B2K has broken up

okay, i'm not really a big fan of them but their music r pretty okay. so here's the news on them:

NEW YORK -- Platinum-selling R&B quartet B2K has split up, their manager said Monday.

The teen heartthrobs gained instant success and legions of screaming fans when they made their debut in 2002. Their hits include "Bump, Bump, Bump" and "Uh Huh," and they will make their movie debut in "You Got Served," set for release on Jan. 30.

"We've had a great run together making hit songs, albums and now movies. The kids are growing up and are interested in pursing their own careers," manager Chris Stokes said in a statement. "I have enormous respect for each of them, and I wish them success in their pursuit of their individual careers. B2K was an extremely talented singing group that will surely be missed."

A call to their publicist at Epic Records wasn't immediately returned.

According to the statement, disagreements among the group members -- Omarion (Omari Grandberry), Lil Fizz (Dreux Frederic), J-Boog (Jarrell Houston) and Raz B (De'mario Thornton)_ fueled the breakup of B2K, meaning Boys of the Millennium.

Stokes said he would continue to manage the career of Omarion, who has the starring role in "You Got Served." The soundtrack to the movie, now in record stores, may serve as the group's last album together.

So anyone remember them? hehe, even though they just been new like about two years ago. I thought they were kinda successful, hmm...i wonder if their movie is gonna be good, all i know is a break dancing kind of movie.

i guess Omarion was just always in the spotlight. If i were in the band and it was always about him, i would leave too. cant wait to see you go served though!

Thanks for the news. :shock: Aww...this is sad. I like their music...J-Boog was hot...ghehe...Hmm...I don't know...it's pretty sad. Oh well...almost all boybands break up lately...:wacko:

AWw...they broke up? I actually liked them at first. Like their song Bump Bump Bump was really catchy~ Yeah like Sinny(can I call you that?) said, most of the boybands are breaking up and going onto solo careers like Omarion in B2K and Justin in Nsync...etc. Tahnks for the news ^^

sure, no prob. :wink2: Well...first Nsync didn't broke up or something...but since Justin's solo career was a success he didn't wanted to go back to these "boyband" things...:dry:

Pretty damn quick breakup.

The movie doesn't interest me much, I'm not expecting it to be much of a success. Not the best publicity either, breaking up before the debut of a movie.

I'm not a fan of B2K,though I have to admit that they've had some catchy songs.I just think it was a pretty bad career move for them to break up while they're so on top of the game.People aren't gonna look at them the same again,look what happened with 3LW(I'm not a fan of them either).I'm not sure Omarion has the maturity as an artist to go solo yet.

haha... didnt see this thread at all.. i loved b2k.. omarion and jboog are prettty hot.. they're brothers like step brothers or something.. did u guys kno that? ... but it was bound to end neways... omarion was liek the only one singing... it might as well.. be omarion wit his 3 back-up singers... but cant wait for omarion solo album... heard that hes' working with the neptunes n everything... jboog and fizz started a record label.. called fbi... i think it was fizz and boog i... something something

I like the neptunes, but that's besides the point: B2K broke up. Well, isn't that the obvious for bands eventually? :?

I don't know if Omarion, the one whose going to go solo will have much of a success or be forever known as "the guy from B2K" ... who knows. I'm not a fan of theirs, but my deepest regrets for B2K fans though. I remember one of my favorite band kind of broke up (schools, personal issues etc.) and that bummed me out for a while too.
