute and Tuxedo Mask is hot enough, methinks. although i doubt anyone can fullfill the expectations i had of him as a 3rd grader, back in the days. o^^o
But the cats. they scary me. first they're puppets, then they're really crappy cg.

I loved Sailor Moon when I was little. I mean OBSESSED nearly, I learned how to read chinese simply for the fact that I can read Sailor Moon comics.

Now when I look back, the plot line, characters and style probably caters to younger kids. It's interesting to watch now for nostalgic appeal but I don't think I'd interested at all if I didn't used to be a fan.

My favorite was Sailor Saturn. hahah

@_@ there are a live action series..? i saw an article in the newspaper with a picture of someone dressed as sailormoon, but i thought it was just cosplay. anyways, i love sailormoon. haha. sailor moon is actually my favorite character. XD cuz i'm a ditz too, and besides she gets Darien >_< haha...i've copied all the episodes when i was little, bought like 2 of the movies and some of the manga, and collected stickers and cards. i would get mad when i missed an episode. i was obsessed. haha. well, anyone who hasn't seen it yet, i recommend it. =D everyone remembers the sailormoon craze at my school. it's funny when me and my friends reminisce about the past, sailormoon is one of our favorite topics to talk about...haha.

I think the show is ok, I mean its pretty hard to transform a cartoon into a real show, especially a fantasy-genre one. Some aspects are pretty bad though, eg. the "monsters" are just guys in suits, and the cat's just a plush toy. Plotwise, it follows closely to the anime, so some of you guys should be familiar with what is happening.

My favourite is sailor mars. she's a priest though :dry: And all the actors are probably only 16 years old. Anyway, Ive only watched a couple of episodes, but I'm gonna go watch some more very soon! :D

Well in the live series..Luna is a cat but because she got the light from the diamond in sailor Moon body..she get the power to transform herself and help other sailor too.

Artemis also is in the live series as sailor Venus cat. And in the live series..sailor Venus is the leader from all the sailor.

Well in the comics, Luna speaks too. So i think that's why they made Luna can speak in the anime. Well Sailor Venus is the captain from all other Sailor except sailor Moon cos sailor Moon is Princess Serenity. Other sailor's job are to protect the princess from bad things.

I dunno wether they're going to have Sailor uranus and pluto too.. i've just watch it until act 35 :sweat:

Someone told me, and I can't remember if she was from this forum or not, but they screwed up the original so much (ie, Sailor Stars are trannies and not just dressing up as boys) that the guy who does the Sailor Moon manga refuses to ever again let anyone make an anime out of it.

I liked Darien aka Tuxedo Mask or Mamoru bwu ha ha ha. Yeah, a man that hot looking should be ban from TV, cause he was down right hot. And sure he was a jerk, but he was a sweet jerk. That and he was hot and he looked good, and I do mean real good in a costume.

And I loved Rei aka Sailor Mars. Cause she didn't take BS from anyone and she had great hair. Yeah and I loved Queen Beryl and her minions too (they were hot too). She made me wanted to become an evil queen like her!!!! :excited:

she doesnt need her long hair to trip .. she trips anways :whistle: Darien wusn`t really much of a jerk in the manga tho ... *DIC totally messed up sailormoon in the US cuzz they hadda dubb a whole lot.. like sailor uranus n neptune were lesbians .. n not cuzzins .. sailor star lights were men but turned into women when they transformed in the anime .. but in the manga they`re women.. :worry: OH and also Malechite(Kunzite) & Zoisite were both males n gay in the manga but in the DIC version Zoisite was a female .. and Fish Eye is a homosexual that falls in love with mamoru .. its so weird.. denno why naoko(?) takeuchi wrote it like that :hmm: and the graphics for DIC suck (well.. some parts like in the first series...)

regardless of wat the US dub i think everyone could tell uranus n neptune were lesbians. i didnt kno they were portrayed as cousins though.

I don't think she was anybody's kid mad_doi. I think she's like the final form of Sailor Moon just embodied in that form.

though I'm not 100% sure on this too because I saw the series a very very long time ago when i was still a kid. So someone please correct me but I am pretty sure she's nobody's kid.

You'd figure with the population of japanese people who has given us hot looking guys to drool on over the past would produce something better than that twig (yes that twig with overgrown hair) as Darien. Darien deserves to be played by a suitable guy that would live up to his great handsomeness. My heart's just a bit bitter at how they butcher Darein like that. -_-

i'm a big sailormoon anime fan, haven't seen the live action though. would like to, just to see what the hype is about.

Msv, maybe you can search other japanese actor who is suit to act as Mamoru and sent it to the producer so maybe they can change the actor :whistle: lol..Japan have lots of cute actor but i don't think Takuya Kimura suit to act as mamoru.. :rolleyes:

Hmm, maybe I could if I wasn't so busy w4t3r_lily but think about costing budgets: more money to hire a well known actor, thus affecting other parts of the series as well (props, other actors pays, contract entanglement etc.) and not to mention would well known actor actually star in this series? All that you must take into consideration. :whistle:

Anyhoo, back to Sailor Moon and how great and awesome she is and the romance in the series and drool over mamrou and even Rei's legs for some of us!!!!!!!!!!!! :bounce:

y must the anime tease by showin a little of jupiter's butt as she transforms or when she fought against nehelenia or however u spell her name. they always show jupiter's butt or her underwear for some reason. no one else's i think.

I just saw act 1. i dont kno whether i should continue watching this series or stop now. this was so funky. im so torn n confused if i should dl the next episode.

the girl that plays sailor moon isnt cute like the anime sailor moon. n i kno by saying this im just bad as some of u complaining about how bad tuxedo mask is in this series.

luna is actually a plush toy when inanimate. she is 3D when she otherwise. i dont think i got any beef with luna.

they changed some aspects of moon's tools though which i thought was interesting. instead of using her pen to change into other ppl she now has a cell phone (n of course it had to b PINK), her pink stick i think she uses w/ the brooch to transform into a sailor looks like a big pink tampon. :bleh: moon actually uses her crescent rod already rather than her tiara to battle.

its not bad. the first scene was actually a little battle b/w tuxedo mask n sailor v. so there was a little action. something the anime lacked in was fighting. i dont kno y sailor v was holding a little moon crescent though.

usagi's mom is just as bad. they're silly. y is she still not finished w/ usagi's lunch when she knos usagi is late? n then they both just start watchin tv when usagi is still late? lol.

Well, i used to watch SM when i was living in Panama :-) And it was many years ago! :?

Anyway i'm still in the mood of watching those because i like animes! :brows: But the TV channel in HK doesn't have the program... anyway SM is a good memory of my earlier times! :excited:

Yeah this is so silly but her mom only appear twice or 3 times during the 35 acts that i have watched. I think they want to make sure that we all know that Usagi's mom is funny :dry:

in the 1st eps sailor v is battling tuxedo mask. her weapon of choice is a small moon crescent. y does she have this moon crescent as a weapon? moreover, her whole costume looks as if she was sailor moon but on the tele it said she was sailor v?

im finally dl episode 2 after many failed attempts w/ several torrents. 16 hours n i am 27.1% done.

off topic but....IM SO EXCITED. im gonna go to jays concert in la. just need to buy tickets next wk. hopefully ill get good center seats.

Well Sailor V as you all know is actually sailor Venus. And she wear almost the same kind of uniform just like sailor oon but she have the mask on her face and also the tiara on her hair. To make sure that enemy thinks that she is the princess. :happy:

man eps 2 really reminds me of the power rangers. queen beryl reminds me of the other queen on PR (wats her face?...the one w the cones on her head like madonna had cones had on her boobs). then theres the secret room the sailor scouts have now (which is something new).

the lady that play queen beryl is a believable queen beryl. she looks like the anime version somewat. i dont know bout the other evil guy though. he looks really weird w the blonde hair.

i guess that thing about sailor v is true but queen beryl recognized sailor moon before sailor v. so that defeats the purpose cause sailor v has been there longer than sailor moon.

i hope the concert goes good. i want to see jay n i hope the seats i have have a good view. at least if u go to the Spore one u have a better chance of seein a special guest.

I don't know if I should buy it. I know a friend who love Sailor Moon very much. She brought it home and get a few friends to watch it with her. Then, they switched it off when they found out that its X-rated. Sailor Moon was totally naked. I don't know which title was it. She did not tell me, because she feel uncomfortable about it.

i personally find it quite odd to see Sailormoon with black hair in the beginning but ended up finding blonde hair on the actress playing Sailormoon weird haha.
