i LOVE anything Italian or Chinese so those two get my vote...

for italian, i particularly like:

~ beef lasagna
~ seafood pasta
~ mushroom carbonara
~ cheese pizza

and for chinese, meanwhile, i like:

~ crunchy fried cantonese noodles
~ wonton soup
~ dumplings
~ shrimp dimsum
~ sweet & sour pork
~ steamed fish
~ peking duck

Italian is great! But I have to say, Chinese fills me up the most. I don't care if it's cheap, Americanized stuff, or the real stuff you get in Chinatown or China... it's all good!
I've never had Thai... nor have I had Korean (save for kimchee), but Japanese... hmm... Japanese food just can't fill me up. Their dishes are all meant to be eaten in such tiny portions... I mean, just look at sushi! You get a plate of sushi, not a bowl... I need at least 2 pounds of food to get me through the night :P

Although, ramen saves my late-night appetite ^_____^

:) Yea, I love Thai food! coz I'm Thai and I love the taste of sour mixed with a bit spicy, like Tom-Yum-Kung :drool: and everything!! also, I eat lots of Chinese food and Japanese too...Thailand is like a internatonal food country lol. Like at the morning we mostly eat bread or sandwich coz it's very convenience. At noon we might eat like noodle and for a dinner we night go out and find some good Japanese, Vietnam, Italian food, etc, u see? :D

if i had to choose between those five listed above, i'd probably go for either chinese or japanese food. it depends on how you define "chinese" and "japanese". i usually like both, however, as long as it's not a) too greasy b) too sweet and/or c) made of lots of meat.

my fave chinese dishes are (in no particular order):
- stinky tofu :drool:
- mian4 xian4 (can't type chinese on this comp :dry: )
- dimsum
- beef noodles with soup
and lots of other stuff... i don't know how to translate it into english though... :wacko:

japanese dishes:
- ramen
- sushi
- raw fish

If I could, I would vote for all 5 !. We'd discussed chinese and japanese food before, so I'll only talk about the other three.

For Italian, I'd prefer the fresh tomato based or pesto pasta. The cream based should be eaten fast while it's warm or else it'll turn disgusting. And thin & crispy pizza is always welcome. I never like Italian steaks/osso bucco (?) - it just doesn't feel that it belongs to Italian kitchen.

For Thai foods, I'm always careful to choose "bearable - chilly - degree" foods. The choices are always around mango salad, papaya salad, tom yang goong, (beef) green curry, fried chicken in pandan leaves. Oh, love the rice very much, any meals taste better with Thai rice. Also love ice coffee and durian with sticky rice (miaow !!!). Once I also tried the noodles in the floating market outside Bangkok, but couldn't find one as good as that in Bangkok.
For Korean foods, beef barbeque with kimchi and rice never dissapoint me. Also this oxtail soup - dunno whether it's typical Korean or just this local Korean/Japs restaurant creations.

Yum..yum..actually i like all types of food mentioned here,but i finally voted for Chinese food coz i eat Chinese food most of the time and yes,of coz it suits me. :happy: My favourites:Wan Tan Mee,Dim Sum,Chu Cheung Fun,Tong Yuen...and many more.

I like Thai food as well because most of them are spicy and i'm the kind of person who like spicy food.My fave:Tom Yam--even most of the instant noodles and instant cup noodles i have at my house are of Tom Yam flavour. :laughing: Ooo..i still remember once my whole family went to this Thai restaurant and we ordered lots of spicy Thai food,gosh we never thought they'll be sooo spicy(it was extremely spicy!!!).So,while eating that,we had for like 10 glasses of water (each person) and we were all sweating and eating.. :sweat: But it was fun...never before i had a great sweat like that day. :D

And Jap food:My fave...Sushi of coz..without wasabi,that is. :sweat: Honestly i used to really hate eating sushi becoz i thought they were all too raw for me.But then once,i had an opportunity to play a "sushi-game" at a friend's party,those who lost were required to choose a sushi (some of them had wasabi in it while the others didnt have).Haha...i lost a few times but i was lucky to have not chosen those with wasabi..if not i'll probably go :dead: and at the moment, i found out that sushi can be really yummy! :love:

I chose chinese because it is what I've been eating the majority of my life. And I'm just so used to it. It's great too! I've noticed that most chinese people can cook... except me. :oops: But anyways, Japanese was second because I LOVE sushi! :)

But I think I enjoy eating Japanese food the most :thumbsup: cause they look real nice and have mild test as I don't like the food too spicy. I like the elaborate decoration of the dishes. My fave dishes have got to be sushi and tempura :yeah: .

Thai food is just as great especially Tom Yam Kung ( not too spicy though ) and Kai Juew Moo Sub ( Fried egg with pork ) , as I grow up with them and eat them all the time . :yeah:

i go for japanese food! the best kind i've eaten so far....especially home made, non-commercial japanese food. got lucky that my really close friends in school are japanese and we'd have these asian dinners everyweek. she also taught me how to cook...just for fun. some days i'd cook for her too.

i havent tried korean food other than kimchi but it looks really good. i think i might like it. yummy!! :bleh:

I do like other kinds of food,Japanese sushi, la mian, Italian, Western.. Favourite for foriegn food would probably be Western? Well, cuz nothing is REALLY foreign here. We have Indian, Malay, Chinese, Western...So sort of ate most of the things around..
but for all-time favourite i would have to choose Chinese as Mum's cooking is always the best.

Taiwanese --one of my favorites!! stinky tofu, tan tan noodles, rice with these meat things on top, their appetizers, drinks..everything :)
Shanghainese --their noodles in soup are the best, and those dumplings and bread :happy:

chinese: not exactly my fave, but dont hate it either. i mean, ive been having chinese food 24/7, 3 meals a day. very used to it, sort of rubbed the attractiveness off.
korean: great teppanyaki chicken and kimchi. love sour and spicy food :drool: and their ikan bilis are weird in a nice way, a bit salty, and quite sweet. but i bought them in singapore, so not sure if they're authentic :shifty:
italian: bring it on! :laughing: i love anything with heaps of cheese. especially their famous pasta. but my fave pasta's rotini. spiral shapes are very qq. even spaghetti can be boring sometimes :rolleyes:

I voted for Thai food. I never get bored of it. And now i'm away from Thailand even make me miss it more. T_T My fav dishes are Tom-Yam-Kung , Keng-Keaw-Wan-Kai or Green curry soup with chicken, Pla-Rad-Prik or fried fish with spicy sauce on the top, and of course Som-Tum or papaya salad. In fact I like all of them. For those who never tried it, give it a try. u may like it. Just a tip for those who can't eat very spicy food, try not to order many thai spicy dishes in one meal. Thai food also have not-spicy dish too, like Kai-Jeaw-Moo-Sub or fried egg with pork. Or u can tell your waiter that u cant eat very spicy food and let them cook a little less spicy.

for italian food i really like pasta. it's yummy eapislly with muchroom cream sauce.

for chinese I like Dim-Sum a lot. I often hang out with friends end up eating Buffet Dim-Sum and chit-chat. chinese noodles are great too.

for japanese i only like Grilled fish and chicken teriyaki. i hardly eat japanese coz i dont like seaweed, raw fish and wasabi.

wow this is a hard one. of course i love chinese food because im chinese but i absolutely love korean food. anything hot spicy... kimchi <3 there is also this korean meat that i really like called bulgogi i believe and its to die for! its something in the seasoning that keeps everybody coming back for more. although i voted for korean food, i also really like japanese food, sushi mainly... especailly the hand rolls ^_^

its so so delicious and healthy especially okonomiyaki, yakisoba and takikomi gohan japanese style (rice steamed with mushrooms, sometimes chesnuts and seaweed and chicken broth: theres different variations but i love this one)

I choose Chinese though because if I were asked to eat Italian, Japanese, Korean or Thai food everyday, I cant. But I can eat Chinese food everyday because I am a Chinese :)

I am a Chinese so to me, Japanese food is foreign!

Haha.. But seriously, I prefer Japanese food, even to some common Chinese because I feel more healthy eating them. Also, one of the main reasons is that, Japanese food, at least to me, do not seem to be as oily as most Chinese food.

I hate oily stuff, so that includes Italian food, where I always end up eating the spagetti with olive oil in it.. *yucks* [by the way, i am a reluctant vegetarian and hence, there is not much for me to eat on the Italian menu.]

I never much liked Korean kimchi though, and I prefer my food not to be spicy most of the time. But when I eat, I don't bother, I just eat. Wahahahaha.

hmm... i like all of them on the list, but i really like the taste of korean food, maybe because it's spicy and i like spicy food a lot and could drink all the spicy sauce in my house. haha... well, i like chinese, and japanese food a lot too.

For me, it's definitely Italian. I'm Chinese so of course I love Chinese food, and I really love Japanese food as well, but if it comes down to a choice I'd pick Italian over it all. I'm a total pasta person - I love all these thick, rich, creamy, fattening, sinful Italian pastas, sauces, soups and desserts!

OMG just thinking about it is making me hungry. Anyway, for any Singaporeans here who are into authentic Italian cuisine, I recommend this restaurant called Garibaldi in the Seah Street area. It's kinda expensive, but the food is more than worth it. Best Italian food I've ever tasted!

me definitely italian. i love every kind they have, its ALL GOOD. but i had chinese allllll my life (still right now), and was a chef for my father, japanese too expensive for too little, and i was a a chef so i ate too much of it already. never tried korean or thai before. i heard thai had alot of flavors mixed.

i hav to sick wiv chinese!!! all the other cuisines are ace too...but can NEVER get sick of chinese!!!
i esp. love yum cha snacks, the typical westernised chinese foods....and all those asian *dian xin*!!!! mmmm.....the only chinese food i dont like r those weird animals parts....eg. duck tongue, pig legs, chicken legs....etc....although, i hav tried cows head....really good if u dont think of the meat as coming off the head!!!

Definitely Chinese food , coz i'm a viet-chinese and it's on the meal everyday. European food is quite ..uhm..maybe not fit me ><. Thai and Korean food is way so spicy and Japanese food..i rarely have chance to eat :oops:

I simple love Japanese foods to bits. Sushi, Sashimi, Ramen, Udon, Yakiniku, Tori-Q, Curry, Agedashi Tofu, Tepanyaki. They are all very delicious.

Indonesian foods are better than Japanese foods though. As an Indonesian, I still believe that my hometown has the best food ever. Cheap and delicious :)

I'm usually opened to taste & eat all different types of food,especially the ones in the poll.However,I picked Japanese food because I'm a big fan of sushi & I also love the other sushii(leann) lollll !!!
