Avril Lavigne discussions about her new album 'My World'

I dint see any Avril Lavigne's topic so i decided to posted one. Her album 'My World' is out. and her single Don't Tell Me is good..!! Had anyone listen to it..?? I know she did have this attitude problem.. but you have to admit she is a good singer.. Anyone agreeing..?? :shy:

i gotta say avril has outdone herself in her new album. by the way, isn't it "under my skin" instead of "my world"?

anyway, i've been listening a lot to "together", "nobody's home" and "fall to pieces" often these days..those are my three top songs on the album.

her first album is a little less better than her newest one, at least that's how it is to me.. i think she's become more mature in this second album.. you can tell from her lyrics and everything..

Agreed. I dont think she is a good singer. She can sing well on records due to the producers doings, but if you hear her live, she is terrible coz she cant sing live at all. :crazy: I guess you can say she is a little maturer now, but I still find her sound now very similar to her 1st album. Looking back, I only liked her then with "complicated" coz she was a fresh breath of air, and the contrasting teen rebel, to artists like britney.

I haven't heard her whole new entire album yet.... but I have some of them *haha, looks away* anyways, I do admit her lyrics are better and her music is still good, but honestly, I get offended when "entertainment writers" write "punk princess".... WTF?

Her music isn't even punk in the least, its so alternative pop like Michelle Branch and Alansi Morrisette...... besides, i think she tries to hard to be a "rebel" and not fit into the stereotypical image of a singer.

but "my world" is different from the album with the song "don't tell me", viv. "my world has live versions of her old songs and a few additional tracks. :sweat: and the "don't tell me" album has her new songs.

I thought My World was a song from her first album. Also, in my oppinions, we don't need to have so many Avril threads lying around. There are TWO album threads of hers. Also, I think the title should've been more descriptive for people who don't know much about Avril, like me. But it's just my opinion. ^^

i dont really like avril. she sings alrite in the videos, but she totally sucks live. i cant stand her voice. in her video "dont tell me" she looks like a total whore esp. the make up... wats up wit that?? she really needs to chagne her clothes.... grosses me out man. she keeps dissing ppl, she should be the one that should get dissed. loser. anyways, thats my opinion about her. sorry if i offended any of her fans.

I like her songs, they're really catchy and I've listened to the new album, it sounds good, and since she's partnered with Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida(Our Lady Peace) in the song writing and production, it has that Chantal flavour that I recognize.

What annoys me about her is her hair always hanging down covering her face, even when being interviewed or accepting awards. It covers half of each of her eyes, and she doesn't move it away, it's annoys the hell out of me.

I did really like Complicated.. and then it went downhill from there. Her newest Don't Tell Me song.. bah. >_< Think it's her attitude that puts me off the post.. little chick punkrocker. She sounds like a valleygirl when she talks..

I agree! Did anyone see her on TRL? Good god, she seems so fake sometimes. But i think she's getting better at singing live (compared to last year) but there is no way in heck she could ever play guitar. it was like bad air guitar on the show.

Evryone - I haven't really been to her concerts so I can't give any comments. I like her songs and everything, but her is a different thing.. Her hair is staright and nice but I think its spoiled..! I mean it look so dry. And she can't play guitar..?? This piece of info i Dint know..!! And correction for her album's name, Its 'Under My Skin'. I putted out My World cause I thought It was out before UMS or soemthing.. Sorry.

i agree w/ everyone who says that avril doesn't really have a good voice.. its true, but i still like her cuz her songs are catchy.. i mean that's like 1/2 of all american singers if u ask me..lol.. you don't need a good voice or talent, just a hit single to make u famous

as for her new song, yes i do like it, but there's no real difference imo between that song and her old album.... you'd think after disappearing from the scene for a couple months like she did, she'd produce some songs that had a bit of a different style.. if she doesn't change her style of songs, then her popularity will only last for so long...

Her new song is more link to having sex with your boyfriend or something. It's quite meaning full for teenage girls especially those involve in relationship that sucks and it's all about sex..
