she used to be a cute/bad girl  and returned as a badass WOMAN..
personally i think she rules!! her songs are hard to sing along with but her voice is so amazing :excited: .. no one can have a voice like hers.. i'm a fan of her too !!

musically and lyrically she's FANTASTIC!! there's no question about it.... it's just her image that's the problem. she doesn't have to dress like that to get attention.

ok.. Her music is ok I guess, some songs are really good.
Her image on the other hand..... ha! I liked her previous image. Ever seen, "Come on over?" I thought she looked like the hottest girl on the face of the earth there dude! Now what do I see? A fake tan, dyed gothic gothic black hair with the tackiest style and revealing clothing? Besides, girls posing half nude and giving the finger just doesn't turn me on either.. hah!

You've said everything I wanted to say! :bleh: I still love her voice though. At least she can really sing, unlike Britney.

Christina...hmmz...I like her image last time...u noe, when she just started out. Look really sweet and nice...but now...well...everybody changed and try something different. Well now...I like her songs and not forgetting her voice. She can really sing not like those other female artists for example, britney spears...

She was so gorgeous in the "Come On Over" vid. I LOVED her hair. She started looking really bad when she dyed her hair black. Now it's all dead looking and wig-like. And her make up is always over the top. And you've mentioned the rest.
But I like her for her music. No one can deny she's talented and no one can say that she's only famous because of her revealing image or provocative clothing. I also like her attitude and how she just doesn't give a crap about what other people say and think. She says she's just being true to herself.. so *shrugs*

i used to like her during her genie in a bottle days. but then she became this irritating singer/wanna be. she claims to be unlike britney spears but when you think about it, they're both these posers, trying hard to be sex symbols.
such a shame coz she has a really nice voice.

At least she didn't make any claims about her virginity or chastity. :shifty: Britney was pathetic.

exactly... and for the most part she accepts responsiblity for what she does or doesn't do. unlike some.. umph...*britney*... who likes to place blame elsewhere. i hate it when she plays dumb and acts like she didn't foresee the consequences... ...psh!!
the werid thing is, christina knows that her image hurts her career and yet she still does it... so perhaps, she's fighting some personal battle or doing some exploring..... or maybe this is just who she is.
did anyone see her during the opening of SNL? she had her hair tied back and was wearing a nice black suit.... omg!! she looked amazing......

well, i find her voice very powerful..no doubt about it.. but i also dont like her image now.. i mean their reasons of changing their image is that they have to grow mature..and they are old enough to make their own decisions...etch...i feel like she's just going to the flow...
i have a question did she enhance her breast?..it's much bigger now than before..

Not sure... Some girls do not become women until much later, like in their late teens. The normal age is early teens. Anyhow, some women's bodies won't become fully developed until their early twenties. Which means some parts would have the chance of achieving the maximum growth until then. And by the way, when a woman starts taking birth control pills, her cup size may also increase. Or it could simply be the wonders of push-up bras. :wink2: Not sure about the authenticity of Christina's twin peaks, but Britney's sure are questionable!

Christina is one singer that has a depth in her voice...she is able to bring out her emotions through her songs......a talented musician who would have other much, than publicity about her image, more going on for her.Nowadays, when you usually see christina on news, one thing they are mentioning is how she has strong voice but her image is totally way over....i feel that is a waste of her talent...because instead of talking of how her music is soulful.....the first thing that always come on people's mind when she is mentioned is "Sex sells". But then,if she is doing what she always wanted to,then that is good....but is it at the expense of her career.

Ya..i totally agree with you...she got the lokks and talent....she can hit high nothes unlike britney....the only prob that bothers most of us is her image...she's trying to be someone she's not..maybe she's self concious or just showing off her -opps-
But i heard she causes lots of troubles with other artistes such as Eminem,Britney,Pink and Westlife...

Christina--um i think she's ok (at least i think she's better than Britney). She has the looks and a really wonderful voice.I just love her 'Beautiful".She did a fantastic job in belted out "Beautiful" so beautifully  .
Anyway,i think it's such a shame that she used her "body" to promote her album.I mean, she has got a really powerful voice and she didnt really need to strip naked just to promote her album..and her music.I know her album's name is 'Stripped'....but that doesnt mean she must strip naked.. :glug:

also another thing to consider is the fact that she has gained weight recently and is at a more healthy weight compared to her old skinny self, and as most of us know, breasts are made mostly of fat, when you lose or gain weight your breast size can increase and decrease as well.
I love christina because her voice is awesome =]
and her image was sort of scary for awhile, but lately she is cleaning up. Nothing bugs me more than her tan though ^^;;
She's beautiful :]

she's really pretty but i think she's been messing with herself too much lately. i can't tell if that's really her or if she's trying to produce some effect (wonder if she has a publicist?). anyway though, i like her overall, even over britney. her music and voice - should be what the music industry is about :P

Christina's music is powerful lyrically and vocally. So what if she's reinvented her image? I still says that she's 100x prettier than Britney Spears-- I mean honestly Britney's only talent is playing with the media and trying to sell music on that image.
Christina is inputting some much needed female empowerment in the industry and in society in general. I mean remember that whole Spice Girls deal with the phrase Girl Power?" (god those nightmares are returning to me)? Anyways it was something like that, but Christina's message is for sure more mature and influental if you ask me. I definately recommend that you give her Stripped album a listen to and really listen to the lyrics and her vocal abillity.
Here's some nice female empowered lyrics ^____^
Christina Aguilera feat. Lil' Kim -Can't Hold Us Down-
2nd verse--
So what am I not supposed to say what I'm saying
Are you offened with the message I'm bringin'
Call me whatever 'cause your words don't mean a thing
Coz you ain't even a man enough to handle what I sing
If you look back in history it's a common double standard of society
The guy gets all the glory, the more he can score
While the girl can do the same and yet you call her a whore
I don't understand why its OK,
The guy can get away with it while any girl gets named
All my ladies come together and make a change
And start a new beginning for us,everybody sing
Lil' Kim:
Here's something I just can't understand
If the guy have three girls then he's a man
He can either give her some head, or sex her raw
If the girl do the same, then she's a whore
But the table's about to turn
I'll bet my fame on it
Cats take my ideas and put their name on it
It's aight though, you can't hold me down
I got to keep on movin'
To all my girls with a man who be tryin to mack
Do it right back to him and let that be that
You need to let him know that his game is whack
And Lil' Kim and Christina Aguilera got your back

her voice is amazing, it's strong in a non "shreaky" way.. like at the grammy's, she sang that song and it was amazing how long she could hold a note so strong! a lot of people have said this and that about artists, and i think the thing you have to do, is not really look at their physical characteristics, but look at their music and base your opinion only at their music..
my friend a while ago was listening to a azn guy named.. i think it was hoo yen bing.. something like that and so she thought he sang very good and i have to say, he did sing pretty good! and at this little Radio Award Ceremony, he won this award and my friend's like," that's hoo yen bing! boy he's ugly" but she still listened to his music and liked him a lot.. so physical characteristics don't really matter! a lot of people say jay chou is ugly, but when they hear his music and his piano playing, they're amazed!
Love the voice, so soulful and strong, but her music, eh... its ok, but I like how she has a lot of combination in her music and not just "pop". However, I don't listen to her music that much and really just try to avoid her because I think she's just trying to hard to fit the bad girl/woman persona. I think she's beautiful and she doesn't have to act all slutty... she's a musician, her music should come first not how her wardrobe looks (though looks does help ^_^)

she attributes her breast enlargements to her wonderbra... she mentioned that on the radio once. but she's also gained a lot of weight. i don't remember which performace it was but she was wearing really tight black leather with thigh high boots singing fighter... she really gained a lot back then, but now she's slimmed down again, albeit not like as skinny as before.

don't like her rock chick look she looks way betta without the tan and the black hair it doesn't suit her.

I think Christina Aguilera is ok. I mean i like her voice and her music, but not her image. At first when she came out i loved her cuz she was so cute and pretty. Now, she is too wild and showing too much clevage. An example would be her picture on her cd. Shes not even wearing a top. Her hair was covering her parts. I liked her blonde hair or was it brown? Not sure, but anyways black isnt her style. Its more for asians. She does have a great body and all but she doesnt need to show it off. I like the old Christina much better. My favorite song from her new album is Cant hold us down. Pretty good song.

I guess most people like her voice and songs but the only thing they don't is her image, attitude...
She changed a lot...in a big way. From starting innocent to whoa...bad? I mean she was pretty much covered and then now...its mostly bare. I used to like the clothes she wore when she started out...for her 1st album but now.

I love her black hair I think she looks so more mature and heaps less childish. Her album "Stripped" is still one of my all time favourite albums the cd is just so well written. She has a amazing voice way better then most of the asian artists now.(no offense)

Well i think she's like jay abit...she writes some of her own songs, and i can't hear her words sumtimes either! she doesn't mumble it, but changes the prenounciation abit. i like her tan, shows that she doesn't care what color skin u are...i know sounds silly, and the black hair i recon its good. she is a bit rude. she needs abit of destiny's child into her..."girl where's ur P-R_I_D_E?" from that song "nasty"
x_tina
04-25-2004, 12:21 AM
stripped is one of my favourite albums too! i was really shocked because i think practically all except for maybe 3 songs are lyrically fantastic. my favourite song has got to be the voice within... and fighter.
i don't really like the tan-look on her. i remember she did it once and she looked orange... probably one of those self-tanning products.
She has a amazing voice way better then most of the asian artists now.(no offense)
agreed. in fact, she sings better than most western artists too! the closest asian artist that could even remotely be compared to christina vocally would have to be coco lee... but she still lacks depth musically and lyrically.

I know eh. I watched this Britney Spears concert on TV the other day and she mimed EVERY performance! With the exception of Everytime... maybe.. if she had to lip-synch THAT, then she's so hopeless. Seriously, I think it's ridiculous holding a concert if you're just going to play the CD.
Stripped is one of my fave albums too. I love The Voice Within! I kept hearing it on the radio all the time and I totally loved it and needed to buy her CD, hehe. Before Stripped I was kinda "ehh" about Christina, but now she's probably my fave female artist.

as ppl said,
Britney is more hypocritical since u know, she's not the way she behaved, she's not the way she dresses, u know, sometimes wild, sometimes trying to be all girly and nice...but What comes out of Xtina's mouth is mostly true cuz she's X'tina and she is what she does.
I love 'the voice within', 'I'm okay' and 'walk away' cuz those are the songs that shows her greatest vocal.

even though i think both are abit slutty still, britney mostly, but wots the point in showing so much skin? they might as well become porn stars! besides, while britney was making excuses for being slutty by saying "oh was it too sexy for them?" Cristina tells us why, and its kinda true...she does it coz she wants to, and how she gets annoyed that men get away for it. like a example "can't hold us down" like if a male singer posed in their underwear, we don't complain ( and i wouldn't want to either, haha joke =) ) and the other men also don't complain, yet if u see a girl pose in her underwear we all complain, she's just tryin to make things abit mre even i think, but those pics in her album i recon still wasn't neccersary ( soz, can't spell, hehe)

I was just gonna say "what's wrong with the pics in her album?" and then I flipped through the jacket and realised she's naked in one pic and topless in some others  I don't hold it against her though because she's not JUST a sex symbol, she has substance and talent beneath it all. Plus, her album is called Stripped hehe

well, I get annoyed and confused with the word "sex symbol" y do people call each other that? i mean, i personally don't think there is a "sex symbol" just that people wanna be them, like every celeb, but y? y would they want people to think about their body more than themselves? thats just shallow, theres a difference between looking nice or tryin too hard, which trying too hard is my idea of sex symbol. i think its pathetic when people think about celebs when they think about sex, it should be some one who they feel worth doing it with. sorry, haha off topic just abit, i dunno why but i just have something against using that phrase! haha. well, yeah i guess her album is ok. yeah its called stripped, about being urself and stuff, i guess she meant it litterally awell, but i do like her album

i liked her a lot, as many of us did, when her first album came out. but then she changed, for better or worse i'm not really sure. i don't listen to her stuff anymore. and now she dresses really .. scandalous-ly/ skank-ily. that's like britney spears too. no offense to britney/christina fans out there. how voice is amazing though. i watched some sort of awards ceremony last time (earlier this year i think), i think it was the grammys or something, and she was just singing her heart out to "beautiful." i think she's more talented that way than britney spears. (again, sorry to britney fans. i just don't think britney's voice is that authentic. i was watching her on tv singing live, and it was not amazing.)

Like everyone's said... This girl can really sing. Seriously. I never really have thought about this before, but the other day I was listening to her music and I just realized... She has a really powerful voice and amazing vocals. Her tone is clan and deep and she can seriously. Really. Sing. I don't know how much it means to you guys, but for America to have someone as good as her... Oh man. I feel like a dork now. .__. I don't know why, either. XD
But yeah, her image sort of. Bleh, go put some clothes on. Either that or get out of the picture. x__x I really don't want to see five year olds running around topless and claiming it's because Christina Aguilera does it. o___o But yeah. It's nice that she wants to do whatever she wants, but I really don't like it. And the whole thing with her black hair and tan and stuff... x.x; Yeah. I'm not going to go into that.
Before, in her Genie In A Bottle days, I didn't really notice her... Yeah, I was all, "hey she's good," and stuff, but I didn't really notice. And then came "Beautiful" and I went, "Holy effin' hi thurr." That song is just amazing. That and "The Voice Within." Songs these days don't have lyrics like that. It's just superly fun. :D
I'm done now.
Btw, nice BritneyxMadonnaxChristina pics. XD <3

on the mtv awards, i saw clips of christina in a duet with the rapper nelly. it seemed pretty cool. the song is new, i guess there wasnt much of a suprise, without no britney and madonna. she had a new hair style, i heard the song was pretty steamy, the performance too. i would've liked to see that performance, cos nelly looked hot :) she has a new hair color too! its' like redish brown?

good news people especially for christina fans!
"Christina Aguilera is getting Back to Basics with her third album, and she's finally settled on a release date: August 15. Songs include "I Got Trouble," "Candy Man," "Save Me From Myself," "Nasty Naughty Boy," "Thank You" — and in case you thought she wasn't, "Still Dirrty." "This is a concept album that follows a bold, set vision," Aguilera said. "The touchstones are Billie Holiday, Otis Redding, Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald ... what I used to call my 'fun music' when I was a little girl." The first single, "Ain't No Other Man," is out June 12, but Aguilera will world-premiere the song on the MTV Movie Awards, airing June 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. ..."

I've heard the first single, Ain't No Other Man and I thought it's not that good.
It isn't catchy and in my own opinion, it's not even single-able.
Is it just me or her new record isn't going to be as commercially and
critically successful compared to her previous ones?

Is it just me or her new record isn't going to be as commercially and critically successful compared to her previous ones?
I think artists just need to prove to their recording labels that they will sell before they are given creative rein on the projects they want to do. Perhaps commercially it won't be as successful, but I would prefer to see an artist create music they believe in. Mainstream tastes change (slightly) due to artists who dare to be different.
I'm looking forward to her new CD

B I am so excited. Yes, I'm a fan. I love her talent & her guts. Shoot, Etta James respects her... thats an awesome read. Thanks for the links. I like this quote (http://www.mtvasia.com/News/200605/02013356.html):
"People thought she could sing before — well, you haven't heard anything yet," Perry said. "But it's definitely a risky record. It's not Stripped at all. ... She's completely in a different space."
You a big fan from way back too?

Pei: Yes, I'm a fan until now. Though I'm a big Britney fan, I also like Xtina.
She's my 3rd most favorite female artist after Britney and Kelly Clarkson.
Back in high school, I always get stuck in the middle when my classmates
stage a fiery debate on who is a better artist, Britney or Christina.
I'm like the referee and the reliable source of record sales.
Her new record is a huge undertaking.
No artist in the past few years has succeeded on making a platinum record out of a retro album.
I like Christina because she has the guts to show her talent
and versatility even if it means taking a risk like this in times
when commercial success is more important than critical acclaim.

I've always like Christina over Britney
You can recognize real talent in Christina.
She was in singing competitions ever since she was like 5.
Her voice range is like 2-3 octaves, no ordinary pop singer can do that...
She is soooo talented...
I loved her song "Reflection" is it?
The interviewers for this song, couldnt find a person who had a voice range to sing it...and when they found the young christina....they were like WHOA!~

Her voice range is like 2-3 octaves, no ordinary pop singer can do that...
But Britney was also a singing competition veteran at the age of 7.
She wasn't gifted with a 3 octave voice though. :shy:
A vocal range of 3-4 octaves is extremely rare and I'm awed by artists
like Christina who possess that incredible talent.
I loved her song "Reflection" is it?

Hey hey hey!!!
The song Reflection was originally sung by Filipino singer-actress Lea Salonga (http://www.leasalonga.com/)
long before Christina did a cover version for the Mulan soundtrack.
I like her version though because Lea's was way too soft and soothing.

But yes, like you said, Christina has an extremely wide vocal range. And I really admire her for her powerful voice. Yes, powerful is the word to describe it.
Like joa, I've always liked Christina over Britney. Because I think she can sing with so much emotions. Like I've said before, Christina is more of a singer, while Britney is more of a performer. Both are incredibly talented in their fields.

Back to topic.
So you're now a fan of Christina eh? I remember you saying a while back that you were a fan of Britney. :shifty:
As I've said, Britney is still my number 1 favorite while Christina is my third fave. :wink2:
I like them both. But I enjoyed their rivalry.
Like joa, I've always liked Christina over Britney. Because I think she can sing with so much emotions. Like I've said before, Christina is more of a singer, while Britney is more of a performer. Both are incredibly talented in their fields.
Yes, that's right. Britney is more of a performer than an artist.
It's easy to see Christina's talent because of her powerful voice
while you have to watch one of Britney's concerts to say that she is talented as well.
Pei: Yup, I'm still a fan. I'm always very loyal when it comes to my favorite artists.
I don't care if they're rude or stupid in real life.
I only care for their music and the image that they project music-wise.
Britney has been my number 1 fave since 1999 until now, despite the fact that I hated
most of the things she's done in the past like being Jason Alexander's wife for a few hours
and now being a mother to K-Ferret's son. But that's about it.
I still like her music. Plus, I deny genres. I have a wide variety of music I listen to
and I just happen to enjoy anything that sounds pleasant to my ears.
Christina's latest, Ain't No Other Man, is an exception though 'cause I'm not fond of it.
I dunno. Maybe I need to listen to that song over and over again 'til it grows into me.
You know what I mean?
By the way, I don't know much about retro music
(Perhaps that's why I don't appreciate Xtina's new venture at the moment?)
so I don't have the figures.

