If someone takes away from your reputation and you don't feel it was justified, PM (private message) either myself (http://jay-chou.net/forums/private.php?do=newpm&userid=3) or wackycashew (http://www.jay-chou.net/forums/private.php?do=newpm&u=877). Make sure you include:
1. The link to the post you were rated on
2. Just 1-2 sentences explaining why it was unfair

We cannot guarantee your points are given back, this is just a way to help this system be a little more fair. And to make sure members aren't taking away points just to be mean, out of revenge, or just wanted to be downright annoying.

REMEMBER: When you are giving/taking away reputations, you are rating the POST. Not the individual who made the post.

Just to add to Karen's announcement to address the flip-side of the issue. If we catch anyone abusing the system (either by complaints that we have received from members or being caught in the act), we will not hesitate to reveal to the public who that person is. Your reputation-giving power will be taken away and it is highly likely that you will cease to exist at this site. It is wise not to find out what kind of embarrassment or humilation you will suffer should you choose to behave in an irrational manner.

Also, please note that if you are giving someone negative reputations, you MUST justify your action with a reason. No exceptions and no excuses. And trust that we will find out about it because we have many eyes and ears around the forums.

BOTTOM LINE: If we catch you abusing the reputation system, don't say you weren't warned.
