Today I came across a mag, which asked singaporeans teens what's their fav hang out places in singapore. I think for most of the teens, their answers is Far east, coz there's alot of things trendy to look out for on far east.
So, what's yours? Be it a pub, a disco, or a shopping centre! Recommend them!
For me, most of the time I'm working, so I guess I had missed out the fun a 17 plus teens should have...

Haha I was just about to start this topic because I wanted new hang out places. Guess you beat me to it then. :)
I usually hang out at Jurong Point with my friends 'cause that's the nearest place to my school.
But I prefer to go to the City Hall area 'cause it's mainly unexplored by me and there's so many cool things there, like the Esplanade, the Substation, the old NLB, Raffles City, and you can walk to Bugis from like, CHIJMES or something and it's just cool.
I'm quite sian of Orchard Road already though. Keep seeing the same things around. Bleah.

It's coffeeclubbeanconnection for me for hanging out. I love to just sit around and do nothing but lim kopi, flip magazines and talkgossipcomplain.
Been trying to find new places for good cakes though. Any recommendations? Love the cakes at Bakers' Inn but damn the management for charging for iced water now. Can't sit there too long without getting free water now.

And I just found a cheap place to hang out! K-Box lunch specials! You can sing all of Jay's songs in 3 hours for the cheap cheap price of $4.90+++ per person! You get a room and lunch.

Moonsilk, the lunch specials apply for all k-box I think, but the price differs according to which set lunch you choose. The $4.90 one I'm mentioned is from Orchard Cineleisure 4th Floor. It's a Delifrance sandwich. Alternatively, you can choose Bento sets which would cost around $10+++ per person.
For a clearer idea of K Box charges, you could refer to this webpage:
http://www.kbox.com.sg/charges.html
Safest bet would be to call the outlet that you want, coz' that would be more updated. :wink2:

Hmm.. i seldom move out of my 'territory; which is somewhere at east coast area. So at my area, i recommand parkway parade and suntec, these two places are cool places that you can do window shopping and of course, i like to hang out at k box where i can k all the jay songs!!!

Hmm same here, xiezhi_renfu ^^ I normally go to Parkway cos I live in the east. Parkway was nominated one of the top shopping malls or something and I have to agree it's really accessible and has many shops for us to patronise..
I go to Junction8 in Bishan sometimes too, after school to relax. Since it's relatively near my school, it's quite convenient for me and we sometimes go there to catch a movie or take neos. :D
Oh yes, and the Heeren. heh Jay mentioned that he always go there to shop when he comes to Singapore! Wowza. I always go to HMV when I go down to the Heeren & another thing I love about Orchard would be Kinokuniya too, hee.
I live in the central so my hangouts are Bugis Junction, Suntec, Orchard.
Guess this is typical of many Singaporeans.
Next time you guys come to central area, be sure to check out Eu Tong Sen Street for the food. I love the dessert store there. Very lively street esp at night.
Used to hang out in the East too cos I had my secondary and tertiary education there.
Parkway Parade and Tampines Mall are like the most popular ones there. But Parkway certainly has changed a lot over the years. I remembered there used to have a Toys'rus.
Now that I study in the West, I go to Ikea a lot.
I'm a little crazy but I used to frequent the place so much I could remember most of the price tags. And be sure to try the swedish meatballs and hotdog bun!

I live in the western area of Singapore, Choa Chu Kang... And.. my house is quite near to Lot 1 Shoppers' mall... I often drop by there... The shops are quite limited lah.. :P but I just love to go there...
Other than Lot 1, i really love to 'hang out' in my bedroom too!!! Im not so outgoing in fact...

i think in singapore,we have very few places for shopping, it's either orchard, city hall or bugis, or neighbourhood shopping malls. I seldom go to these places, unless required because they are always very crowded.
the type of entertainment that i like most would be KTV. Especially K-box, their songs are up-to-date and the rates are very reasonable.

As I live in the Serangoon Gardens area, i don't usually go to East Coast to shop etc..
I would sometimes go Junction8 with my friends to take neoprints and catch a movie, Plaza Singapura too... Or Kovan (Heartland mall) to take neoprints, go bowling etc...

I like to hang out in East Point and Tampines Mall 'cos yeah, well they are near where I live. :bleh: Hehe, think Orchard is a great place to shop if you have the $$. Don't go there very often.. Heard Jay likes to go to the Heeren too! :shifty: (Camp there one of these days and then pounce on him when he's spotted.. ) To checkout trendy clothes or stuff like that.. He knows of our 3-storey HMV too! Cool right?

From Redhill, the best option for me to go is Plaza Singapura and Funan IT Mall. Sometimes though when I have time, I also take a walk down the Orchard Road just for the sake of sightseeing.
