ever wondered.. if you were going to jay's concert..fan meeting.. or had the chance to meet jay, what would you give him? (if you were planning to at all of course)
not the typical.. flowers... or teddy bear... but something really special, so that he'll remember you.
yeah i didn't even bother to think of a gift idea for jay's concert because i thought i wouldn't have a chance to give it to him. but i have thought of gifts and gotten them for other concerts i've been to tho.
if i had the cash i would just give jay the white piano he wants :p but i don't, but i do have another "perfect" gift idea up my sleeve.
so what would you guys want to give to jay?

the print out of " signs of deep jay obsessions" threads.
An Indonesian magz that has him as cover - that will surprise him !.
I want him to know more about Indonesia, so maybe : CD : Indonesian top 10 pop, traditional music. Traditional music instrument angklung (bamboo).
And oh for the fun of it : sarong and sendal jepit (flip flops)- Indo men homewear. Well, I saw Beckham did wear sarong once (must be designer one tho')
maybe i'll give him something made by myself....

well, i have been thinking bout this for along time, i want to give him a cap with "long" image at it. i saw one!!!! dunno the reason, or maybe basketball full of his indonesian fans' autograph!!

well, there's a very special gift my friend once gave to me on my birthday, and i thought that one day i'd give the same thing out to a good friend in the future as well. It's nothing expensive, just a box, and inside is many decorated and folded paper cranes and some beads at the bottom of the box. Each paper crane consists of a sentence or so, and it's for whenever you're feeling bad or feeling depressed, a little word of encouragement is inside, i think it's a quite special and unique gift.
and ahaha, if i could afford to get him a ticket to Europe, i'd buy myself a ticket first to visit him :p

a key to my house..haha no not like *dat* haha..just so that he has somewhere to crash when he comes to cali..somewhere to hang out..and this journal i have..it has a bunch of stuff on jay..why i love him..his lyrics [chinese.english.han yu pin yin] and how his music has helped me when i was feeling rilli depressed..he's touched my life and made it better..he's my superman

wow! all of you guys are soo thoughtful! i like the box idea with the cranes...
i've thought about this before, and i thought drawing a picture of him -- this picutre would be a flattering one -- on a card and inside the card write how his music has inspired me to study music etc etc and how fans from all over the world will support him no matter what. yea, the contents would be something very touching.......maybe bring tears to his eyes! aahaha!
hmm, if i had connection, i'd get yao ming to have a basket ball match with jay....hahah!
oh, i love the "signs of deep jay obession'' idea! so diao! i bet he'd be soooo flattered eh?

I think that I would send him a mystery puzzle. I give him clues that will guide him around the world, until he ends up at a place where he will fall deeply in love with. Like the basketball court! Haha.
Come to think of it, I really do not know what to send him. I will prolly send him some pictures of me going crazy waiting to get into concert, searching outside the hotel of the MGM looking for limos so maybe I can spot him, or even go back to the restaurant where Jay actually sat. I have them all on camera. But first I gotta go find it, see if it's printed out yet. Ahaha.

hehe OMG.. if i had knew about this forum WAY before the vancouver concert.. i would not have been so like @#%$#^#%&#&% before the concert.. dooode i was like up day and night.. well i still slept.. but i used up like ALL OF MY brain power to think of something for him.. i thought of soooo much.. cuz i had the chance of being one of the "50 ppl to give him flowers" or whatever.. so i thoughta buying him a cap.. but since he has so many didn't wanna get one he already had.. a NICE basketball, a SEATTLE SONICS jersey.. NICE BBALL shoes.. didn't know his size, too much $.. so i ended up buying him a dark blue with baby blue "HEELS" written in the front of a jordan hoodie sweatshirt.. HOPING THAT HE'D WEAR SOMETHING I BOUGHT HIM!!!! (^_^) that thought just made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.. hehehehehe.. then my friend suggested that i could design my own jersey for him and make it with his last name in the back (^_~) DIAO or wHAT!?

i would go up to jet li (we live close to each other.. in the same area) and give him all of jay's album and tell him how jay is a big fan of him and then i would ask him to autograph one of his movies for jay... then i would give it to jay.
of course then theres all the generic gift ideas... making him a pillow..a hat with his name on it... if i could.. i would get bball shoes autographed by yao ming...

:roll: We don't live on the same street or anything haha no big deal. The houses over there are alright... I guess sorta big..? Medium size I would say. Houses more upward than where Jet Li lives are bigger.. and houses a few blocks away are bigger too.

Jay likes Yo yo ma (i read it somewhere) so perfect gift idea, in my opinion, would be to buy him a bigggg collection of yo yo ma's cd's and also to buy him concert tickets to go see him perform :) I am sure Jay would love seeing his idol!
Another good present (way cheaper) would be to buy him a nice basketball.... hehe...
last idea : I have a kung fu stick at home so maybe I can give mine to him.....let him practice instead!

HMM......prolly a plane ticket 4 him 2 come to ny. i could be his guide n show him the one of the greatest cities in the world!!! cuz he was disappointed in LV cuz he was locked in his hotel n couldn't go out. i'd take him sightseeing, shopping, to lunch(imagine watching him eat!!!! lol),
then we can hit the beach! (ya this is just an excuse 2c him 1/2 naked).

since I went to another Taiwanese singer's concert last month, I start thinking of this question. How if jay come here and held a fans-gathering or mini concert here? I thought it for quite some time and come up with : a long rapper style necklace with "xuang jie gun" pendant. extra thing is a hand-carved "diao" word on one side of the xuang jie gun and his name on the other side. Isn't it damn diao? butttt...if I had enough $$$..:P
thought I have to save my pocket money then....
This is the only thing I can think about...He can wear it everywhere and everybody can see it....if there's an autograph party, I will bring my dad's basketball and ask him to sign on it. hey....^^ thats a grea idea...the paper cranes lol....very creative and unique...he mite like it too hehe....well...personally i don't know wut to get him...i think a cap would be okay...those caps that he likes....but again JUST the cap is a lil too plain -_-;;;; so maybe something to go along wid it...like...a shirt?!...lol....his style kind of casual shirt....lol....^^;;; hehe....who knoz he mite wear it lol....yea since he plays the cello....i could find a piece of cello music that im familiar wid...and play and record...and say something like..its dedicated to him and give it to him lol ( i play the cello...jay is like my motivation KIND OF...lol but of course i wanted to play the cello in the first place lol ) hope that he'll like that...lol :blush:

If i had the chance (and the $$$) to go to his concert and was able to sit real close to him, I think i would give him a bottle of mineral bottle, tied with a card that wrote my name and no (Hope he can contact mi!! hahah...it's so hard to think of a gift for him since he can afford almost everything now....i was once obsessed over a DJ when i was attending junior high and high school...and i folded him 2,100 paper cranes for him for his 21th birthday....and i didn't let anyone help me....100 cranes for one year of his age....i think you have to put the time to make something for him....but it took me so long to fold them...my friends still made fun of me of how crazy i was....maybe if i were to give jay something...i would fold him maybe a million stars hahah since it's not so hard to fold stars....i mean i fold two thousand cranes why not a million stars? it is possible all u have to do is spent one month non stop folding it...hahah!! well...it's a thought...but to make urself stand out? yup....
