just found news about her preparing her debut album. She just released her first single, "Pieces of Me." She will have a behind-the-scenes special air on MTV May 17. Simpson's also going to star in her own reality show, debuting on MTV the third week of June.

I agree with this. She will always be outdone by her sister I think. And Ashlee will only be in the spotlight if Jessica is there to boost her. I think Ashlee has a horrible singing voice and I don't think she stays in tune very well. That's just my two cents.

I think its how their music is targetted to certain crowds that has a thing to do with their album sales too. Take Hillary Duff and compare her to Eminem. Hillary Duff's fans are usually teenage girls or little girs like 9-13 year olds right? But look at Eminem, his fans are usually 15 and up. This plays a major role in sales, because a 9 year old compared to a 15 year old wouldn't know the first thing to downloading or bootlegging the album right?

And Ashlee Simpson... I think its just the hype with Jessica that really helped her out. Her album doesn't have any real songs that will stick, nor does it have that much creativity. Its bordering Hillary Duff to Avril Lavigne. Her voice is ok, but I think she's just going to have what they call, "15 minutes of fame" or else I'm just saying this because I don't like her music due to its blandness. :rolleyes:

but more recently, she was caught lip-synchin on saturday night live... her manager (dad) said it was cos she had a throat infection... that's ok honestly, but seriously they're makn a huge deal out of it! it was featured on the 60 min thingy, and poor girl, they were like askn the officials at SNL, "did you kno she was goin to lip-synch" and stuff liek that. but whatever. lip-sync only has one purpose, for sick/illness and for dance movements.

Quite shocking... and gross, isn't it? I feel very sorry for Ashlee. She was never contented with her own physical appearance. Her nose job was aired on international TV and she famously dyed her hair black. And now she wants to have more pouted, luscious lips? What is she, Angelina Jolie wannabe? Ashlee is a big disappointment. I like her music but I don't quite understand her personally. She said in an interview that she wouldn't go under the knives again and even advised women to stay natural and be contented with what God gave you. But apparently, she never practised what she preached.

Although she doesn't look bad or anything but then now, I would probably label her as fake. I think the whole "blond and barbie" look really bugs me because I have to admit that I use to like Ashlee Simpson because she was different from her blond sister, Jessica, in terms of music and personal style in clothing and everything. But now, it just gives me this shiver. Those lips are really bugging me! She kind of reminds me of a second version of Pamela Anderson.. :crazy:
