Z's cd... i remember it came b4 Jay's 8D came out, and while they were playing Z's cd... i thought it was Jay(hoping 8D would have had a early release or sth), although i only heard glimps of it at the store. I actually bought his album, just to get those R'nB itches outta my mind, for waiting for Jay's album too long. Not bad... although, his voice is a little too high. He needs some base in his voice, but.. for a new guy, not bad at all. The dude can write songs too, i think he wrote 1-2 songs in his album.

yup i got his album "May I love You" last summer also, on my trip to taiwan....recently got the album out again and listened to it :D I remember hearing the song "may i love you" at some record store for the first time & thinking...hey this is a good song!! yeah...I like "may I love you" and "without you" and "lian zhu" and recently i've just noticed that "won nien (forget time?!)" is really good too!!!

yeah....i have a special affection for him cuz his first album in taiwan (i think he had another album in malaysia before...) came out during my trip to taiwan...& i saw all his mvs and commericals for his album on tv.... :D i thought it was funny how he's marketed as the "green guy" or somethin....all his mvs are shot in a greenish tone, his album cover is like him wearing green standing in front of a bush....and in the commercials for his album his voice is described as "deep green..."....so that sooner or later he just becomes associated with green....
actually i think his voice does seem...greenish (not knowing whether i really think so or i've been brainwashed by the commercials....)....i donno, cuz his voice has a strange calming quality to it....
haveta admit, first time i saw him i thought he looked rather apeish (if that's a word...), but i donno what SAM LEE looks like.... :?

i don't know about you guys but i'm all for singers like jay and z.chen who do not depend on their pretty boy image to make it into the entertainment scene. someone mentioned earlier that he looks 'ape-ish' and i agree, :D though i'd say 'elf-ish'. but if you listen to 'mei you ni', you can hear him singing his guts out with so much 'feeeeel'. it's pure talent that counts.

if you agree that Z.chen is a good singer and you're thinking abt investing in his album, i strongly recommend the 1st album. ALL the tracks were good.
he sings one of Eric Clapton's (You Look wonderful tonight?) song in the 2nd album - in English... and i didn't quite like that. his diction was ok but Z.chen's voice does not seem to go well singing English, except for his occasional
- "baby, baby ...love can be sooo beautiful.."
- "oh yeah...."
- ..."love you, love you ... may i love you..tell me what to do "

so i'd say THUMS UP for the first album.... but beware of the 2nd. (also did not like the duet... too slow)

I've seen the video for Ling Chen San Dian Zhong a few times and was really attracted to the song...He's quite good...haven't heard all his songs tho but i like all the songs I've heard so far. At times he sounds abit like Craig David...very R&B. His voice is good as well, smooth and not too high.

Can't judge weather his english is good or not cause' I haven't heard him speak in English but I suppose it should be good enough to converse well since he pretty much incorporates some english verses in the right places.

I think he's on good terms with S.H.E too cause i've seen them together in performances and stuff. There are quite a few songs from him available for download in Kazaa if you want more songs from him.

Favourites include: xia ci zai jian, Ling Chen San Dian Zhong, mei you ni, bu ye cheng, Chu Ci Zhi Wai, easy come easy go, Qing Wen Ai Qing, and the Craig David like Ci Xin.

Hey did anyone from Malaysia catch the Astro Talent Quest on Saturday? Z-Chen was there in top form, he sang duets with three of the contestants and and did some performances. I think the third duet was the best. The contestant and z-Chen's voice really blended well together.

hey. new z.chen fan here! i discovered him through the taiwanese series the rose (stars SHE) 3 of his songs were used in the series (chong fang ji mo, forever, and shang kou) and i think he even played as the high school friend of ella there.
being an RnB music lover, i can't help but notice his songs. i was really impressed by his talent and his voice is really nice and relaxing.

i first heard him on the radio. i was listening to it at like 3am and i heard his song "3 am" (how ironic =P). i was like so obsessed over it, but the radio was on playlist so i didn't kno who sang it. i heard it sooo many times and i was like "arrgh i gotta find out who sang it!". then i found his album on solid07. when i saw the song "3am", i like d/l in a sec xD

z chen is great!! i think he is a good singer and i like almost all of his songs!!! I agree that he is only the few artists that have all the songs in their album that are "listenable". Most of other artists only have a couple of good songs and thats about it.

i tried looking for his info on the net to have a closer at his "face". .... but cant find anything! does anyone know his official site? or a good fan site??

i really hope that he will increasingly successful in the future!!

Z Chen rocks!! I got his Save Z Chen cd not long ago and watched the VCD of his live performance before listening to his CD. At first I wasn't too impressed by his covers of Craig David's "Fill Me In" and Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" (although he did a good job on that), BUT it wasn't until he performed "Bu Yie Chun" (is that's how u spell it?) that I really noticed his talent. It's now my fave song of his, really smooth and upbeat. Who knows how to play it on guitar?? I wanna learn it!!!

I just had to mention this, because I think Z Chen's live singing is really good.... anyone went to his campus concert the past Monday at NUS (Singapore)? I was really impressed by his clear and bright vocals, and there was no sign of off-pitches! He was rather humorous too... really enjoyed myself that night. Z Chen's a great singer - do listen to his songs when you guys are free! =)

anyway, i've always enjoyed Z Chen's songs for easy listening. sure his voice is clear and singing is great, but i think the thing that he lacks in compared to people like Jay or Leehom would be charisma, or else he'll be on par with them. :wink2:

owh i saw him sing live. i mean. he did this live promo show sponsored by hotlink in malaysia. all hotlink customers can redeem free tickets 2 see him. but i din go cuz my parents dun let. anyway i heard rang shi jian kai kou from dere. it was superb. the way he sang it was so emotional.. he sang kuai le twice. n a bunch of other songs. owh n i notice dat z-chen appriecietes his live bands and background singer. basicaly the whole crew la. cuz he alwayz intro them 2 his fans n ask his fans to clap for them n he will say "witout them my music wud nvr hav been so great to hav all of u fans here" <3

Aww... I know that 'Good Looks' gets you far in the entertainment industry... but I mean he's not that plain and unattractive !!

He's living proof that talent is sometimes all you need ! He's got a fantastic voice and an A++ personality to boot ! I love going hme to MY so that I can watch the music channel just to catch a MV of Z.Chen :happy:
