Jay's birthplace, Taipei or Linkou?

From the TIME article, he grew up in Linkou, but was he born there as well?

hmmm... from what i've gathered, Linkou is a township within the Taipei County. so, when you see Jay's birthplace being Taipei, Taiwan, it's not technically wrong. it can be confusing though cuz there is also a Taipei City. we know that Jay grew up in the Linkou Township. i'm not 100% sure if he was born there as well. most of the time, his birthplace sounded generic. my guess is that he was born in the Linkou Township. i think his mom had already been teaching at a local Linkou school for quite some time...

yah, i'm not sure if linkou is part of within taipei county..but it's extremely close. i know that you pass it on the way from taipei to tauyuan [however you spell that] where the international airport is.

I asked my parent where Linkou is and they said it is a district belonging a Taipei County. (not taipei city). Linkou is halfway between Taipei County and Tao Yuan. (read somewhere that he now lives in Tao Yuan, don't know if true)...

So if Jay is born in Lin Kou, it will be put that he's born in Taipei County.

he DID grow up in Linkou bt yes, it is technically in Taipei lah... but i think that the best way is to ask j himself which is almost impossible or if we may stumble across it one day?? who noezz... :grad:

i've never ever been to linkou..maybe i should plan on going there.. i've traveled to taichung and kaoshiung hehe..and i had fun seeing different places.. going to the faraway beach, fishing for shrimps, seeing the nice view of sun moon lake and a whole lot of other cool stuf..

but judging from the school uniform he was wearing in the mv for FenLie (was it?), his school was within Taipei city...
