To me..."My Way" sounds like Jay's xing qing!
That's why it caought my attention! I thought it's Jay's song..
Hehehe..the lyrics are not bad.Hins gave a hint that he doesn't want to be like anybody else..but himself. I think Jay would praise him too. Cos Jay always wanted his fans and other people dun follow what Jay himself is doing. :D

Hins doesn't look that bad a least not worse than some people....he have a really nice voice but I still think how some part like in the middle sounds like Cannot Speak in the song "My Way"--My friend & brother agree with me too.
Not exactly like the same (the two songs) but the way he sang the words to that line after he sang "there'll be a brand new day" and something in madarin like i'll face it with courage....that sounds like Jay song Cannot Speak where it is three lines before the songs ends.....the song doesn't song completely the same but some part of it sounds like it take out some of the way Jay's song is sang to combine it and make it "my way".

If it doesn't sound like Kai bu liu kou then it still sound like some the song is combine from taking some part of some of Jay's song to make it. It does sounds like some part of some of Jay's songs so that's one reason why I like the song too!

Yes they are in the same category but too bad anson and leehom don't compose all their music but it was a good thing leehom ask jay to compose a song for him. Anson...hm...i'm startiing to like his songs too but some of his songs are kinda funny to listen but he have great potential store in him and i hope he can compose more songs. I do agree that i am starting to appreciate musically talented people instead of handsome artists and thanks to jay he change my life.

They do have english to teach in China right? I mean my friend wendy just came back from China.....she stayed in China for 4 years.....and her english is just as good as mines.....not to say her mandarin is real good.

well, when i listened to the cantonese story of Hins life on his website...it said his mom was scared it would be too tough for Hins to try and make it famous since hins had a bad health all his life and was often sick...and also he likes whitney Housten b/c his dad first let hins hear her song "ill always be with u"(first time he ever listened to an R&B artist) thats when he started getting into R&B style...also he first started singin in bars and stuff...... when he had his first contract he thought he finaly made it..but then his contract was dropped or somthing b/c of problems with the company(not sure if translation was right) and then soon he was able to work in a company as a like helperish but he was still workin in a music area so he was happy...and he met a philipino couple there that teached him how to compose songs and how to sing....soon after another half a year....he was raised to a higher level in the company or something.....im not sure...but he said the boss was real mean and stuff.......so yeah this is all i heard so far cuz i didnt have the time to finish hearing his life story thing but i'll finish tomorrow^_^

Whoaa.. finally I just bought his album. And I was so surprised b'coz it has 15 tracks. Most of the songs are nice. My way and Qi Dai are my favorites. And I think the second track is pretty good too. His voice kinda reminds me of Zai Zai's voice. Especially on the song with the Bossanova/Jazzy Rhythm. I forgot which track. But that jazz song is very neat too. His style is more R&B than Jay, I think. And the fact that he writes his own music amazed me too. But I still love Jay's compositions. I think Jay's composition is more neat organized yet creative and innovative. Jay makes better arrangements. :) But anyway... back to Hins.... he's talented too. :happy:

Hins' songs are excellent. I personally like Qi Dai, the remix, the mandarin and the cantonese version. I really don't agree he is copying Jay, only that his music is the same genre as Jay's in some songs.

Jay sings romantic ballads and fast rap songs, Hins only sings the ballads with good rhythm. They are just different. It's unfair that many people claim Hins copied Jay and Jay copied David Tao... etc etc.
Makes no sense... let's accept they are all good musicians and enjoy their music.

Hins is a very good singer. In singapore on the Alive concert, he was the one who brought the dead atmosphere high. Hins' songs are really good. Artists that can write their own songs are so incredibly talentd. Just like Jay and Hins. If anyone is looking for downloads, try using WinMX. You can practically find anything on it. I hope Hins will sing more Cantonese songs though. On his album, there were only two.

I think he should stop singing in Cantonese because his Mandarin songs are a lot better. Also, I think it's kind of strange that he puts Cantonese and Mandarin songs on one CD? I mean, he should just try to target one audience.

Yea, my sis rented the awards show. He was breathing, but..... he just didn't look naturally when singing.... I don't mean not natural by lip-synch....

I think i prefer the mandarin version because ive heard it a lot more times than the cantonese. So whenever i hear the tune, the mando pronouciations come into my head and its really wierd to hear different sounds/words. Its kinda wierd... :glug:

the canto version is nice too, but the melody is a little different.

Im not sure what it is either...but theres computer data on it, 3 MVs and 4 audio clips. When you play the songs on a DVD player, the screen is just black.

There is a "Hins First" cd cause I go to some site and it say his first debut cd is "hins first"

BTW maybe he wasn't even known by anyone at that time and so they don't make anymoe of that cd. It's a pity...I never even heard the songs too.

Wow the last post before the previous one was last year in September! Eeks.. anyways, I became a his fan about ...1-2 months ago? after listening to him sing My Way in Mandarin at this award.. and later found out he writes his own songs too... I think that's pretty cool! And yeah, My Way (both Canto and Mand version) are my favorites! He just won an award at the 4th World Music Award I believe.
