An epic chronicle of the triumphs and tragedy of the legendary Trojan War, Troy begins as the passion of two of history's most legendary lovers, Prince Paris of Troy (Orlando Bloom) and Queen Helen of Sparta (Diane Kruger), ignites a war between the Trojans and the united tribes of Greece. When the two civilizations clash, legendary warrior Achilles (Brad Pitt) emerges as the key to the Greeks' victory or defeat over the seemingly invincible walls of Troy.

So anyone gonna see, oh yeah and is rated "R" cuz of naked bodies, espeically brad pitt's hehe. though there r great battle scenes,
however i haven't seen it, though heard some people went for it just to seen brad pitt' nakeness.hehe while one friend recomment is okay just to see it once. plus got orlando bloom in it, yummy. :shifty: :wink2:

It's not rated R here cause the most 'exciting' parts are all censored away  ... But it's a good show anyway. The ending was a bit abrupt though... oh and Brad pitt is ermm.. delicious... :D

I love Brad s BUTT , this movie is worth to see for me :shifty:

it is so rated R, for graphic violence and some sexuality/nudity.

Oh I think it's such a good movie as it's d legend. :hmm: And I don't think it's rated R movie at all, u actually pay much attention on Brad Pitt's butt and his muscle body. Achilles is d great warrior along with sensation falling in love with princess of Trojan and sensible for getting fight.

BTW the character of Orlando make me pissed, its like i wanna kick his ass when he screw up TROY

I have to say that d character of Orlando also makes me pissed of but bcoz of he's so weak at d first part of d movie (loser), too young for d war, don't know anything bout fighting  And I think who really screw up Troy is d king (of Troy) himself allow d horse to come in :-x That's real tragedy !!

I saw the movie too....pretty cool! But I wouldnt watch it again...just too long..and i didnt like THAT much..
troy was rated for older than 14 here...
yeah..and Brad Pitt was perfect! But who I really liked was Hector (great actor) and the only one that i really liked...=P

I saw the movie and i liked it but i wouldn't go and watch it again. The movie isn't R rated here...it's for 15+. Brad Pitt has a really nice body for a 40 something year old. I wonder how long it took him in the gym?

BTW the character of Orlando make me pissed, its like i wanna kick his ass when he screw up TROY

I totally agree with that. I like Hector the most and what happened to him in the end made me angry at Paris....it should have been Paris instead :-x . He is useless anyway. Overall, the biggest mistake was when King Priam (of Troy) didn't listen to both his sons. First he didn't take Hector's advice not to attack at dawn and because of that, it gave Achilles a reason to stay. Second was when Paris asked him to burn the Trojan horse and he didn't.

Well yea I watched it a few weeks ago... and I thought the last part where they tricked them into bringing in the trijan horse was a little bit too rushed.. And then ending too.. But I guess that would add excitement to it... But at the part where the priest told the king to bring it in as it was an offering from the gods I was like NONONONO you damn priest WTH are you saying!!

But it was a great movie nonetheless. ;)

:excited: Woohoo! I'm not the only one that thought Brad Pitt's butt was something really awesome. Now, that's what a guy's butt should look like :brows:

Actually, the one main reason I went to see Troy was because I'm a huge fan of Orlando Bloom. But in the end, I walked away with a new-found respect for Brad Pitt. The only other movie I liked him in was Meet Joe Black. But his portrayal of Achilles was one of his best performances ever.

Paris' character was really lacking I thought...and it takes alot for me to say this since I adore Orlando Bloom. But I didn't really like Hector that much but the one character I liked the most was Achilles. I think the fact that he can be so harsh and violent but then be so caring and gentle towards Briseis - that's such a contradiction but an accurate depiction of human nature that his character appealed to me alot. And how much did it suck that they didn't even end up in the end?! I mean, I knew Achilles was gonna die in the end but the way it ended was so sad and almost frustrating. But what Achilles said at the end:

"You've given me peace in a lifetime of war"

That made me cry  How sweet was that?

I think Priam was an idiot, listening to his ministers instead of his sons but I guess we have to understand the beliefs of the Trojan people in that time - their respect for the Gods and so on.

Overall, I thought it was a pretty good movie - not as violent as I expected - but suprisingly touching. It lived up to the hype though...7/10 stars for me.

Er..Honestly I don't like it that much  ..I almost slept watching it coz it was soooo long  ...but I appreciate the story none the less (But I'm not sure if it's the true version though..I'm into reading Greek myths actually...but watching them is another story  ) And Brad Pitt was sooooo sexy in it I can't resist gaping at *it* And errr~ I din';t actually now Paris was such a chicken...hmmm...and Helen...guess she liked Hector quite a bit  ..hehe...nah....

All in all I give it a 7 if I rate it from one to 10...LOL~ not bad eh :brows: ?

