Ok, i'm bad at this. Had 7.. They even commented that obviously i cant tell the difference. :blush: yea, i couldn't really tell. I chose chinese for most of them though. And had a hard time trying to differentiate between korean and Jap. Tried using my skills from watching those Korean/Jap dramas. :wacko:

i got 8. i just passed the average mark! it's hard though trying to differentiate faces, especially the korean and japanese ones. they look quite similar. some chinese faces were pretty obvious but for the rest, i guess.

I remember this! :D I've known about this site for awhile. I think I only got like 6...and I thought that I was good at telling Asians apart T_T I always do that when I see Asians walking around campus-try to figure out their ethinicites. Sometimes it's really obvious, other times it can be kinda tricky, like in this quiz :wink2:

Damn.. that was hard. I only managed to get 6. The population of Japanese and Koreans is very low in Ontario, Canada. Most of our province is populated with Vietnamese and Chinese and I know to distinguish between those two nationalities very well mainly due to their eyes. On average, Vietnamese people have double eyelids i.e. Me, more than Chinese, or they're like Jay where they're hidden.

I know when I visitted California, my cousins pointed out a lot of Koreans due to their hair.. however, seems like when I didn't know which to pick, judging by their hair just threw me off.

This was a fun random quiz...but didn't you just spend the whole time going: "err...they're....they look.... umm....Asian!!! I know I have this much right?, Right?". You can't tell from the pictures alone, but maybe watching a silent video recording to see their mannerisms & attitude could give a much better idea.

We can't encourage the idea of a diverse & multi-cultural society (and expect the same in return), if we can't see see beyond the beauty of diversity in our own ethnicity. :D

Oh...and I guessed all the girls with dark lipsticks as Koreans. :dry:

I got 7. This used to be a source of embarrasment for me. I figured it was really "white of me" not to be able to tell the difference. (I am a past-life Asian)I got over it when I dated a Japanese gal here in San Francisco. She was raised in Tokyo.

We enjoyed eating at Korean and Chinese reataurants and wherever we were the waiters would try to speak to her in Korean or Chinese.

One time we were at a sushi bar and she tried to order in Japanese but the sushi shef was Vietnamese.

Nobody ever tried to speak to me in anything but English & half the time when I tried asking questions in Japanese I'd get an answer in English.

this was really hard...I did this with my sister last time...we collectively got 6/18...we did okay with the girls but we really couldn't tell the guys apart...and there were some where the two of us were debating haha...

Japanese girls are kind of easy to spot...but it's hard with Koreans because all the pretty ones seem to have gotten surgery (sorry)...

Mostly, Korean girls tend to have more defined bone structures and wider eyes...whereas Japanese girls have cat's eyes...and then the more regular-looking ones are Chinese hahaha (again no offense...I'm Chinese too...)

I can tell whether someone's Korean from 10 metres, although sometimes it's hard to distinguish between Koreans and Japs. You wouldn't normally get Chinese people mixed up with other Asians though, that's kinda weird. :?

A Chinese person has the "Chinese" look and a Korean person has this "Korean" look. It's very hard to explain exactly what I mean, but when you see an Asian dude you can tell if they are Chinese or Korean or even Japanese. And for me, I can tell the difference between a Mandarin person and a Cantonese person if you are Chinese. Haha, sounds silly, but it's very true.

I think this is because I live in Canada and it really doesnt matter who you are, we're very multicultural so I've never spent the time actually looking at the difference between these races. It was sort of hard. For some you can tell the difference but for others you had to take a while! I usually just look at their names and the way they talk to differentiate between the races too. :D

To be honest, I do think of Chinese, Japanese and Koreans as one big family. And I do think that getting a make over and make up on is one of the few differences between us.

I am Chinese and often get confused for being Japanese or Korean, in fact some Japanese people thought I was Japanese. It just shows, there are telltale signs of where you come from just judging by looks, but it's difficult.

Oi. I got nine out of the eighteen. O_O And I am Asian. That is pretty said. Although, I think it is different when you see them in person. For me, I look at the face, eyes, and teeth. And then I take the fashion and the way they walk into consideration, too. It is much harder when you just have the picture. >__<
