Jay wrote 2 songs for Jolin's new album! (Jiu Shi Ai and Hai Dao!)

I heard that Jay wrote 2 new songs for Jolin's new album, which will be releasing soon i guess...
One is called "Jiu Shi Ai" 就是愛 translated as "It is love" something like that. The other song's title is still not yet confirmed. Guess we'll know when her album comes out!

The other song is called Hai Dao! (Pirate)... REading the article now... will translate latr... also found a link for the song... quite nice! will po latr too..

thanks for the info, phyxius. :D i'm always looking forward to new songs by jay. heehee... and i think "Jiu Shi Ai" in this case could be translated as "Just Love". i'm guessing the "love" in this case is a verb as opposed to a noun though i may be wrong. :happy: but "Jiu Shi Ai" just somehow has this sense of defiance to it. like no matter what, i just love ("wo jiu shi ai"). unless it's saying a whole bunch of stuff "jiu shi ai", then i guess there'd be a "this" or "that" in front of this phrase, making it "this is love" or "that is love". =) guess we'll find out when the song is released and we find out about the lyrics. i'm sure jay would tailor-make the songs for jolin again.

Hmm I hope I would PAY more attention to the music instead of the lyrics... :D coz thats what I look for when it comes to hearing a new song..

Even if Jolin gives me the same emoticon as Vunsin's, Jay does composes good songs for her. "shuo ai ni", "why can't you speak clearly", etc. I like them all (despite the fact that I don't particularly like Jolin):bleh:

So, Jolin is one of the 3 ladies that Jay is composing songs for this start of the year...:hmm: The other one is Landy, right?

And yeah, phoebe, she is really too one dimensional to sing about anything else. Well, if she changes her formula, like don't have Jay composing for her, or sing about the sun or swimming (any random subject), will she have the same success on her album? I doubt...

very frankly the songs that Jay composed for her so far are not bad.. (as in Jolin sings them not bad) even though i think if some other singer sang it would have been better... but the tune itself is very good.. i mean i honestly think that shuo ai ni has a very nice and catchy tune and it really suited Jolin quite well.. it fit very nicely into her image.. i mean you can't imagine Elva or Yanzi singing that kind of song right? and the song worked!! (i personally like the song ok!! i never really got sick of it.. ok don't flame me for saying that...!!) it was big in Taiwan and Singapore.. i think whatever song Jay comes up with will probably suit Jolin's style and image.. the media will of cos write their own stupid nonsense again.. but well there's really nothing we can do about it.. Jay and Jolin are friends.. it's perfectly normal for Jay to want to help her as a friend

hahaha i think doing something to Jolin isn't very hard.. i heard she's really small and skinny in real life.. the show that the wind can blow down.. so if you quietly go and *ahem ahem* do something nasty to her she wouldn't know what hit her.... :laughing:

ANYWAY... i don't think Jay gets money if the song does well.. but then again i'm not an insider so i wouldn't really know.. he probably only gets money for writing songs for others... however since Jay and Jolin are good friends i would think Jay would not charge her or charge her very little for a song... sighh

you know if Jolin ever wants to gain respect from more people she really should stop 'relying' on Jay's name to sell.. i mean all Jay's other friends in the industry (eg Xiao Zhu) actually choose not to ride on Jay's fame cos they want to prove themselves.. while i think that Jolin does have her own fan base to quite an extent i think another reason why she could sell so well last year had to do with Jay too... i read somewhere that the popularity of 'shuo ai ni' helped her sell another 100 000 albums..

as for your question, no... jay doesn't have a set number of songs that he writes for any artist. it all depends on the request and what he has time for. for one jolin album, he wrote one song: "why do you not speak clearly". and for the last jolin album, he wrote 3 songs: "say love you", "prague square", and "spirit of the knight". and for this album, apparently 2 songs. :happy:
