Nebraska represent Sean. I'm from NE, but then again you know me, I'm Mr. B. We need to get all the LSW Jay fans in here. Have our own little club, haha. Per capita, we might have the most Jay fans in the US.

Anyway, I've been all over the world and something always just feels right about NE. Except winter, it's really gets too f*cking cold here. Plus we have the best sunsets in the world.........ladies, you dig?

Well, you know Nebraska is a small state. When a mojor city has a higher population than your whole state wheat can we expect, haha. Anway, I've been out of the country, and the Nebraska sunsets are totally the best here. Plus, where else can you go where football is practically a religion and people think it is normal. Green Bay? Haha

NE represent :yeah:

Hazel, hi

My name is Jason from Lincoln, and the first Nebraskan on jay-chou.net. Welcome. It is so cool to see a Nebraskan here that I didn't introduce to the site. Tell us about yourself. I'm a teacher, taught at Lincoln Southwest last semester. This summer I am leaving to teachi n Taiwan. How did you learn about Jay? how long have you lived here?

Again welcome, and.....................Huskers totally rock!!!!!!!

Jason, howdy! :cowboy:

My name is Helena, pleasant to meet you. Must be a honor to be the first Nebraskan here at this forum ehh? Well, anyways, I attend Burke High School, don't know if you heard of it or not. I been in Nebraska for over 10 years now, I was born in Saigon, Vietnam and then I came to the Untied States.

How did I learn about Jay? Hmmm..., I remember I visited my friend's friend site, Kristina, and she had two songs of Jay up for listening. The first song I ever listened to by Jay was "Tornado" and it was super good. The second one was "Secret Signal", then the next moment I become conscious, searching the web for his pictures, news, albums, absolutely everything. I find myself buying all of his albums that I can get my hands on and his collectiables.I was totally head over heels with him . That's my story, what about you?

So you're a teacher? High school teacher right? I'm inquisitive, you're American *from your avatar* :shy:, but you understand and know how to speak chinese? Intresting....

Of course I know Burke, I've lived here my whole life, so I know most of the schools in southeast NE, especially the Class I schools. I still think it is cool to see other NE high school students here. The other ones are all my students that I turned on to Jay when I played his MV's and stuff in class to help teach geography. Talk about a fun class, right? 8-)

I know Jay because I taught in Taiwan last summer. Say his stuff on Channel V there and some of my studeents played some of his music. The first song I heard was "In the Name of the Father" it was his new release at the time. I thought it was so cool. I bought his CD and I was hooked. That is also how I know some chinese. The language isn't that hard to learn, all it takes is practice. Which I had plenty of when I was there. I'm leaving in about 7 weeks to go back to Taiwan and teach. Only this time I'll be gone for over a year living over there. so I should be pretty fluent when i come back.

So we need more Nebraskans on this thread, so make sure you spread the Word of Jay to your friends and get them on here. See ya round the forum Helena.

That's cool, did you attend the Nebraska State Track Meet, held at Burke Stadium this year *well mostly every year* :wink2: ? It's awesome to know that there's a few Jay's fan here and there. I keep on thinking I'm probably the only one here in Nebraska that know and heard of Jay.

You should SO come to Omaha and teach at Burke for one day :brows:, it would be beyond super if you come and play Jay's MV's in my AP World History class next year or my AP Psychology class. Explain to us on how Jay can affect our human behavior . Too bad you're leaving in 7 weeks to Taiwan. Hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip.

Maybe once you're really really fluent when you come back. You can teach me something from your experience. I'll be sure to spread the WORD OF JAY to all my friends here :secret:.

I know how you feel Hazel. I too thought I was the only one, but then I started hanging out with a lot of international students at the U and there are quite a few. You might be one of the only HS students who's heard of him (except for quite a few at LSW now because of me.) I didn't make it to the track meet this year, but I've been there before. I' ve even been to some of the football games there too.

Thanks for the luck on the trip. hopefully I won't need but it should be a difficult and fun all at the same time. My plan is to come back and teach in NE must some day, but I don't when. Probablly after you graduate I'm sure. AP HIS and Psych, huh? You must be a smart one.

I expect to see your friends here real soon. Hey is school out already in Omaha?

I can't wait till I arrive to college, so many interesting people to meet. I'm beyond doubt the only person at Burke that know and heard of Jay . There isn't a great deal of international or forgein exchange students here. From what I know there's probably only 2-3 students that come from the eastern part of the world.

The track meet this year was amusing and the weather was warm and sunny rather then wet and rainy like last year. I'm surprise how much spirit people from different cities in Nebraska had with the track meet. People slept in their cars, some brought along their trailers and had bbq. A large number of families rented hotels and walked a 45 mins. walk just to get to Burke since parking space was limited .

So, what are you going to be teaching in Taiwan?? Are you teaching high school students or college students? Anyways, I'm not that smart, lolz, just do a fine job in the world of social studies and yes, OPS district is already on summer vacation :).

Yeah Nebraskans and HS sports are insane. Especially small towns. Kinda crazy stuff. In Taiwan I will teach English. There is a high demand for English teachers there, so I'm gonna give it a try, even though I am endorsed to teach the social studies. I will teach HS students, hopefully. I love teaching HS. All the students are so interesting, never a boring day . Plus, Taiwanese students are really cool, so different from American students. hard to explain, but I really miss that atmosphere.

Bet you're going to be having a pleasurable time there and if there's any handsome Taiwanese male HS students don't be afraid to inform me .

Well, actually Taiwan pays English teachers very well. The amount we make is about twice what you need to live in, sometimes more. So I will be making relatively more money in Taiwan than here. But you are right, I'd probablly do it for free anyway.

i told her to get Jay stuff for me if she sees some..and she said that the nearest Chinatown is in Chicago..

tornado warnings everywhere!Omg!i was so afraid...!i don't wanna lose a friend..thank God it didn't happen..

I'm visiting Chicago next month just to go to Chinatown and buy things. Sometimes I feel sad, about not living in a more populated state with many entertainment surroundings. Still I adore this state, everyone is friendly and nice "most of the time". LOLZ

Summer season already started, but we're in this Spring type season with thunderstorm and tornado watch/warning. I don't know about Lincoln, but Omaha been getting numerous storms every late-afternoon or at night. Don't worry too much charmed_1009, everyone have shelters and know what to do during a tornado. I don't know what city your friend live in, but I hope everything will be okay for her.

I thought there were other Chinatowns closer to Nebraska than that in Chicago? :? It takes me 2 hours to drive to Chicago. :bleh:

Tornado = my least favorite thing about the US. Well, it's tied at the first sport with hot humid weather. I guess they could be related. I'll just lump everything together and say: I hate summer!

Hazel
06-15-2004, 04:32 AM
I bet there's other Chinatowns in closer states by Nebraska too, I just enjoy going to "The Windy City". Always been a favorite place to go during my summer vacation beside rock climbing in Colorado. Thanks for being immodest Vunsin, about the 2 hours drive to Chicago, because is 8-9 hours for me . Nevertheless, at the rate/speed we're drive it takes around 10-12 hours. LOLZ

You hate summer, can't be, just because of the hot and humid weather?? There's always places you can go to cool off like a nice/pleasant swimming pool or lake.

vunsin
06-15-2004, 07:14 AM
Actually, I prefer the Chinatowns in San Francisco, New York, and Philadelphia. Well... those are the other Chinatowns I've been to and like. I don't really like the one in LA and the one in Las Vegas is REALLY small, like half a block. And the one in Portland, Oregon is DEAD! Seriously, we couldn't find food there when we were starving! All the restaurants open after noon!

Anyhow, I hate summer because I can't fall asleep at night. I can't fall asleep unless it's chilly enough for me to pull the comforter up until my neck. And I get sunburned within 30 minutes of going outside, with or without sunscreen. I also have to work 7 days a week most weeks, so it's not like I get lots of time to hang out and do whatever I want. I hate it when I start sweating right after stepping out from the bathroom after a shower. I have oily face and sometimes the combination of sweat and oil on my face just stings my eyes! The idea of tornado freaks me out. So yes, I hate summer JUST BECAUSE of the hot humid weather. I'd love to live in Alaska if it weren't so, erm, isolated.

Vun, welcome to the Nebraska thread. Sorry I have taken a week vacation from the site. Oops, I'm way behind. Actually, here in Lincoln we have a "Vietamesetown" There is a large Viet populatiuon here so there are many stores that sell Viet food, videos, music, and everything. It's pretty cool. All my Chinese friends sho there for thier food. No real China town though. Chicago might be the closest.

I love those dark nasty clouds and thunderstorms. Tornadoes suck. Man, Hallam got comletely destroyed, one of my students lived there . It was so sad.

