[2nd Annual Games] Congratulations to CS!

The final game results are out, bringing us to the conclusion of the entire games.

Congratulations to CS for winning MPG @ JCNET and the entire 2nd annual games.

Some highlights of Game 4:
DK won best overall followed by CS, KANR, LQP
Best Propaganda - DK
Best Mud-slinging speech - CS
Best Persuasive Speech - KANR


Here's my abridged review of the speeches if you care to read, and thanks for playing along, I'm sure JCNET is bound for great prosperity in the coming year with the new group in power. :D


I feel overall that DK did a wonderful job in propaganda and the speeches, and therefore get the overall best award. Their propaganda was consistent and varied, only closely rivaled by CS. The speeches were very well done, in terms of content and delivery. This is not to say I believe that their solutions and mudslinging were persuasive, it just means they were well written.

One of the main faults with their speeches was that it was too comprehensive. Many of you know me as the type of person who likes it when you get straight to the point. Tell me what I need to know FIRST, then elaborate as necessary. I felt, especially in their mudslinging speech, I was being given life lessons rather than hearing what they had to say about their opponents.

In terms of propaganda, it was a competition between CS and DK. I felt overwhelmed by KANR's pinkness. While it is their official color, I would have been more impressed if they had incorporated other colors than being so obvious. For example, with DK and CS, you could tell what their group colors were, but they had many other products that helped "neutralize" any sense of color overload.

WMZY had a unique idea, but not enough varying products as the other groups, same with SA. LQP had a very funny campaign no surprise. But I felt they spent too much time on making condoms. I mean are JCNET-ers that promiscuous? I think that's the wrong message to send to new citizens, many of whom are still children.

The persuasive speeches by CS, DK, WMZY were too generic. CS didn't go into much detail as the other groups, and I don't think they even addressed the funding scarcity we are facing (that is, how do we RAISE money, not just reduce spending). I felt DK's solutions were too extravagent and only looks good on paper, but when implemented, will either fail or cause more havoc socially, and definitely economically. Much of it sounded like something from a science fiction novel, and I highly doubt many of the JCNET citizens are willing to turn our peaceful countryside into a digital metropolis. WMZY's solutions again were too generic and bland, it just did not strike out at me as the others did. I mean getting rid of the Grandma Syndrome by simply writing Mr. Chou to get rid of his clothes...and the citizens will be paying for these kinds of leaders? Let's all write letters to the leechers and make them go away too, get my point? The actual contest was between LQP and KANR.

LQP: The mass spraying by air to rid tabloidosis scares me; the guarantee that food will be still safe to eat is highly unbelievable. As we all know how fatal tabloidosis can be, anything strong enough to rid of it, must be strong enough to rid other things too. However their idea to screen food and allocate land to grow organic foods looks promising. I'm happy at the thought of having monthly subscription fees in connection to ridding the country of the Grandma Syndrome. Killing 2 birds with one stone seems like an efficient solution. Their proposal to rid JFN also gets my stamp of approval. However, their leeching agenda frightens me as it puts JCNET on the brink of war with neighboring countries.

KANR: This group however take an entirely opposite approach than that of LQP known as "Dynamic Reformation of Love." Their only downfall is that they don't expand on such issues as the Grandma Syndrome, only claiming that they won the Jay Makeover contest this year grants them much expertise in the area. And surprisingly so, is very convincing. While JCNET and it's current government is very well known as suspiciously heading towards the direction of extremists, a reformation towards a peace loving and goodwill administration may prove the antidote to oppression currently suffered by citizens.

SA: Deserves a special recognition for their efforts. I really enjoyed the video as it was a welcoming diversion from the speeches. I felt it said everything that needed to be said in pictures, and was straight to the point. However, the lack of expansion on ideas cost them greatly.

I don't have much to say for the mudslinging, many of the groups followed the same formula of attacking the obvious (KANR's cuteness, DK's diao obsession, LQP eating animals, etc..). I just really liked CS's because they were consistent in the time they dedicated to each group. And also they provided visual proof. I think many of the groups looked at this contest as who can make up the worst accusations, while that's part of it, the speech must also be convincing. I think the best came from CS and LQP (because their's was funny). As I said before, DK's was too "preachy"... WMZY's and KANR's were too obvious and paled in comparison to the others, and SA only had the video, if they had accompanied it with a speech, it might have had a chance.

Congratulations to CS definately! The teamwork and consistency you guys showed were amazing! (especially post-a-thon hehee). And to the rest of the groups, there's always next year and you guys all did amazing too.

But aside from congratulations to CS, I want to give a big hug to my fellow LQPers. The games sure took a toll on us, but we always pulled through! Even though we didn't win, getting to know everyone during the process made the whole games so much better too! I'm looking forward to next year though haha. :D

I just want to point our a few highlights of the games and say a few things, to hopefully leave you smiling even though we didn’t come out on top!
Remember all our late night trying to think of ways to combat the spreading Ke Ai's cuteyness which was fast overtaking the forum and kind of drowning out our whole 'im going to slaughter you with a butchers knife than fry you up and eat you' approach. All those times cats got wasted on alcoholic milk and catnip and ended up on the floor mumbling things about 'umbrellas...popsickles and waxmullets'! Maisee's internal battle coming to terms with her actual gender and her hidden attachments to a certain cow that was having commitment problems. Pei's eternal race against the clock 'NEED TO MAKE MORE THREADS NEED TO MAKE MORE THREADS' I have one thing to say to you THE ONETH WHO KEEPETH US ORGANIZED! We owe thee so much!
And remember how much fun Fei had undressing jay in Photoshop! Yes the 'keep jay naked foundation' SHALL LIVE ON! And fei’s secret is out.. We all now know she has a dirtier mind than even vunsin... but we love her for it!
Even when I discovered my true identity - lattaes secret love child that she sold as a baby to a group of Yemeni slave drivers... its no wonder im scarred! :cry:
And Chun Li you truly are the epitome of LQP! Ha ha ha in the end it was you who came up with our slogan and all the things that kept us laughing! We will always have the dragon diao AND the Long Quan Bitch slap on our side thanks to you! The one we love to call leader!
And all you others we all had out highlights. Too many to state but my point is we had fun didn’t we???

RAHHH~~~

And I say congrats to all the other groups too!! Every group has amazed me with the amazing talent, creativity, and united effort that's been shown. How about when the site kept crashing in the Post-a-thon?!? Hahaha. I'm really glad that members in all groups, enjoy the same kind of closeness I feel with LQP.