OMG!!! I LOVE IT SOOOO MUCH!!!!!1 i went to see it with a friend, after hearing that it was crap, my expectations werent that high but it blew me away!!! :excited:
first of all, BRAD PITT IS SO DAMN HOT I ALMOST DROWNED EVERYONE IN THE CINEMA WITH MY DROOLING!!!! i kept gawking at the siz of all the guy's muscles!!! WOW BABY!!!!
and paris? what a coward! when his head was about to b cut by helen's husband (lol, did anyone notice that he was twice as big a orlando? :D ) i was cringing and going, 'oh, fight back, fight back.' and then he ran away and i was like, 'WHAT?!' i'd rather he had his head cut off then be such an idiot!

and also, HECTOR SHOULD NOT HAVE DIED!!!!! i almost cried cause my two fav characters in the movie were fighting each other and i didnt want either of them to die!!! gosh, brad is soooo hot!!!!!!! did anyone notice that hector's kid looked nothing like its parents? :shifty: i sense an affair...lol

Yeah, even though the movies was almost 3 hours long, i think it moved just a tad too quickly. i mean, it was so quick! and the priests were SO STUPID!!! anyone notice that everytime in the movie the princes actually suggested they do something (which would've saved troy) the priests would b like, 'no no no, we should do this' i wanted to jump up and strangle them! SHUT UP U OLD BAGS!!!!!!

anyone see that trick the trojans did with the fire and the grass balls rolling down the hill! SO CLEVER!!! :)
and honestly, i couldnt believe they let the horse into troy (we've all heard the story b4, but seeing it made my blood boil, how could u b so STUPID?!!!!!!) 'oh no, it's a symbol from the god, we should take it into the city. ARGH!!!! STUPID OLD PRIEST!!!!!!!!!!!

wow, i loved it so much i wanna c it again!!! 11 out of 10! :D

ummmm is it just me or should Brad Pitt's character Achilles have been killed via the feet???

cos i remember in Modern History classes when we learned about Greek Mythology that Achilles is actually a demi-god, and the only part of his body that is 'mortal' are his feet...

because when he was a baby his mother dipped him into the 'holy-god wateva' water but held him by his feet, therefore making everypart of his body immortal but his feet....

so howcome HOT SEXY Brad was shot like 5 times in the chest and died???!!!

ummm newais about the movie...hehehe ^^ HOW HOT WAS BRAD??! yes i think all the female viewers gathered that bit....

and yes, i agree Vicluva, Hector shouldn't have died, its all Paris's fault...ah well but Orlando Bloom is a hottie, i would've hated to see him die....

but yeah i really enjoyed the movie, however i would LOVE to see it again because my bf took me to see it a few weeks ago when he had tonilitis...so i was looking after him throughout most of the movie....

and yes brad pitt was so romantic wasn't he? except for the bits where he flung her away.....aiiiiiii........

i saw this movie, and i thk its quite nice.... although this is the famous story about the "giant wooden horse" but the main story is about the pride of the prince and archilles... hmm.. if hector did not die, the story is not so interestin already.... hector and archilles, one must die.... as chinese says, a mountain cannot have two tiger.... :)

Thx for d new knowledge  I never know bout that bfore, not deep much about Greek I have learned  So that's very nice shot for Paris (who always skrew up everything) but bad decision to shoot, this scene I cry for

of couuurse! its worth it definitely! but after almost 3 hours, you can split out of there when the credits start rolling because they picked the horribl-est song ever! all this stuff builds up to the dramatic ending, and i hear the end credit song, and i'm suddenly like - whaaat??? did any of you guys think the same thing?

princess bobo: he did get shot in the feet! didnt u c it? when he went to pick up that girl (cant remember her name, started with a 'P') Paris got an arrow and shot him and it hit the back of his ankle, remember? then he got shot in the chest and died. i still think they should've had some explanation in the movie bout the water thingy, i knew about it, but if a person who is very ignorant of the greek myth had watched they'd b like :?

ok picking on technicality, but it wasn't his feet, it was the heel of his feet, hence the condition known as "Achilles Heel"
But about the movie, I thought it bleh...the thing I hate about well-known stories is that you already know the ending. The only surprise is how they will portray it. And the acting by the female leads were HORRIBLE. The girl who played Helen needs to go back to acting school. She only had one emotion and look thru out the entire movie.

I don't think there was anything spectacular about it, it was pretty formulaic as far as those type of movies go...

Uh I actually liked that song!! Maybe I'm biased but I love Josh Groban's voice!! I'm considering to buy the soundtrack because of that song. Too bad when I watched the movie, the credits got cut so I didn't catch the rest of that song.

it was a long movie like 3 hours. Brad Pitt looked awesome I have to admit.
Orlando Bloom always seems to pick bad characters to play. I mean after LOTR it all pretty much went downhill.

Oh yeah did anyone esle notice Brad Pitt's HUGE LEGS!! man they was ham legs so big. Brad Pitt made this movie special...so I recommend you see it.

I went to see it with friends and the guy I liked was sitting next to me OMG i was trying not to lose itwhen Brad Pitt came on!! it did get boring the couple in front of us left. The guys were getting bored and we had a popcorn fight that nearly got us thrown out. ....I think I've seen Brad Pitt's butt 3 times now. But hey I'm not complaining.

