She is known for her extremly large eyes (HK news said it was as big as saucers....ofcourse that really isn't true)

I'm so glad Vicki has been successful ever since Huan Zhu Ge Ge. I first saw her in that series. I think she was very talented and she could play the role of the rebellious, playful, cheeky and bratty princess very well although a lot of people around me said they didn't really like her (which I still think is rather unreasonable) because she over-reacted. I think it was because of this kind of reaction towards her acting that proves how good she is in acting. I've also heard of some of her songs before. I don't know about this new one coming out, but most of her previous songs were more of the acid jazz stuff and her vocals aren't really impressive. But at least she can carry a tune! Overall, I think Vicki is really talented.

Actually her character in So Close is in fact (meant to be) a homosexual. She admitted that in an interview before. I wonder why people get so confused?

i really like Vicki. i think she's a very dynamic actress. she's had a lot of cutsey roles, it seems. but i think she's very talented. i haven't seen too much of her stuff so far. i wasn't able to catch the whole Huan Zhu Ge Ge series, where she was immediately noticed. and i haven't seen Qing Shen Shen Yu Meng Meng either. should really find some time to watch these two dramas. heehee...

i've seen her in the movie Shaolin Soccer and the series Xia Nu Chuang Tian Guan. i love her roles in both, especially for the drama. she played the light-hearted parts as well as the serious parts very well.

hey, i wanna see Jade Goddess, too! cuz i heard from a long time ago even before filming started that nic tse was gonna be in it with vicki. so, i'm curious about the "chemistry". plus, nic is supposed to speak mandarin in that one. anyway, i enjoy seeing vicki act in various roles. it really shows that she has true talent.

i just dug out my CD on which i had burnt a bunch of music files. i found about 10 vicki songs. i thought i had more... maybe i deleted some. :oops: one of them is a cover of teresa tang's "qian yan wan yu", but the ending was cut off. :glug: hmmm... and one of them is a clip of her singing a subtheme for the drama series "xia nu chuang tian guan" (swordgirl), that's not part of the original series in taiwan. it was the version in china or something... :unsure: anyway, i'm gonna take a listen through the tracks. i can upload them for you guys sometime if you like. :happy:

Vicki has a good voice though, despite what media might say that she can't sing. Because she sung the OST and other subtheme songs for Qing Sheng Sheng Yu Meng Meng and they are all really good and her voice can go to certain high ranges. Ah.. those songs are so sweet.

after the whole HZGG phase, i was one of the first people to buy her first album... it wasn't good!! personally the songs were to childish for me. but i guess she took some vocal lessons because now i think she sounds great. especially when she was singing with a-do in the CNY special. i as well don't know the name of the song because the announcer was speaking over them at the time. i taped it.. er..well that one part.. so many be if i put it on slow i can decifier what they're saying.

HZGG is one of my alltime fave shows! she is so cute in that show. a really good actor. even my parents and grandparents liked that show. ^^ i think she is a decent singer, cuz i think i saw her sing a duet with some dude (i dunno his name, he is a singer that decided to do this show with her) on the CCTV NY's festival. i think she has a very clear sweet voice. but i havent heard anything else by her. :)

Oh I used to love Vicki so much because of HZGG!! I still do, it's just that I can't really keep up with news about her nowadays. Where's she been? She is...or was (Dont know is she still is), the spoke person for Marie Claire, a lost weight program/clinic or whatever you call those things. And that's why she lost all her baby fat; Being the spoke person, she had to go through the programme too. I think Christy Chung is also a spoke person for that company.

Oh and Lisa-jie, my HZGG OST is in cassette form too. At the time I can't really afford CDs...so, cassette it is. Better than nothing, rite?

Yu Kwan Yin or Jade Goddess was a really good movie! its a bit rushed and the relationships don't have the time to develop like they should, but they had to pack what was a long tv series into 2 hours so i guess you can't blame them.

She stars in the "Penitentiary Angel" although she isn't the star actress. I haven't seen this movie in stores yet but it's gotten pretty good reviews. It's basically about 7 women in prision in china change their lives. anyone hear of it?

HEy lil~jo. I think I have come across some piano scores for HZGG. I will try to hunt them down for you. Anyways, yeah I love Vicki. Except, I just hate it when I hear nasty rumors about her. Like I was surfing through the pic thread at solid07 and saw one of her smoking. I was just sad. I hope she really doesn't smoke because I don't want it to harm her. Anyways, I liked her in HZGG. I think her and Alec Su make a good pair. She has more chem with him than Leo Ku. Romance in the Rain was really good too. I loved all the songs she sang in there. My fave was the boat song. Wow, I was watching Shaolin Soccer last time, and I didn't even realize that it was Vicky acting as the girl until she shaved her hair and I could see her eyes O_O That was one weird movie.

Hmm...I never knew she came out with an album. Is it worth downloading? I really stopped following her after she left in HZGG2. But even at 27, she's so cute :O

I don't know why they made vicki look real bad in that show...her usually clear and beautiful skin....looking like that was unbelievable.
Well not all of her albums are fabulous.
I mean, pick out the songs you like.
There are some fairly nice ones.

I followed on with her movies.

I remember when HuanZhuGeGe was raving about in those years, the whole bunch of us who took the schoolbus used to have our very own roles. I remember I was the 13th pricne, or something like that. LOL.

Anyway, gee she lost ALOT of weight a few years back right? When I first saw her on television I got a huge surprise.

Hahahas but I really like her eyes. They look really good on her, & somehow she doesn't give me the "Look my eyes are so huge so I'm cute" kinda impression x)

I haven't heard much from her forawhile, it seems she's not that popluar anymore, I did use to like her, still do but not as much.
The only poplur series that I like of her is Princess returning pearl, romance in the rain and treasure venture, since then I haven't heard much about what she's been up to.