Hazel
06-18-2004, 05:01 AM
Now that you mention it Jason, there's the "27th Street" where everything related to Vietnamese is located there. From video rental stores where Chinese/Taiwanese series get dubbed in Vietnamese to supermaket where you buy Vietnamese food. I go there every Saturday/Sunday, because in Omaha there isn't many Vietnamese supermarket that sell fresh food.

My mother always go there to gossip with the owner of the "Vina Supermaket". Don't know if you or mouse heard of that supermarket or not. LOLZ I notice bubble/boba tea been getting quite popular down there. Now's there's even a tea shop "Caitlin's Tapioca Drinks" something like that.

I don't know. Most guys I know prefer tall girls.

cowboy
06-20-2004, 05:47 PM
Well, I'm only 5'7" so I dig short girls. Maybe it's because I am short guy, but I don't know. I am just one of those guys who likes a small, petite girl. I don't even like big TNA (tits and ass, if you don't know) like most guys. Seriously my ideal breast size on a woman is about a 34B, like the girl I am currently seeing. she's about 5'6", a size 3, 34B, and short hair. Why are we talking about this?

Haha, here in NE though, it is hard to find small girls like that though. Most of the girls here are thick girls. Not fat, just think. Big breasts, no slender waist, and thick thighs. Good ole corn fed Nebraska girls. My Chinese guy friends love them, haha.

So true, vun. After you date enough American girls they are all kinda the same. I'm a man who likes variety, and there ain't nothing wrong with. I don't really care about the number, and it is true as long as the girl looks "proportioned" is all that matters to me. I've dated the whole range A-D, but I'm not a breast guy. I prefer eyes, hair, and waist. I'm a sucker for something new, so who knows. Maybe I'll tire of Asian gorls too :hmm:. Naw, not likely :).

charmed: Omaha is correct. It is Nebraska's largest thriving metropolis with about 350,000 people. It is also the home of our dear Hazel too. I would say that I am an ethical and moral person compared to my standards, haha. But on most people's moral themometer I wouldn't score very high though, but I think that is just because in this state most people are Christian and I'm not. So that whole sexual morality thing is kinda against me, when people judge me. Not that I care. All I know is that I've been told I am sweet, smart, charming, and handsome, so I guess I have that going for me.:brows:

HA HA HA Are you trying to get me to go there and make the guest view go up?? :rasp: The title is very interesting though I keep on clicking it for no reason, even though I know that I had already click there before. Shouling sent me a PM about it this morning, think she thought I was hAz3l. :D

Yeah maybe she did, I don't know. She said the "post-a-thon stress" was making her lose her mind or something. :worry:

I talked to her about it. She did make a mistake. We're all going nuts nowadays. The whole forum game thing is driving everyone nuts. Just be glad you're not in a usergroup yet.

Yeap, I'm truly glad I'm not in a usergroup yet. Jay's fans gone wild during Annual Game weeks. Now that's something to be talking about. :playball:

:yeah: WOO-HOO!! I hit the big 1-0-0 posts count, I never thought I would reach it so fast. Wanted to save it and post it in here, since this is one of my favorite thread in this whole forum. :clink:

vunsin

100 posts? That's nice. :drunk:

It's nice to be in usergroups though. We're like families. :) And we have so much fun in our private forums too.

Hazel
07-08-2004, 10:50 PM
100 is such a small number, to a person who has over 7,000 posts count and almost there to 8,000 posts count..

Is that you getting drunk and pass out on the right vunsin?

vunsin

07-09-2004, 04:43 AM
T.V? but that's not the same as being drunk though :wink2:

yeah, lay off the alchohol Hazel... its not the best way to go, especially when you're brain is still trying to grow up

I'm not even from Nebraska but the tempation to er know more about Nebraskans and its state was too sweet... :shifty:

I don't know. Nebraska is like over 95% White or something? Well, somewhere in the 90s. I don't know if that has anything to do with anything. I'm just afraid some people might not be too friendly. I guess some people ARE friendly, but it's just kinda scary. But at least I know a few friendly people from Nebraska. :D

don't sit and wave... go and lure people here to the Nebraksa thread! i'm sure there's more out there, just shy and lurking around the forums somewhere.

:hmm: talk about white, now Arkansas... that's white. If you want to pratice not being self-conscious, Arkansas is the place to go, you get stared at like a weird celebrity or something  but you grow use to it hahah.

Yeah, I'll try and "lure" people here if they actually listen to me. I kind of doubt Nebraska has that many Jay Chou's fans.

I just thought I'd stop by here in the Nebraska thread. How's the weather down there Nebraskans? Well today in Minnesota there was a bad thunderstorm and right when I was on JC.net all the power went out. I don't know if I was piss at the lights going out or scared since it was pretty dark and I couldn't see crap and I lived in the basement too. So I used the small light from my sports watch to get around to my flashlight.

Hazel
08-03-2004, 02:40 AM
The weather is so humid and HOT I think it's going to be raining soon. The air under the pavement causing the weather to be so nasty and icky. :bigyuck: I would faint if I don't have my AC going, is like a oven outside.

vunsin
08-03-2004, 02:42 AM
The weather has been mild this summer. So far. It helps that I'm in my office most of the time too and it's icy cold there most of the time. Love it. It seems to be getting a little warmer these few days though. :worry:

msv
08-03-2004, 02:44 AM
Well... its definately humid here in Minnesota too. Gah I hate it when its humid though!!!!! The hotness I don't mind, but when my skin gets all sticky and I feel that I need a bath every 30 minutes... oh poo!

I remember one time I went biking and it was sooo hot and of course, ditzy me forgot my waterbottle  glad I didnt' faint and have anything as bad as heat stroke heheh.

vunsin
08-03-2004, 02:46 AM

Uh-huh, I hate humid weather makes me not in a good mood. I think is going to be raining soon too. Gosh, the AC been running 24/7 even thought I put it on automatic. My mother is going to so kill me when she see the bill for it.

This remind me I only have a few more weeks of summer vacation, then I'm back in school.

msv

This remind me I only have a few more weeks of summer vacation, then I'm back in school.

Aiyoh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ME TOO!!!!!!!!! Its like a death sentence for me. I have to do school shopping too (and I hate shopping because I can't find anything that fits me). *sigh* There's something wrong with me, I buy clothes but they just disappear one by one slowly and when summer hits, I can't find them anymore. And so usually I have to go and buy more clothes which I hate too gah! And Minnesota with the 4 seasons, you have to have an assortment of clothings too. Waste of money.

Actually, after this week I'm going to start on my school project that I've been slacking off as well as my other things that I have to prepare before school starts. So suddenly if I'm not running loose here anymore, you'll know why.

But hey!!!!!!!!! The weather's been nice lately.

Uh-huh, I only have 2 more weeks of summer vacation. I don't want to go back to school, but gosh times fly by fast when you're having fun *sobbing*. My mother just gave me my school mail from my high school with all these paperworks and all these school fees I have to pay. *sighz* Thanks for reminding me, I need to get start on my school shopping too. Nebraska also has the 4 seasons going on, I waste so much money on clothes each time an season end. And the worst thing of all is stores here sell clothes by season, so I have to keep on coming back getting whatever I need.

Same as you I have two summer projects to do for my two AP classes and both of I have to read four chapters from this HUGE textbooks they give you. I'm so lazy :depresse:, I keep on falling asleep yesterday trying to read these stupid tiny words.

msv
08-04-2004, 05:02 AM
I hate stupid tiny words. I am excited going to school and enjoying my last year in high school before I head off to Uni and all... but its just the process of getting thigs ready for school is gah gah gah!

And I have to buy textbooks too since I'm taking these classes prepping for college  I missed the library. Maybe it would be easier to be a dumb blonde and marry some rich old guy and wait till he dies and get his money.

vunsin
08-04-2004, 05:07 AM
Why would you assume that all blondes are dumb? I know many smart blondes.

My goodness, Jay having a concert in LA?!! :excited: Now, I'm confuse I thought he'll have one in NYC or close by there, because I already told my father about it well I actually told him I was coming over to visit him since my last day of school before winter break is December 17, and then I get two weeks off. Thus, I don't need to book a hotel or plane ticket because he'll order one for me.

Now I'm disappointed, LA is super farway from Nebraska. Anyhow, I was surfing around at this one forum and I saw this one girl posting news jack off from JCNET, and all she did for credit is put down the name of the translator sometimes she put source sometimes she doesn't. Then at the top of the post she put a random picture of Jay. I nicely told her to include the "Translation: ???? - www.jay-chou.net", but then she bitch at me. :worry:

Anyhow, it'll cost me the same amount of money to go to LA or NYC.

Hazel

At AsianFanatics.net, people there so rude and disrespectful. Not to mention they promote porno stuff. :glug:

Main Forum Site
http://asianfanatics.net/forum/

All of Jay's news are posted in the Asian Entertainment News section

http://asianfanatics.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=25820 <---- Jakinni's translation just a day ago!

Uh-huh, I joined long long time ago, but barely post since the members there are so rude. The moderators, super moderators, and even the administors are perverted people very biased too. They use to have a porno gallery section which tick me off, but they took it off since numerous people were complaining I think.

Anyways, that girl starizblue my gosh she is such a *beep beep* she get piss when people take the news she post and post it at other forums, because she said she translated them and they need credit her which is such a lie.

Hope every things goes well to you msv and you can make it to his concert !! I on the other hand praying that he will have a second concert in NYC and that it will land during my winter break.

Hazel you should really give the link and pm jayx8318x like vunsin mentioned above. That site is .... er.... yeah, you described it nicely. I dunno know if the admins. of that site would even respond or take any action even if jayx8318x did do something too.

Oi, Jay really did pick a bad time to do a US concert in my case. But thanks Hazel! :hugz: I hope all goes well for you too. You know... this love for Jay feels like a long distance relationship. Far and expensive. -_-

Hey, it'd be nice if some of us could get together and go to Jay's concert together! :excited:

Yeah, I PM jayx8318x just before I left the site and went offline. Another thing is that girl made a lot of rules up about how to credited right when taking news from that forum and posting elsewhere, but she herself don't even follow it to set an example is truly lame.

Anyhow, thanks mvs :flowers: I hope I can make it too. Who knows how many years later until he'll have another world tour concert in the US.

Wow, 11 points!! I seriously don't check my reputation points unleast I'm in a thread for a long time and notice it otherwise I just post and head out. You're awesome!! :kisschee:

Anyhow, you're right I was thinking if I should PM her or not, but I decided to tell her when I was about to sign off so yeah. I probaby won't make it to his rumor 2nd concert if its not in NYC, and my father living in NYC won't let me go by myself to the concert since he told me about how hectic life is over there. Thanks for offering to help me I'll talk to my father about it and if anything comes up I'll besure to give you a heads up. :hugz: I don't think my parents would care if I do get kidnap, one least mouth to feed that's what they always tells me.

Anyways, I've given up on seeing Jay. I'm too broke and circumstance at the moment aren't allowing me to see him anytime soon. And Hazel! I love the blinkie trail on your banner! heehee.

Oi and vunsin is nice. When I was a newbie and having that little mini "post-a-thon" with her on some thread about Jay, I was a bit intimidated seeing that I was pretty much a newbie or in other words, pretty lost and she was a mod and boy, I've seen some of her posts around too! What happen?? No more Nebraskian here only me left?? Where did everyone go?? :glug:

Anyhow, I guess I'll update my daily life to get some activeness in here. Umm, I just turned 16 this Wednesday and I went to the Omaha's Department of Motor and Vehicles to pick up my Provisional Operators Permit. My picture look like I just woke up on the wrong side of bed and my hair was super proofy since I had to run afterschool for my Aerobics class.

I'm hosting my birthday party at this restaurant tomorrow and I decided to do a hawaiian theme for it. Suppose to be cold and windy tomorrow though since the high is like 52 degree or so. That's about it I guess feel weird talking to myself.

The birthday cake which I ordered a week in advance was suppose to be a full size sheet cake, but the place where I order it they made it the wrong size which was the ½ sheet cake. I thought it was okay didn't get too mad, then I went over and see the writing and my gosh even though it was a ½ sheet cake the writing was truly small you can barely read anything. My name for instance was all smush up together and I told them to write everything big. In the end I got a discount for their mistake and wrong doing. The Hawaiian beach background on the cake was nice though. :-)

After the cake I went to the Nobbies (Omaha's ultimate party super store) where I order 5 Hawaiian theme balloon bouquets 2 days earlier and I told them I need them by 2:30-3:00 PM on Saturday, but I came there and they haven't done anything. :glug: I had to wait about an hour to get them. Which throw off my party time. Thus, I had to call up all my friends and tell them to come 1-2 hours late because I need to get to the restaurant to decorate my party room. :worry:

However, even though there were some minor/major errors everyone had a great time and I had a good sweet 16th birthday party. As well as the restaurant where I hosted my party is currently the place where I'm working for right now, but I only work on Monday and Friday (part-time) so yeah. Need it to pay for my car insurance.

Oh, how could I forget you two !! Anyways, I just got myself in my first time car accident Monday after school. Someone rear-ended me!! I was driving and needed to turn left into this narrow street to get to my place so I turn on my left signal and decrease my engine to make a turn, but just then I see this car coming fast straight (2-way street) on my left lane so I stop and just when I was about to make my turn this white 1990 Isuzu Trooper come crashing into my car. :ranting: After the police came I come to know that the driver who hit me was smoking, talking to his friend, didn't pay attention, went over the speed limit of 25 mph, couldn't stop because he was going to fast and left this long tires mark on the street.

The guy who rear-ended went to the same high school I went too which was kind of strange. Anyhow, it was his fault so he has to pay up for my damage which is estimated to be around $4,000 and the body shop manager told me that it could even be more since my hatchback trunk can't be open right now because if they do try to open it then it won't close. So they have to wait till my car goes into the body shop to see if there could be some more major internal damage. :worry:

And that's how this week went for me. Thanks goodness I got a 4 days weekend, but too bad tomorrow is Parent Teachers Conference. Well I hope you're enjoying your week vunsin!! Take care!!

Hey, Hazel, I'm glad you weren't hurt in the accident! I hate it when people do stupid things like that when they're driving. :-x It happened to me once too. I was driving and minding my own business when this stupid driver zoomed out from a parking lot without stopping or checking to see if there were other cars on the road! He barely missed the back door, but there was a huge dent on the side of the trunk. :-x And guess what? He tried to escape! I got his license plate number though and the police tracked him down.

Finally, I'm on break for Christmas have more time to be posting at JCNET then just looking around. My car took forever to get fix, but I finally got it back just last Friday after my last day of school. Thus, now I have a car to drive around rather then just staying at home doing nothing all the tme for the break. :-)

Anyhow, how are you? I'm guessing you're on break or have been on break before me. Doing anything for Christmas or just eat/sleep? As for me, probably just eat/sleep maybe go to a couple of movies and do some shopping . This thread been so empty feel like I'm the only Nebraskan right now.

Well, going to head out I'll catch you later. Just in case I don't see you Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Enjoy all the great food and wonderful presents!! LOL :hugz:

I'll be uploading some pix later and you can check them out. Anyhow, because of the weather condition, some sites were closed off, so we didn't get to go that place where we'd have to wear raincoats. It was still an awesome experience.

Yeah... I have to work on Christmas day. One of my part-time job is waitressing, so...

I'm restarting the Nebraska thread, one of the original posters. During my absence I have since relocated back to Lincoln, NE from Kaohsiung, Taiwan. I am now working for the University of Nebraska Athletic Department as an academic counselor. It's fun, but it's not teaching. My wife is now 4 months pregnant, and we are living in a lovely one-bedroom aprtment on 18th and G St. :-)

Go Huskers!!!!!!!!! :excited:

Wow, many wonderful news! I haven't seen you at forum for awhile. You probably haven't seen me either. LOL Been awhile since I post. Anyhow, so you're a academic counselor at UNL? This is kind of awkward, but I applyed to UNL and got my acceptance letter just a few weeks ago. I'm going to college!! :excited: Super excitied!

Excellent news Hazel. I think you will find that UNL is a great school with a wonderful faculty and student body. Plus, you get to go to Husker games pretty cheap. Have you decided on a major yet? Or still thinking about it? Let me know if you have any questions about anything regarding the University. I deal with that kind of stuff everyday. How is school going this year? Any other news?

Yes, I have decided on a major, Biochemistry/Pre-Dental. :D I think senior year is so hectic! I have to fill out so many scholarships, college applications, writing essays, job shadowing, preparing myself for the ACT (taking it the 2nd time around). And there's so much other stuff to do. I'm planning to get everything done by December. Thus, I can enjoy the rest my senior year and wait for graduation to come. And may I say senior year has been my most time and money consuming year ever!

Well as far as hard work and spending money goes, life only get worse. Enjoy your senior year while you can, because after high school you never look back on those days. It is such a short and strange part of your life. College is even more amazing, and your experiences in college will shape the way you are as an adult far more than high school ever does. Good luck on those scholarships and the ACT. Why are you filling out more college applications and job shadowing? Job shadow and intern in college, and I thought you had already been accepted to UNL?

Oh, I just meant senior year require so much of that stuff. Also, that's was before I got my acceptance letter from UNL I was doing that. Now, I'm more focusing on getting all my scholarships/financial aid applications done. :-)

Well financial aid is important, and it takes a long time to fill out all of those applications. I harldy got any scholarships. I had to work 3 part-time jobs to go to school, but I learned a lot. Enjoying the frigid temps, Hazel?