But seriously the movie was a bit long but worth it.

I liked the movie too! I never had a crush on Brad Pitt but after the movie whoa!
Such a babe! My friends noticed how "different" he was on the movie! :brows:

The movie was like a recap of what I learned in school. Even if I knew the ending, it did not bother me. It even became clearer to me, in a way... In short, it was pretty interesting.

i saw the movie last week, and already knew the ending... so it was just a matter of seeing how the director played the whole story. the advantages were of course Brad Pitt's butt... hahaha... :brows: i would see it again just to see Brad Pitt. i have alwasy liked him, he looks really good in the movies Fight Club, 7 Years in Tibet and Meet Joe Black. such a cutie, and now in a Troy a hottie! at the beginning i did not like him, but when he fell in love with Briseia and was so sweet ... i wanted him for me, even though he is 40 yrs old... i HATE PARIS! such a coward!!!! and the King of Troy too (it is a sign of the Gods, Ah!! blablablaa!!! ) overall it was a good movie, it was long, but it is an epic story...so...
oh, and Eric Bana also looks hot, too bad he died...now, he was the TRUE hero.

the movie was pretty good. i liked it... i especially liked how they presented the whole war... they presented it off a neutral standpoint. or you could argue whether greece or troy was bad. obviously there was one bad tyrant, agamemnon. the second part that i liekd was that eveyrone was a little bit flawed. i mean achilles and his pride, paris and his adultery, etc. but hector was the only pure one. that leads to my third point. i loved how this movie was so anti-war. i mean the best of the men die in war...
and i'd also like to say as this last part, brad pitt is soo hot

o gosh i LOVED that movie... brad pitt looked HOTT! he's the hottest 40 year old guy every.. with that body.. i mainly watched cos of him but the story itself was pretty interesting... Prince Hector was kinda cute though... and helen is extremly pretty .... i've never seen her b4.. yes i agree brad's abs and butt are worth watching.. and hes' extremly sweet with the priestess!

i thought it was a great movie, 3 hrs long and not a dull moment. I do think that it could of been a bit shorter, but it's ok. It was almost 2am by the time I left the theater. I was so mad that Hector died......*sigh* I really thought he was a true hero ...compared to his cowardly brother. What kind of man is Paris?! No courage, no confidence...and no guts! I was pretty mad about that part. Anyways, that's just how life goes....hero's always sacrifice, or else why are they a hero...hehe..

and yes, I must agree with people who said that Brad Pitt's butt is so nice....so true. He is so well built.....

i really liked the movie, especially Brad Pitt! he did a good job! (two thumbs up!)

i just wanna tell you that the movie was different from what the real story was. i read Black ships before Troy and there were many changes. First of all, the story started with the arguement of 3 goddesses. one of them, the goddess of beauty made Paris to fall in love with Helen.

Achilles did die, but not becuase he was rescuing Briseia. In fact, the book never mentioned about a relation between them. Achilles died fighting on battle. It's true that Paris did shoot him on his toe.

So, many people who saw the movie were not happy with the ending because Paris who caused all this tragedy ended alive. Well, in the story he died (wohoo!). Haha, even some people ended hating Orlando Bloom. Hey, i'm not his fan, but i guess he was just doing his job. It's not his fault he had to play the role of an idiot who stole the wife of someone else and blablabla... so don't hate Orlando, hate Paris ^^'.

So, if you guys are really interested to know the true version, read the book i just mentioned :wink2:. That's all i have wanted to say. I'm so upset because i've tried to post this twice! what's wrong with the site!

Didn't really enjoy the show. I guess Return of the King just blew me away and watching Troy didn't give me the same level of enjoyment. Suffice to say, Brad's naked butt and torso was quite sexy. Did anyone else notice that Orlando Bloom had a CONSISTENT brooding look throughout the movie ? And did you also notice that the costume designers managed to design costumes to accentuate and highlight the sexy bods of the lead actors ? Noticed that their broad shoulders, washboard tummies and tight butts were constantly in full view for admiration by the audience.

whoa...brad pitt was like all buff...i read in a magazine that he had to train for a long time to get those muscles showing.

Helen of Troy (i forgot her name) was really pretty. and orlando bloom was cute, but i thought he looked pretty gay in that movie. sorry orlie.

I watched this in the cinema a few years ago, and I thought it was pretty good. Some of the battle scenes were a bit too much, but Brad Pitt, Orlanda Bloom and Eric Bana made up for it. :bleh: Also, Helen is really pretty.

But I really hated Paris in this movie. He had no guts and was so cowardly. I really liked Eric Bana's character though - so brave and heroic. It was sad he had to die. I felt so sorry for Briseia (is that her name). Imagine the man you love killing your own her.

I'll get to watch this movie for History at school, and this time, I'll actually take notice of the plot, and not Brad Pitt's naked scene
