Ideal artist to sing a duet with Jay

I'm not sure how many of you think that Jolin is not the greatest person to sing duets with Jay, but who do you think is? I personally would want to see a song written by Jay to be sung by Faye Wong... I'm not sure about a duet though. It would be awesome though; to blend two amazing music artists together.. it'd overflowing with talent.... or somehow get Lin Xi to write some lyrics as well.... oh my goodness. I smell an instant hit! But hey, this is my fantasy song duet with Jay singing. What's yours?

i personally would in any way want him to sing a rhythm and blues song with craig david [although that is not likely going to happen anytime soon! :laughing:] but it would be really great to hear two of the best soul singers sing a nice song together. so there's my pick. :happy:

i think jay should try a duet with an non-chinese speaking artist. how about a japanese or korean artist? why not, alex to has done 'breaking the rules' with diva and also a great japanese/chinese duet song called 'why' that few know about with a tomomi gal. also, yuki hsu done that very well known song with yoo seung jun 'can't wait'.

all seem to be very successful and has internation appeal. i'm not sure about his popularity in korea or japan but it will certainly broaden his appeal in those countries if he hasn't already.

hmm...I duuno...but I agree with wackome, no one! Jay's voice is unique and it will ruin his song if he sang it with another artist

but if I was really to choose, it'll have to be David Tao...female artist, probably Vivian? I dunno how they will sound together but it'll definately sound nice hehe^^

i think the ideal person should be stefanie sun. her voice is very good and has character , it would nice to hear their duet. hope that we can hear their duet one day, however don't think it's very possible because both of them belong to different record companies

I would love to hear Jay sing with Ah Mei! I thought they sounded kind of cool in Shou qian shou. Although Jay's voice is soft comparing to Ah Mei's. It would be very interesting to hear them sing together.

You guys are going to think that I"m really crazy for suggesting this but I think the Smashing Pumpkins should get back together, with Jay Chou in the group and they should write music together. Billy Corgan and Jay Chou are such musical geniouses, and it might sound like a strange combination but I think they're both really original and they could come out with something really incredible! Seriously! and I love the other members of the pumpkins too. they're talented, especially James Iha. Then I could see them all in concert together!!! :D

Stephanie Sun for sure!!! Her voice is actually distinguishable among so many chinese female singers and its very unique (not the typical sweet high pitch voice), I bet they could go for a soft alternative/rock ballad or even an upbeat song so Jay can rap in the background as well as sing with her!

Maybe Elva too cause she's cool and cause I like her ^^. I was thinking Utada Hikaru, but then Hikki's voice is so unique in her own way too that I think it'd just be weird with Jay. And OH!!!! Eminem....... that would be so COOL!!!!!!!!!! Just imagine, Eminem and his angry facade and Jay with his shy outlook..... that would be hilarious!

the combination of ah mei and jay's voice really sounds good. when their voices overlapped in the song, shou qian shou, it sounded really nice. but i also like vivian and jay because i heard them sing tornado. i feel this chemistry between them so i would love to listen to them sing a duet...

1st : a*mei..coz damn impressed with their combi at shou qian shou..pep-ed up the song .. both can r&b if they wan to..can ballad also..imagine jay making "ting hai" a soul song..
