Yup I remember them.. I remember I really liked the song MmmBop? I didn't really liked them much though when they had long hair because they looked kind of girly to me. But then now that they all have shorter hair, they look better. I think I've only heard one of their songs. Did you guys know that Taylor is now married and have a kid too?! He's so young!

i remember these guys! but i havent seen there recent pics..i get to hear their new single countless times a day cuz its being played in radio stations regularly it still got the hanson sound but on a higher/ more mature level...not like the mmbop days

i loved them for about a month. after i got the CD and memorized it... i stoped liking them. LOL~! i really dont like them anymore.. i have no desire to hear the new CD at all.
now dont get me wrong.. i am not hating on them... i am sure they are great to the younger folk with their new looks and all, but i just ..... cant... stand them anymore.

it proboly has to do with the fact that for that month i loved them... my walls were 85%

Western music doesnt seem to appeal to me as much as it did. I thnk what sets asian s apart is that i look up to asian singers as role models as opposed to wsterners. Taking taylor eor example. Hes soo young to have a family

I loved Hanson! ESPECIALLY TAYLOR!

He was my obsession in grade 6! lol.. yes my walls were also covered in Hanson posters. Middle of Nowhere was a great CD. Even now, I still think it's pretty good, especially considering they were about 11-16 when they wrote it. haha.. anyway, they disappeared for a while.. a LONG while.. and in that time, they lost a lot of fans (including me). By the time their second album came out, I just wasn't interested. Although I have downloaded a few random recommended songs every now and then -- they've definitely matured in their music. Don't brush them off as a "teenybopper boyband". They're artists who actually have substance in their music.

Yeah, I was really surprised when I found out Taylor got married. But the pregnancy was conceived before they were married, so I think the baby is the reason why they tied the knot so young.

Haha,xiaoli,if Taylor was ur obsession in grade 6, then mine was Zachary! :brows: I had a crush on him when i was 12 after seeing him playing drums in the Mmmbop mv.I thought he was pretty cool!As for Taylor,the 1st time i saw him in the mv,i thought he was a girl..but no doubt,he was really "pretty".
And yes,i did hang a poster of Hanson on my wall and i actually just took it down a few weeks ago coz i wanted to use that space for my Freddie posters,hehe.I'm not so obsessed with them right now as i used to,i think they're ok and Taylor's look more macho and he's not longer the girlish type.So is Zach--gosh he has really grown up so much :oops: .He looks totally different from the cute "Zach" whom i've had a crush on :blush: .
Oh one thing,i dont think i'll buy their latest album.In fact Middle Of Nowhere (their 1st album) is the only Hanson album i owned.Hmm..i dont know i just thought that their albums after MON werent that good,that's why i didnt buy em' :oops:

I'm really amazed to find a Hanson thread here, and I'm glad because I love Hanson too, ever since their Mmmbop days! :) Even though their albums after Middle of Nowhere does take some getting used to, there's no denying they are really talented (or to quote xiaoli 'they have substance in their music'). I've only heard one song 'Penny and Me' from their new album 'Underneath', and already I'm itching to get hold of it except that their album hasn't reach our shores yet! I really admire the fact that they do try to do their own things, like writing their own music, taking control of the direction their music takes on and even producing their own indie album. And Taylor is as good looking as ever, family man or not.. he still has in him that x-factor which charmsssss! He also earns my respect for not shrugging off his responsibility and duty towards his wife and daughter, seeing that he was at the peak of his career then and the idol of every teenage girls out there. Hanson rocks! :realcool:

hey! i thought i'm the only one who like hanson.. i was their fan on their MMMbop days.. but now hmm.. just wanna listen to their new album coz i want to know how their music have changed.. actually i have all their albums.. :D i was obsessed with them when i was on my high school years.. i really like their song "penny and ME" on their new album..

Yeah, I've heard that Penny & Me is a great song. Will get round to listening to it soon. :happy:

It's called Underneath. =) Snowed In was their special Christmas album. I just bought it cuz it was Hanson. lol I don't even celebrate Christmas. Zac was cuter when he was still a kid >< Being silly was just so HIM... I can't imagine him all grown up and mature.

hanson was an old craze back when the mmbop song was still hot. and will remain as an old craze. unless the new generation fans gets crazy over them. jmo. i do admit tho that they were more gorgeous when they were younger. they just look different now that they're so old and grown-up. :?

my brother got their first cd for free (one of those columbia house things where they give you free cds) and he didn't want it so he gave it to me as a christmas present. the sad thing was i didn't like them either. mmmbop was fairly traumatizing for me lol. and after that, i just couldn't listen to any of their songs... even now. i never could get through listening to their first cd. maybe i should i give it another chance?

I think this was taken when they came out with their third album (the album after their Three Car Garage).Taylor's hair was much shorter.And i thought Zach looked really horrible during this time. :oops:

seadream98: You should really give it another chance!Their first album was their best!I loved it so much! :love: And i loved all the songs on it.Now, i'm trying really hard to find their first album but i cant seem to find it in most of the music stores :oops: (I had the cassette but i guess i listened to it too much that the cassette was broken. :cry: ).I just hope i'll be able to stumble upon their first album.

Oh yeah, my fave song on Middle of Nowhere is "I Will Come To You"
I also really like "Mmmbop" and no matter how much you hate it, you can't deny that it's damn catchy and also AMAZING how a bunch of kids wrote that song themselves, and it went to #1 in 16 (or so I remember) different countries!

guys! not sure if this thread is still up. Anyway i searched for hanson in youtube and i learned that they already have indie records. So most of us don't know that they're still making music until now. After the "this time around album", they released "underneath" and "the walk" album under their own record label. I got so amazed how their music have grown so much. I recommend that you listen to "georgia", great divide and been there before singles in "the walk album". You'll get hook to it. ZAC has become a hottie!
