Very true, gialinh805. Lots of "celebritity" clothing lines are way out of my reach. Gosh. Like Phat Farm, Ecko, J-Lo, people wear and think its cool all because they're at high prices. the one thing about ecko is that.. when i was in HK everyone was wearing it! like... even some old guy in the street! i was so embarrassed. thinking like "heres a pretty popular brand.." but not popular enough.. since a lot of people didn't know what it was and even a middle aged man was wearing it.

Jie Lun has a very unique style, borders between the old and the new. It would be interesting to see him with a clothing line, but I can't imagine people wearing same thing as him.

But definitely, his clothing line would be unique and would include a lot of interesting finds.

Oh god for the love of my sanity, I hope he NEVER has his own clothing line. How tacky and how absolutely commericialised is that?! It's already taken me a very long time to grudgingly accept his advertisements (especially for Pepsi! ack ack ack!), and thus I certainly don't want to force myself to not judge him negatively for something so Jennifer Lopez and Puff Daddy or whomever too!

Seriously, he's a musician/singer/song-writer, he's not a fashion designer and despite popular beliefs, music isn't about money and I'll stop liking him the day he starts to equate music with money and composes solely for the sake of raking in the cash, though right now I have enough faith in him to doubt that he'd do that. I don't know how to explain this. I guess you have to be one of those irritatingly arty-farty people that renounce commercialism to get the kind of abhorrence I'm having towards the idea of him having his own clothing line. It's so bloody chu pattern, aka extra, like, it's so irrelevant and out of point! At least the director thing is somewhat related, as movies is an art form like music and you're creating something for the soul when you direct, just like when you compose. But fashion design? Superficiality would be an apt word to describe it.

It would definitely be nothing along the lines of Metersbonwe!!!!! Actually, If I was him, I'd already stop advertising for them and go more global. It doesn't really do anything for his image, but it increased Metersbonwe's sales up to at least 10% (since their overall sales increase for the past 2 years were 26%! That's freaking huge man). Advertising for Deerhui is better, but it's a more expensive shoe line. I guess Metersbonwe does have it's perks. It's clothes are so cheap that anyone can afford it. And I guess that pushes Jay's "brand image." blah. I really don't think he'd wear any of the clothes in the store tho, for sure.

Well, if you think about, he's probably going to be the ONLY guy that would look good in his clothing line. However, music artists always start their own clothing line to make more money, it's acceptable. I guess it has it's prons and cons and just depends how you look at the situation.

Fortunally, Jay is one of those artists who DOES have majoy talents, instead of groups like TWINS, or BOYZ... no offense to anybody who like them, but i just don't see their talent. Obviously I doubt the two clothing lines can clash. Phat Farm did have khakis but it was nothing different from like GAP khakis, just a phat farm logo at the top back pocket some where.

Personally, I would like to see Jay start like a clothing line that's like dressy and casual. Dress shirts... as well as regular t-shirts etc. I think he's about to mature out of the hip hop stage and hit dress shirts more..

I think it would be interesting if Jay signed with a clothing company or came up with one of his own. Like many other people, I find Jay's personal style to be quite "diao" XD.