Aww Brent, I missed everyone too... Especially members of the D4... Been really caught up with a lot of issues in my life lately. Back to topic now...
I'm always very loyal when it comes to my favorite artists.
I don't care if they're rude or stupid in real life.
I only care for their music and the image that they project music-wise.
I so agree with that statement. That's how I view my fav artists too. I don't really care about their public image and their scandals whatsoever, I like and support them because of their music and it'll stay that way.
Like the Backstreet Boys for instance. I know I know, everyone is probably going  now and all... But yes, I'm a fan since their debut back in 1997, and though their stories outside music hasn't been very good the past few years, I still support them all the way.
Like what you said it is easier to see Christina's talent, because people hear her more than they see her. As for Britney, I've seen clips of her performing live and in her MVs and all, and I must say she is an extremely talented performer. I'm okay with her music, but I think her ability to perform outshines her singing abilities.

Phil Omg. BSB fan!! I remember being 16 and loving Brian from BSB. I shan't gush, but I remember making vows with my best friend that we would go to Disneyland in the States, and see BSB play live. She is now a doctor and married, but I bet if I asked how she still feels about those 'boys', she would still gush.
She (Christina) performed Mariah Carey's "Vision of Love" on local TV nailing every riff, including the dog-whistle altissimos, at only 10 years old. Legend also has it that Jessica Simpson was scared off from a vocal audition because it was coming after hers
ut I never want to get to the place where I'm so...I dunno, diva-ed out for people that have admired me to be around me." Like it was for Aguilera to be around say, Mariah Carey. "She was never cool to me," she says, "to the point that one time we were at a party and I think she got really drunk, and she had just really derogatory things to say to me in front of..." she trails off. "but it was at that time that she had that breakdown, so she might have been very medicated."
Kaye21 There's a mention of that in the GQ article too.
GQ Article June 2006: Christina Aguilera - White Heat (http://www.christinamultimedia.com/newssource/index.php?articleID=9271)

ET/PT. ..."

Q: What's going to be the hot sound of summer?
A: I want to see Christina Aguilera's concert so bad. She's performing at the awards. Her new album is absolute fire. I went to her house and got a sneak peak. It's hot and modern and has dance tracks, but then she also has a throwback to Billie Holiday.
Brent - Sometimes I find a bitch is just a realistic woman who is not afraid to express herself. Haha. Mariah is talented, but no one can deny she went through a crazy stage... and plus M's response to C sounds patronising and psychotic

now i've read her new album is going to be a double-disc album!
"The first half is based upon working with more beat-driven producers and will use samples and things like that, and then the second disc is all me and Linda Perry," Aguilera told MTV. Perry, ex-vocalist in 4 Non Blondes, worked previously with Aguilera on the hit song "Beautiful."
The pop singer also said that her new album also draws musical inspiration from her favourite decades — the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s — "with elements of jazz, blues and soul music combined with a modern-day twist, like hard-hitting beats."
The double-album is slated for an August 15th release."

I'm anticipating Christina's new album too. I love Stripped, and I'm glad she takes her sweet time creating good music, unlike Asian artists who churn something out every 6 months.
I'm not too fond of Ain't No Other Man though. It's not my style at all, I don't like the big-band fast tempo jazziness. I LOVE IT when she does the slow, smokey, bluesy songs.. like Walk Away, or her cover of At Last.. songs you can just chillax to and appreciate her voice, and pretend you can sing as well as her, haha.

Her newest music video is out!
Ain't No Other Man MV (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSKy277rW14)
Christina has gone very retro indeed but the video is quite classy and stylish,
reminiscent of her stint in the Lady Marmalade music video.
And she's also done the same thing in the video for Tilt Ya Head Back with Nelly.
I wonder if the song she sings at the beginning and at the end of the video
(the 'trouble' one) will be her next single.
That song reminds me of her jazz number at the Grammy Awards.

Christina Aguilera weeps for hubby
LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - Christina Aguilera is so in love with her husband she cries when she thinks about him.
The 'Dirrty' singer - who married music executive Jordan Bratman last November - insists she has never felt so strongly about anyone ever before.
She told Britain's Grazia magazine: "I've never been so in love, so happy or felt so alive. I start to cry when I think of everything he has brought into my life. It still feels overwhelming to have married that one person who I completely love and adore."
Despite her love for Jordan, Christina admits it took her a while to get used to being called Mrs Bratman.
She added: "The title takes you off guard a little bit at the beginning, but to call someone your husband is a pretty amazing feeling."

Christina Aguilera: neat freak
LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - Christina Aguilera says she is an "organisation freak".
The 'Dirrty' singer has revealed she is compulsive about being organised and admits she is a "perfectionist".
She confessed to USA Weekend magazine: "I am a perfectionist by nature. I'm an organizational freak. My label maker is my best friend. It's to the point where sometimes it annoys even me."
The 25-year-old, who appeared on US show 'Star Search' before she became famous, has also admitted she would never enter a talent showlike 'American Idol'- because the judge's criticism would upset her too much.
She is reported by contactmusic.com as saying: "It's great for the kids to show their talents - and if this is what they really want to do, that's a great way to start.
"I'm not sure I would enter now if I was trying to make it though. The judges are so critical - I would be too afraid to fail!"

I LOVE this woman's voice! I'm totally in love with her song, I Turn To You. I know its not a new song or anything, but I really like it alot. The lyrics, the meaning, the emotions put in it and her voice is really strong in the song too. That furthermore stresses on the power of it.
Her new album, Back To Basics, well I'm kind of disappointed with it I guess. None of the songs inside appealed to me, maybe except 'Hurt'. I don't know, that's just my opinion. ^_^
Some of her other songs I like include Reflection, the theme to Mulan.
I think she isn't well recieved by some people because of her thing with Justin Timberlake over Britney Spears...something like that? *is not too sure*
But she still does have a great voice.

xtina has alot more style at least in this bikini cover as in her dirrtyx time i think?
altho she has a super sexy expression in eyes and face ^^ XD
and anyhow, well she rellay reminds me of marylin monroe
is she xtinas idol?
linny

^ I don't think that Marilyn Monroe is her idol as far as image goes for her album at least? I haven't read anything where Christina has said she's following Marilyn Monroe, but it's possible. She has cited many classic actresses as her model for style for Back to Basics like Ava Gardner. I like the more classic Hollywood look though that magazine cover is kind of... yeah.
Kind of random but does it bother anyone else when Christina's written Xtina? I never actually think "Christina" when I read "Xtina". I always think "Crosstina" or "X-tina" o.O

Yup, that mediocre magazine cover didn't do any justice to her new image. :worry:
I like her 1920's to 40's look, she's doing very well.
She reminds me of Chicago, one of my favorite movies.
Anyway, to those who haven't gotten her new album yet, it's up in here (http://jay-chou.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19991).
Check it out. The long wait is indeed worth it! :shiny:

Christina Aguilera mocks producer in new album
Source (http://news.sawf.org/Entertainment/18191.aspx)
Washington, August 12: Pop singer Christina Aguilera has started a new war of words by subtly poking fun at super-producer Scott Storch on her new album Back To Basics.
The pop star signs off on the track F.U.S.S. with the line, "Looks like I didn't need you/Still got the album out," after berating the hip-hop hitmaker for walking away from her new album to concentrate on working with Paris Hilton.
"By no means am I trying to start anything... I just needed to get things off my chest," she was quoted by Contactmusic, as saying.
The producer recently told the same publication that he and Aguilera had fallen out when she refused to send a jet to pick him up in Florida and fly him out to Los Angeles, where she was recording.
Aguilera laughs, "An airplane? I thought he was supposed to be a big baller (super rich)."

just saw her special on MTV!! she's such an awesome singer with such a powerful voice!! i liked the song she sang about her mother called 'oh mother', but i can't help but feel that it's kinda a repetition of 'i'm ok' from her stripped album..

Although I've never been a crazy Christina fan but I always liked her songs. It's really.. one of a kind?
The GQ cover is a bit .. disturbing lol.. but sometimes, I really like her normal classy dressing style.
I haven't listened to her entire album yet but so far I like most of the tracks like Here to Stay and Hurt.. and the Intro.

I'm listening to her new album yet again.
I'm loving it even more as I give it a full repeated spin.
So far, I like 19 out of all the 22 tracks in the album.
My favorites are Candyman, Naughty Nasty Boy, The Right Man, Slow Down Baby and Oh, Mother.
It's nice that the songs in this album are written for different people.
Ain't No Other Man for her beau Jordan Bratman, Oh Mother for her mom,
Thank You to her fans and some songs referring to her foes.

I love her voice. She's so talent. Everytime I hear her voice, I want to sing like her. Her new album is so soulful. I saw when she sung Oh Mother on MTV, she was crying and everything. That's from her soul!

Bratman Saved Aguilera From 'snakes'
Source (http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/entertainment/Bratman+Saved+Aguilera+From++snakes+.-22035.html)
Bratman Saved Aguilera From 'snakes'.... Christina Aguilera is thrilled she met husband Jordan Bratman, because he saved her from unscrupulous 'snakes' who tried to take advantage of her.
The Dirrty singer made a conscious decision to surround herself with positive influences after repeatedly being burned by people who did not have her best interests at heart.
Aguilera claims her past experiences left her cautious: "I had huge, huge trust issues, and not only with men, but also with people in general.
"Especially getting success at a young age - you're going to have a lot of snakes around you. People who want to take from you anything they can. Who latch on.
"I've had so many crazies around me.
She claims Bratman is comfortable with her success saying, "I find males in the spotlight to be a bit full of themselves - the ones I encounter anyway.
"(I chose) a strong man who is not intimidated by what I do, which is another issue for a woman who is successful - finding a man who can deal with it.
"Truly, an angel came to me the day I met my husband".
Aguilera Weary Of War With Carey
In other related news Aguilera is desperate to put her feud with Mariah Carey behind her, and insists she was naive to talk so honestly about their stormy relationship in the past.
The Ain't No Other Man told GQ magazine earlier this year (06) that Carey had been scathing about her on several occasions, and that the We Belong Together singer made derogatory comments about her at a party.
Carey hit back at the time, saying she would forgive Aguilera's comments and "keep her in my prayers".
Aguilera now tells Allure magazine, "She hasn't been nice to me, no.
"But honestly, I don't want to give her any more attention by even talking about it".
She adds wearily, "Like I said, sometimes honesty is my downfall".

Saw an MTV Special for her, and i think the way she is moving for her career in music is really great, to test out different types of music for her albums

i've always really respected chrisina aguilera. her voice is AMAZING. and i love all her songs- i like how she dedicated a song on her album to her fans. not many artists do that. :) i've listened to her new album and i feel that it's very personal and raw and just full of personal experiences. it's hard to see a celebrity with that kind of honesty these days.

Christina Aguilera dumps junk food,
Source (http://www.lse.co.uk/ShowbizNews.asp?Code=KW163702Z&headline=christina_aguilera_dumps_junk_food)
LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - Christina Aguilera has given up junk food - because she is paranoid she will have a heart attack.
The 'Dirrty' singer is a self-confessed junk food addict, but insists she only eats it very rarely she is too worried about the health implications of munching on it.
She told Britain's TV Hits magazine: "I am a junk food lover but I've had to curb that quite a bit since I'm not a teenager any more. I think it's important to take care of yourself, especially as a woman. Mostly I think it's really about curbing that so you don't get heart disease or cancer or anything like tView the profile for Jordan on Celebrity Spotlighthat."
Christina, who is married to music executive Jordan Bratman, puts herself through a gruelling exercise regime and sticks to a reasonably strict diet to make sure she doesn't get fat.
She added: "I'm just trying to take care of myself, trying to get as much rest as possible, exercising every day and being healthy and getting my beauty sleep. I do a lot of weight training and some cardio - I like feeling strong."

Christina Aguilera’s hubby supports her pelvic thrusts
Source (http://news.sawf.org/Entertainment/19658.aspx)
London, Aug 31: She may have been highly bold and risque in the past, but it seems Christina Aguilera might be planning to spill a few more ‘Dirrty’ beans on the screen, for she has revealed that her hubby Jordan Bratman is there to support her every single pelvic thrust.
Praising her husband, Aguilera said that since he is so secure in their relationship, he encourages her to be even more libidinous.
“That's the great thing about my husband. He's so secure within himself that he would never, ever even be concerned with that,” the Sun quoted her, as saying.
“He's right behind me, supporting every pelvic thrust. Sometimes he'll even say to me: ‘Why are you covering up? You're sexy, show it off’” she added.
The pop singer further said that Bratman is highly supportive of her career, and has always encouraged her to follow her heart.
“He's always saying to me that he thinks it's great what I do artistically, and he's happy to let everyone see,” she said.

Neil Sean of Sky News reported that despite being offered the highest payout ever to a pop star, Christina Aguilera has turned down Playboy's offer to pose nude. "We're in shock because she's not known as a prude," an insider said. "We're keeping our fingers crossed that she might change her mind."
OMG! I wanna see Xtina on the pages of erm... more glossy magazines.
I'm watching her awesome performance at the VMAs.
She sang Hurt, which is probably going to be her second single from Back To Basics.
I'm lovin this performance, it's simple and classic.

cuz even her grandmother has a negative reaction to her.
"Christina Aguilera's grandmother doesn't approve of the pop singer's racy stage costumes, contactmusic.com reports.
"My grandmother will say anything - she told the press I dress like a hooker," Aguilera said.

^ It's because she's turned over a new leaf fashion-wise for her new album,
Her dresses these days are very decent are evening gown-alike to fit the aura of her new songs.
I like the one she wore at the VMAs when she sang Hurt.
The red dress, the dry ice and the melancholic song plus her great voice made up for a stunning performance.
I'm glad she didn't go over-the-top when she sang.

When Aguilera’s wedding almost went from fairytale to nightmare
Source (http://news.sawf.org/Entertainment/20081.aspx)
Washington, Sept 5 (ANI): Pop princess Christina Aguilera shudders whenever she thinks about how her wedding day nearly turned into a real disaster thanks to her stylist who misplaced the singer’s veil.
Aguilera, who wed music executive Jordan Bratman in a ceremony on November 19, 2005 in Napa Valley, California, revealed that her ‘fairytale’ wedding almost turned out to be a complete nightmare for her stylist forgot a very essential part of her wedding dress – the veil.
The ‘Dirrty’ singer was so distress that she vowed not to work with that particular person ever again.
However, the day was saved when a makeshift veil was made out of Aguilera’s mom’s lace wedding piece.
"At my wedding, I said 'Let's put the veil on' and it wasn't there. It was an oversight of my stylist, who I will never work with again. "Thank God I had my mom's lace wedding piece so we made a makeshift veil," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
The singer also revealed that the person most surprised by her choice of a traditional gown was her hubby who half expected her to walk down the aisle in a ‘crazy’ colored ensemble.
"My husband was surprised at my dress, he thought I'd choose some crazy color," she said.
And, it seems that the couple enjoyed the thrill of exchanging vows so much that they now plans to renew them every five years. The next time however, Aguilera plans to add a little more ‘rock ‘n’ roll’ to them.
"We want to renew our vows every five years, so next time I'll do it a little more rock 'n' roll," she added.

Hey guys! This is the new single cover for Hurt:
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y294/master_diao/1-ca-hurt.jpg
The song is climbing the Billboard charts at a fast pace. It's currently #59 on it's third week. I'm sure we'll see it in the top 50 next week. Anyway, as you might've known, the Hurt music video is out. It's really great! It's very moving and very meaningful, and fits the song very well. You can watch and DL the video here: Christina Aguilera - Hurt MV (http://www.zshare.net/video/christina_aguilera-hurt-mv-wmv.html)
And one more thing. Christina's acting in the video is way better compared to what Jessica Simpson did in her new MV for I Belong To Me.
Before I forget, Christina appears on the single cover of Tell Me, her collaboration with Diddy and the second single from the latter's new album Press Play. Here's the cover. Click on it to download the entire promo single which includes the clean, dirty and instrumental version of the song:

Bad, Xtina, Bad...
Christina Aguilera had to be carried out of a London club on Tuesday morning (28 Nov 06) after a night of heavy partying. Aguilera's former rival Britney Spears has been grabbing headlines recently with her late nights out with Paris Hilton - and now she seems to have followed suit. The 25-year-old was photographed being carried out of London club Kabaret's Prophecy at 5am over a friend's shoulder. Aguilera and her party ran up a bill of $3,800 over the course of the evening. A friend of the star came to her defence telling British newspaper the Daily Mirror that Aguilera didn't drink as much as onlookers might think. The source says, "Not only is she very little, but she was quite tired because she's in the middle of her tour."

Yeah though her attitude needs some adjusting sometimes.I admit she has a very nice & powerful voice for her young age when she first came out.
Especially with the song I turn to You which was a cover of All 4 One's original song from the Space Jam Soundtrack.Genie in a Bottle can't forget that one. It's weird how Britney has better songs, but Christina has a better voice.
They should definitely focus more on Christina since she can contribute so much more to the music industry. Her voice also had a combination of both Whitney & Maria when she sung Reflections for the Mulan soundtrack.^^

Yeah, her songs are beautiful, but her image is kind of inappropriate, but now she's a little better.
I love her old songs, like "I Turn to You". Remind me of a certain someone. ;D
xD
Oh, Christina's going to be a mom? That's awesome! I'm sure she'll certainly be a much better mother than Britney Spears. xP
