I don't think I've seen any topic of her so I've decided to start one...

Wella... she's known as " Liao Shang Ge Shou" which means her songs encourage those who break up with their partners....Most of her songs are nice, such as her new song, "Ting Bu Dao" and her previous album songs such as, " Wei Wo Hao" and " Di San Zhe".....

She's also a hardworking singer as she listens to different albums sang by different singers everyday and also learn music instruments as she feel that she's not that talented enough....

Such a nice singer... did anyone notice her?

zchen is a malaysian like fish... I think a good part of chinese in malaysia can speak canto. in fact... I've always felt that their canto is better than mandarin....

I think zchen has lots of talent... but somehow he just aint making it big (like REALLY big)... poor guy... he deserves more attention to his music than he gets now...

i just bought her latest album,and the songs is reli nice~i like her mv,most of her mv got a story and it is nice!

besides that,i also bought her cosuin,Zchen's latest cd at the same time,and he is quite talanted,both of them are from malaysia,my country..hehe~

Zchen,malaysia,partcipate in singing contest b4 and release his album in malaysia,but not too popular until he expand his carrer in taiwan,got named "little king of R&B",he can compose and write his own songs...and currently he is expand his carrer again in HK,with his new cantonese songs....sound not bad,i like some of his songs...cos also R&B...

i've never heard jasmine sing in canto. i've only heard of her mandarin songs and those i've heard, i really like. i guess maybe that's why she's called "fish"? as a nickname for "ah yu", i suppose, since "fish" also has the sound of "yu" in canto? :D anyway, i hope over time, people will notice her talent as well as appreciate zchen's. :)

I think Jasmine suits her. Fish is just kinda...err...weird... When I first got her Cd, it said Liang Jing Ru, Fish Leong. But since my Cd was pirated, I thought it was just some cheap company that would type any word for her english name. Hehe. Stupid ol' me.

Yup nupengyou, she did sing that song and you made up the name right too. "Fen Shou Kuai Le" was sung by her. There's also another version of her singing with 3 other girls. But I dunno their names. One is Huang Jia Qian. She was a host on Super Sunday for awhile and she was also in Toast Man's Kiss. That's all I know about her... If anyone wants this song, just post here and I'll gladly upload it.

I'd recommend Cai hong from her compilation power of love songs...(a mayday song, but she did a good one, unique style and all) actually the compilation contains all her 'hits'... I think if you have to name the biggest one it must be fen shou kuai le (she's won so many awards with that one)

I think both versions are unique... mayday's version has this 'disillusioned by love' feel (very guy), while fish's version has a 'cang sang' (沧桑） feel... (sorry, I dunno how to translate that... perhaps a 'empty sadness'... :oops:)

i think she is simply GREAT! she has very nice and soothing voice. actually di san zhe is also very nice, its from the same album as wei wo hao. wo xi huan is another song i like. the lyrics is quite romantic....

Her new album is worth buying.. Not bad i suppose. Ting Bu Dao is nice.. she's really got this beautiful voice. In fact, i won't get tired even listening to some of her past songs.. One of my faves are still Fen Shou Kuai Le and Cai Hong(probably coz MayDay wrote it? :X)
Wei Wo Hao's lyrics are nice too.. Anyone remember the MV? There's 2 parts to it right? I had a hard time d/ling it the other time.. in the end i reformatted my comp and its gone. Still miss it alot.. Coz its a rather good MV.. reflecting a high sch girl falling for her teacher and so on.

When I first saw her on TV last year, I didn't like her. I liked her voice but she seemed too... plain? Don't get met wrong, I don't idolise pretty singers. But her appearance was all not quite right for a singer. And she did not look very feminine , though I think her publicist should get the blame. Her outfits were disastrous and kinda tasteless.

But...

I saw her MVs lately. She has bloomed! She lost a lot of weight too, I realised. But at least her hair looks nice, and her make-up is all looking fine on her. I hate to admit this but now I realise that a singer's appearance really does matter.

I like both Fish and Zchen's music and their voices. Whoa talented family...

One of the first songs I've heard of her was Fen Shou Kuai Le. I heard the song and and saw the video at KTV, I was hooked. Her voice is so clear, sweet and smooth. The type of female voice I like.

Her latest release is definitely worth the buy if you're new to her music and want to know more. A compilation of her best songs I think. I especially enjoy her new song, Ting Bu Tao and her other songs like di shan zhe, cai hong also some upbeat songs like ai ni bu shi liang san tian, beautiful...the list goes on. I agree that most of the songs she sings really suits her distinctive voice. Personally I think she has the look to go with the voice as well! The sweet wide eyed look. I'm loving her music more and more!

BTW I have another version of Fen shou Kuai Le sung by Gigi Leung and Fish. Also many other Liang jing Ru songs. I'd be happy to upload whatever songs that aren't already uploaded. :)

kahel, yes... I've heard Cai Hong already. It's quite a different feeling. Fish's version is so sad... her voice sounds breaking when she sang that. I love both versions, but I think I will prefer Mayday's version because it has the orchestra background. ^_^

Of all Fish's MVs that I saw, most of them are dramatic... like they have storylines. And she has the same MV model most of the time.

I like Tiffany's MV so much. She dressed in all pink and she was so pretty with her dollish hair.

but her concert in singapore was GREAT! she's such a good singer. very powerful, steady, but can be very sweet too. like emil chau said (zhou hua jian) there r not many good singers out there now, fish is one of the better singers ! she's really good!
oh she also sang dong feng po. everyone just loves dong feng po. even sky wu (wu si kai) also sang it while playing the piano at his concert here in singapore last year.

i love her music (apart from the boring songs), her voice is incredibly amazing (her range is incredible!) and she's so gorgeous with those eyes and her smile but....

i dont like that wierd thing she wears on her head much... and sometimes stuff she wears makes her look funny? i know she's trying to be different and extravangant and stuff but...i dunno,there's something odd looking about some of her costumes?

I saw her at this kaoshiong (tw) nye concert and i didnt even know who she was, but i was like "i like that girl!" - and that started my love affair with jasmine's music and voice. :p (plus her clothes were pretty good at that concert haha)

I hope she wins too! Stef has a good voice and CD, but I think Jasmine's are better. Her most recent CD has so many great songs - Ning Xia, Yan Wei Die, Jie Shou, Zhong Jian, Wo Dou Zhi Dao... She was nominated last yr for best female, but unfortunately she didnt win. hopefully she does this year!

yup.. well, i just watched half of her love parade concert.. finally, i got a copy.. it was sad that her first concert was not sold out.. honestly, there were many empty seats.. but she was very happy.. her voice was still great even if she sang live.. her costumes were nice and the whole decorations suited her.. well, the concert was not as exciting as jay's because her songs are mostly ballads.. but overall, it was nyc.. i just hope that people start recognizing her talent.. and on her side, she needs to be more creative.. uniqueness is the reason why jolin, elva & stef sun are popular.. :worry:

well, i finished watching her concert last night.. i must admit that it was a little bit boring.. maybe im just used to jay's and david's concert which are a lot of fun.. and she lacked interaction except her last few songs.. her concert was purely about music.. not so much of creative ideas.. but towards the end.. she really became emotional while singing 'yong qi'.. she really cried during her last four songs.. she talked about her dad who passed away last 2004 and how she was grateful to have her first concert - her dream after waiting so many years.. she sang 'chang shen xiang qi' which is an old song - song that reminded of her dad.. it was really sad.. :depresse:

i really hope that soon people start recognizing her talent.. and hope that she wins in this year's GMA.. hehehhee.. :-)

Leung performed her new hit single "Silk Road", composed, arranged, and produced by Taiwan singer Leehom Wong. Wong specifically few in from New York City, where is is working on his own album, to collaborate with Leung. Ah-xin, the lead singer of Taiwan pop band Mayday - who wrote lyrics for this single - appeared as a guest singer last night adding to the fun.

The stage-set for Jasmine Leung's concert was designed to look like an extravagant palace and Leung was the only "princess" on stage. 　　

It was Leung's first concert on the Chinese mainland. And organizers invited orchestral musicians to accompany her. 　　　

Leung's new album will be released in mid-September.

I just found out about Liang Jing Ru recently, around last month only! What a waste, I should have know her earlier. I love her new song, Si Lu, the one that Wang Lee Hong wrote for her. Sounds so amazing, honestly, she's the first Malaysian artiste that I like. She's pretty too :brows:

I absolutely love her voice! Second from Faye Wong, she's my most favorite Chinese singer currently. I just really like unique voices. So any news on a new album or anything? Mawi is a Malay guy who won one of the talent shows in Malaysia one or two years back and became extremely popular after that among the Malays.

Yes, 'Jie Shou' is one of the songs in her album 'Yan Wei Die'.
