I don't know whether this is informative or not but Jay is on the cover of "2003年HitFM年度百大单曲" (I translated it as 2003 Hit FM CD because I really dunno what to call it)

This CD contains 100 of the most popular songs os 2003 including Jay Chou, Jolin Tsai, 5566, Energy, S.H.E, Stephanie Sun, David Tao, Wang Leehom and lots more.

If anyone would like me to translate the 100 song artists/names, just post here and I'll do so. Because if no one wants it, it'll just be a waste of space.

Well I got it from that link retrobaby. If you can read chinese then you might wanna check it. I thought it was some kind of ad too but... I dunno... It seems pretty official to me.

yeah, i think that's just a temporary image for the cover pic. there's no way they'll put jay's m-zone ad on the cover like that. :happy: it's not even a proper CD cover with the album title and other info. :wink2: and i think this thread belongs in Concert/Music Discussion & News since it's not an OFFICIAL news article translation. plus, it talks about an album.

Wow, so far i havent seen any of Jay's songs in any compilation CDs be it love songs, top songs of the year or whatsoever. I thought it's because Jay's company dont wanna allow that to happen.. Hmm.. So is this for real? I dont mind getting it cuz there so many different songs by different artistes. Maybe a good chance for me to know more chinese songs. Heh..

Eh only three of his songs are on the CD? What the heck. And it has English songs too? No point in me getting it, I can't stand half of the singers on the list. :)

Yeah. I mean, Jolin did record her vocals on the second-best selling album of last year. (I refrained from using the word "produce" for I think that would be giving a bit too much credit. :)) And besides, two of her songs were written by Jielun, so in a way, it's actually his credit. Haha!

actually, jay wrote THREE songs for her on that album: Shuo Ai Ni, Qi Shi Jing Shen, and Bu La Ge Guang Chang. so, i'm not surprised that her album is a big hit. all those songs that jay wrote were excellent. it showed various sides of jolin cuz i think jay's music made her singing more dynamic. there was cute & catchy, and also rap parts, which is kinda a breakthrough for her.

as for why there are only 3 songs, i think they're just trying to be fair to all the artists. most of the popular artists only have 3 songs. so, besides jay, there was david, lee hom, S.H.E., etc. there are 100 songs in total. but when you think about all the artists in the industry, 100 songs is nothing. having 3 songs is quite good already. if there were any more jay songs, it might appear to be a biased album with not enough variety. after all, you can't expect them to put half the songs from YHM on a compilation album for all artists, right? :wink2:

Yeah like Lisa said. Three is alot. I don't think any other artists names got mentioned more than 3 times no? Jolin's songs are pretty good actually because Jay wrote the music for them. There isn't anything wrong with putting her songs on the album because she does have fans somewhere out there... I hope... :glug:

No I think u interprete wrongly..it's not from the recording compnay (alfa)or Sony..it's just from Hit Fm...it's not big deal...cause it's songs from all artists like maybe all kinds of songs from mandarin to cantonese??
