I think Jay's success is nothing without the two of them....I think we must not forget the two of them.....A pity Vivian doesn't have any works on the 8D album...

While Fan Wen Shan writes meaningful lyrics, Vivian writes great love songs!

ahh... i think vincent fong deserves way more credit than vivian hsu.

after all, he is his OFFICIAL lyricist.. vivian just wrote a few songs for jay just because their friends.

and vincent & jay are true "partners". vincent is much better at writing deeper lyrics than vivian too. vivian's songs are good.. but dang vincent's lyrics are just crazy.

Personally I love Vivian's lyrics, I like Vincent's too, but I think he's better at writing more up tempo kinds of songs. I like the lovey romantisized lyriced songs just because I'm a sap for songs like that, but don't get me wrong though I love the more upbeat songs just as much ^___^

lol you gusy are funny. anyway yea fang wen shan (vincent) is very talented as well - his lyrics are fabulous. its really great to find a nice song with some great lyrics to go with. and they're not the typical i love you type (for example 'ban shou ren' - half monster man, or wei lian gu bao - william's castle). but yea i really like them working together hehe. fang wen shan is a great lyricist especialy when him and jay bring about new topics to transform into music.
by the way jay writes great lyrics too...hehe cant forget him. for example, i really like wu ding (rooftop), and an jing

for fang - i think his lyrics r out of the world...but when he dedicates his lyrics to love songs like "ai zai xi yuan qian"...wooh~ power packed...deep lyrics to bring out a more special meaning of love in the era...

yeah! I totally agree with NiknJay.

Vivian may have some dark mark from the past, but i think her lyrics are really good for love songs. The lyrics for jian dan ai were really sweet and heartwarming while long juan feng is so "heart pulling". (plus I like her acting. :p )

But Fang Wen Shan is definitely the tops. His lyrics are so mind blowing! He gets my thumbs up! :clap:

They are both really good!! And together with Jays music...no wonder the songs are so great!

Vivians lyrics are so romantic..very touching. Cant speak and Tornado and simple love....all my favourites.

And vincents are more surreal..if thats the word to use, very good lyricist. The words always have deeper meaning. And in a way, turn out to be romantic too.

Jays very good aswell though, but he uses numbers a lot. And credit to him for writing Silence and Fen lie! :happy:

Fang Wen Shan is one important person for Jay's career. I admit that Fang Wen's lyric is superb. The thing that caught me into Jay's songs is not only the music, but the wonderful poetic fantasy-type lyrics. I always admire poetry in any kind, and when I look for Jay's lyrics and their translations, I went WOW. :bow: Tis song is not only have a nice melody, but has a powerful lyric. What else would you want from a song? It's all here, in the package of all Jay's albums. :)

Vivian's lyric is also very very good. She made a very good lyrics for love songs. My all time favorite of her lyric would be Kai Bu Liao Ko and Jian Dan Ai. I really think se should write lyrics for some more Jay's songs. I really miss her romantic-innocent lyric.

But I won't say Jay is nothing without Fang Wen Shan or Vivian. Don't forget that Jay do write lyrics too, and good ones too. I personally love An Jing, Shi Jie Mo Ri, and Hei Se You Mo. It's a very honest lyric and very sentimental one, yet composed beautifully. And Fang Wen Shan's lyric doesn't seem too outstanding if it's paired with a lousy music, trust me!! Vivian did write a lyric for Vanness, and I don't seem to like the song that much because the melody is sooo monotone and boring. But what happened when Vivian lyric goes to Jay's music. BAM!!! Masterpiece!

So both the lyricist and the musician is depended on each other. And Fang Wen Shan and Jay is like the best pair ever. And now, I really think that Fang Wen Shan only write lyrics for Jay's songs. Maybe because he knows that his lyrics could be appreciated more if it's combines with great music such as Jay's. So anyway... Fang Wen Shan is great but the man behind his greatness would still be JAY. :happy:

i dont really like vivian, but i have to say that she wrote some nice lyrics for jay. but vincent is still his "partner", the chemistry between them is so there. and vincent definitely has great talent, plus creativity. vincent fang wan sui!

fang wen shan comes up with the most beautiful lyrics, he's a really gr8 writer and all his songs have these really gr8 meanings. vivian hsu also writes gr8 love songs which r really sweet. however, i've got her new album in chinese and not many of her own songs are that good... maybe she used up all her talent on jay?

Sorry but I don't think much of Vivian Hsu's lyrics. Anyone can write them. But Vincent Fang's stuff... my favourite is Shuang Dao.

Read his poetry in the Ban Dao Tie He book, don't just look at the awesome photos. I think his poetry is far better than his lyrics. :)

Yes! Vincent Fang is diao! I simply can't understand what's he trying to say. It's like there alot of hidden meaning before the simple lines as well. He's great! No wonder he's partnered with Jay. 2 diao guys.. :laughing:
