Well..... I have been listening to his ablum so ofte n lately, I simply cannot figure out which one to choose....

I think Ban Dao Tie He should be translated as 'Penisula Iron Box'....... coz that is what ban dao means........... thought it sounds better than the direct translation..... I think the impression I got was the box was in the shape of a Penisula.... something like the shape of Malaysia...... that's why they called it ban dao tie he....

wow cool i coudlnt find anyone who liked dui bu qi everytime i played it to anyone. but yea the mtv is really cool for this song...well i actually like all his mtvs a lot (except for yi si tan bao haha this was was kind of bland). his music videos are kind of dark and gloomy - i like that. the ones that are bright and sunny are ncie as well - not the typical. he jsut has a twist to it. for example hes so cool in an hao (secret signal) because he holds hte little microphone thingie and sings...
anyway i like a lot of his songs too. i notice that i grew to like a lot of his songs, and for those that i didnt like the first time i heard it, i think they're at least okay now. and then i grew to liek them and i dont get sick of them...i fell in love with his voice hehe - he puts so much emotion!
but yea i cant pick favorties but the ones i have on my player would definitely exceed five.
its also really cool the way he would alter the songs he wrote ffor other singers (e.g. shi jie mo ri, ni bi cong qian kuai le, wu ding, etc.) and it sounds a lot better. i like his versions a lot better

I DO!!! I luv that song!!! its liek my current fav, i g2 listen 2 it like 20 times a day or i freak out.... its so weird my mom think im nuts.

but my 5 tops r:

1. Luv b4 century - this is my all time fav. the lyrics are perfect, the melody is flowing n beautiful, n when jay sings this song it takes u back in time...totally out of this world.

2. shanghai 1943- the chorus just blows me away - part about "bai qiang hei wa de dan dan de you shan" omgomgomg....
the lyrics really give u that old-time feeling

3. fen lie - i think he sings this so well, n expresses the frustration many of us has about school n how we would just like to run away for a while

4. last battle - SO SAD!!!! the chorus is so sad!!! i dunno what else to say!! everytime i hear it i come so close to crying.

5. armageddon - he wrote the whole song by himself, n it describes a suicidal luver....what could be more deep n sensitive....another song that shows how jay could sing about anything n get u to believe him

Hehe, I posted my answer b-4, but since now we have Ye Hui Mei, there's some changes in my option: My top 5 fave Jay's songs:

1. Ren Zhe
The beat gets me high. Even listening to the intro got me excited already. It was like...."Ahaaahh, Ren Zhe!!!!" :yeah:

2. Ban Shou Ren
My first encounter to Jay's songs. And I think it's the best Hip Hop ever heard. Very beautifully composed.

3. Tong Yi Zhong Diao Diao
This song is soooo neat. I love it with all the instruments sound, and the beats is sooo hip hop and it has the europian taste to it. Very neat.

4. Ai Zai Xi Yuan Jian
I'm more into fast song... but Ai Zai XI Yuan Jian is just sooo beautiful. The melody is vary catchy and I never get bored after thousand and thousand of times listening to it.

5. Qing Tian
I'm having a battle to choose between Qing Tian and Shuang Dao. BUt I think I lean towards Qing Tian. the song is very sweet and it's penned by Jay himself. :love:

HEI SE YOU MO - loneliness + beautiful transition, starts with an alomost whisper to that dramatic "shuo san ni xiang hen jiu ba" in the end.
AN JING - piano arrangement rocks + reminds me of the same thing i lack - the talent to accept defeat in love.
FEN LIE -pain is reflected well in this song, that personal crisis + the cello, oh the cello.
AI QING XUAN YA - i love the whispery "zong ai rang ni cai", awww.
ZUI DE ZHAN YI - creative use of gunshots + that symphonic feel ::sighs::

for the fast-faced songs...

DUI BU QI - the vocal layers gets me everytime
REVERSED CLOCK - it has a certain uniqueness that I really like.Ü
TONG YI ZHONG DIAO DIAO - this song defines diao! layers + diff. instruments + diff. style = same kind of tune, imagine that!
TA DE JIE MAO - i love the way jay sang this song, suits it so well.
YI FU ZHI MING - it's a classic + very creative way of layering it with operatic sounds

don't get me wrong, every song interest me in each own unique way. i'm very much at awe with how jay composes and arranges his songs. he is a friggin musical genius. i'm sure everyone would agree.Ü

Dong Feng Puo - Exquisitely beautiful and almost traditional and its melodic quality and wonderfully poetic words

Long Juan Feng - Deceptively simple yet catchy and melodic, you just feel like singing to it every time you hear this

Fa Ru Xue - Similar to Dong Feng Puo but yet somehow unique on its own, and very traditional mixed with modern production and some rapping at the end, charming

Jie Kou - Didnt appeal at first, but over repeated listenings, the words and the melody eventually gets through and never lets go
